Good! We can't be throwing monies at their repairs only to have them lie redundant due to the activities of some terrorists in the Niger Delta.

The refineries must function for the good of all genuine Nigerians and if that means bringing in crude from our neighbors, so be it- after all, it is better than importing gasoline since we would be the ones producing the value added products.

It would probably be more cheaper than relying on the Niger Delta while repairing pipelines blown up by greedy fellows. You can blow your pipelines to your heart desires.
But we still need to sell crude oil to enable us survive or you have not thought about that?

Kudos to NDA then. Achieving this is a huge success I must say. With a little more persistence the NDA can achieve more.

Buhari and his goons can import crude from Jupiter if they like.

At least the north is getting crude oil. The pressure can now reduce drastically on Niger delta oil.

Congrats!

There is no forex to import crude, if crude price rises, it will erode the gains of this whole venture. Secondly the lake chad basin is as unsafe as the Niger delta so that can not spell an alternative. Modifying the refinery is no walk in the park, it took us nearly 2yrs to get it done the last time, the proposal is DOA.

We have always assume we need to sell crude oil to survive. That is being debunked daily. If PMB continue like this for another one year, ND oil will fall into secondary matter of discussion. It will become alternative source of income. Just watch.

I see a lot of u guys are happy that production is not going on in ND. Not recognizing that continually, other places are bracing for survival apart from ND. Like cutting your nose to spite your enemy uh??

This is a MASTERSTROKE. I have been wondering why they were not thinking of this before. The new subsidy removal regime makes it economic . The problem is the security and environmental issue of trucking crude oil

Nigerian leaders and stupidity. Wasn't Kaduna refinery there to refine Nigeria's crude all the while they where exporting and latter importing only pms @ unimaginable price? Now they want to import Niger's crude to be refined in Kaduna. Hihihihihihih, North my must be an oil producing geo political zone. Rubbish, what you don't have, you don't have. Latter we 'll hear that the refineries are not working @ 100% capacity like even though they were, it will be enough. Dollar is now 400 and oil marketers are threatening increase in pms price yet Kaduna must become an oil producing state. #bubudfoo's economic policies are so whacked.

If logistics and transportation is cheaper and safer, and that will make KD refinery go full steam (after reconfiguration to process more of 'light crude'), why not? No more subsidy, it is same oil, same price.

We were bringing in 'heavy crude' from Venezuela at a time for KD (even though we have abundance untapped in Ondo). We can sell off KD's allocation to international buyers.

What is the problem? 'Mafish'.

Very foolish. Pain has finished you completely. You have not seen anything yet. You will now know the difference between good leaders and brainless leaders like Buhari. Am sure by the time Buhari is through with his four year tenure, most of you will never be the same any more because of this severe pain you are going through. As usual, continue to clap, dance and sing in appreciation of Buhari's leadership. You will experience suffering arising from the dumbest leadership styles. The heat from your hate description of the Ijaws are enough increase you bp level multiple times.

That questions show as if you do not know Buhari. Anything that has to do with the North will come so easy. It will take Buhari less than a second to provide the money to import.

Let Buhari start importing crude from anywhere and stop sucking our oil...

We are the one to determine who to sell our crude oil to
That has been our prayer. Let the north find oil or import with the money that belong to the entire country and use it to import oil for Kaduna, no problem provided Buhari will leave us alone. Rubbish.

All of una nor know Buhari abi? Which regions is Kaduna and which region do Buhari come from? Are you a visitor? So don't you think as far as the north is concern, it will take Buhari less than a second to provide the money? Why do you think Buhari appointed many northerners in his cabinet? And who told you production is not going on in ND? Who told you I'm happy with NDA activities? . My grouse is that you people always say that ND oil is not important, yet the country's budget is always predicated on the price of crude oil. Don't you think it's time you people look for a practical alternative to crude oil? I hope you know the amount of funds earmarked by the FG to hunt for crude oil in the Northeast? The funds came from the sale of crude oil from ND. I hope you know how people celebrated the discovery of crude oil in Lagos? But when it comes to ND, you people would say crude oil is not important just because of hypocrisy and the fact that ND is of the minority. Let's learn how to treat ourselves with respect, love and sense of belonging in this country. The wealth of a Nation can never be too much, so, even if we have other means of creating wealth crude oil will still be relevant take it or leave it.

Maybe you didn't have any knowledge of economics the crude is to be refined and sold. sold not share free so the money for importing shouldn't be your headache what should concern you is availability of petroleum products
Seems you misconsrued his assertion, he opined of where the funds for making an incipent importation will be sourced. you only provided the answer to how the importation can be sustained.

Money for such could be borrowed, besides FG is seeking funds from bonds. Should I be concerned about where a manufacturer would get fund from or be concerned about getting quality goods and services?
