Just wondering what's the highest rate ever given, has the NTB rates ever crossed 20% because the way the economy is going and with the increase in MPR by the MPC anything is possible

Wot do u think guys.. ...for strategy sakes.. ...

Hello all,
I have posted on this thread before.
I assume T-bills are much safer than regular stocks and definately safer than money sitting in an account.
That is the reason I am not taking a more serious look at Tbill now.
I have a very silly question but I hope someoe can tell me if this is possible or even necessary:

Suppose i approach my bank (lets say Skye bank) and I buy N2m worth of T-bills. At maturity, is it possible to divest to another bank (say GTB)?

Thanks in advance

Just make sure you tick 'terminate on maturity' so the principal can drop into your account on maturity. Then you can move to another bank.

Any suggestions for 81days today?
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by selade(m): 11:58am On Aug 01, 2016
@feelamong and others

1. Please what rate do you advise for 364 days

2. What does current market price and recent stop rate at OMO auction mean? And how does it relate to expected rate at next auction?

3. Is the current market price the rate one will get at the secondary market?

Expecting to hear from you

feelamong:

As at on friday 91 days closed at 15.3

182 days closed at 18.5

364 days closed at 19.6

Lets wait and see the rates for monday first before tuesday bid date

I insist to bid by myself but was hearing story that the rate is less than 10 percent last time the officer Check online. I collected the form though and promise to fill it and return first thing in morning coz I was late

There is nothing like 81days tenure on primary auction, unless u ar talking about secondary auction. Primary auction has 91days, 186days and 365days tenures and the auction is on Wednesday.

How can you specify rates without duration? You are just confusing people more.
