Who has better chances of survival when left to save themselves? The old woman or his wife? Why I'm asking is, what if he went for the one that couldn't help herself out, knowing fully well that his wife is still young/energetic and can make it out? You need to also view this situation from other perspective and not just through sentiments/emotions..

He wouldn't understand that. He'd be mad at his father. Because to him the world revolves around his mom. Not knowing that if the dad was to think like him too, the world would revolve around his grandma.

And if the wife was in a situation to save either him or her mom, he wouldn't find it acceptable if she chose to save her mom instead of him. That's how the world is. Everyone is selfish.

It is a very difficult question. I like your answer,it shows maturity. I love my mum but my family come first. It is left for my father to take full responsibility of the needs of my mother. In a situation where you don't have the privilege to marry again,na your mum u go nack,bear you children?

Yea that's true. Though I think I would save my wife first because she has become a huge part of me. But the situation on ground can also decide for me and I would just act without thinking.

She is too wonderful and special, she treated me well, she was always there for me, she gave everything I wanted, she always agreed with my decisions, she prayed for me, she never scolded me she only advised me, she prayed for me when i was sick, held me in her arms, she would give me brrakfast in bed, she advised me when i had my first gf at 16 to be wise, she is more than a mother to me she is my best friend, she is very playful with me and she is very beautiful, she is very gentle and calm, *tears* she is getting old now thou 50 years, but I'm scared cause time flies I wish I would never lose her to death when she is old, I wish I can make her live forever. Will never see a woman to replace ma mum, I would die for her anytime any day with no regrets.

The wife[b] might be young and energetic[/b] but don't forget she also has the children to worry about.

Na wa oh! so some people can ever think of abandoning their mother to rescue a wife? one even justify his choice with instance of vice versa, do you expect her to save you at the expense of either her parents or child? His wife is in a better position to save herself on this occasion & even if mother is old, you should protect her till death in all situations. This is why careless mother's are springing up in the society this days

Yes, I would be able to accept that just the way I would expect my brother to save my mother first and my husband to save his mother first.

Wivs are not idiots or teddy bears. They should work out and be fit and help themselves too.

He left his entire family. What if they all die? No good mum will tell the son save me and let your family perish. It's just dat sometimes when situation happens like dis, we cnt think right. so I cnt blame anyone.

May b d man n d woman even quarrel dat morning n u expect him to chose her over his mum after all d insult? A woman is not said to hav been ur wife forever until she stay old wit u n die in ur house. Mothers are irreplaceable so I stand 100% wit d man.
