Good evening wonderful people. Nice work you guys are doing here.

Please I need urgent info on how a sponsor in USA can send invitation letter to me in Nigeria. Also the letter would serve as an indication of the persons intent to sponsor my studies abroad.

Also I'd like to know if the letter would be sent to me or to the USA embassy.

Idaho is the state in question. Thanks

Cc: xlyte, LagosismyHome
I grew up knowing about letter of invitation but on Nairaland this question has been asked several times to both VO on this site and they have both said they do not look at letter on invitation. Let me go look for the exact quote and post

abujaniv:
A reminder that we do NOT require letters of invitation for B1/B2 visa applications, nor do we generally require any kind of paperwork at all. You're coming to the consular section for an in-person interview, not to drop off documents. If there's a document you need and you don't have it, we're always able to give you a chance to come back with it. But - especially for B1/B2 applications - it's very rare that we'll look at any documents at all, and we generally don't need any documents to make our decision. So there's no need fretting over an invitation letter, proof of employment, or something like a W-4.

what do I do please. answer I gave I thought it was enough to demonstrate that I have a financial backup for my studies even they didn't even request for any of my documents. I read further about the denial under section 214b were I was found ineligible, I could hardly understand where my mistake was coming from, that's why I'm even more confused

Is your brother American citizen?

How did he get the citizenship matters a lot to VO when people claim that people like that are their sponsors because their belief is that the sponsor will surely teach the person same route.

Sorry for your delay
Firstly how old are you? ..... going to start a bsc after a certain age is a red flag that this person just want to run away red flag 1 age for bsc .... nursing degree red flag 2 . Then who sponsoring him . His brother who lives in america.... red flag 3 . Doing what a not so fancy job tittle.....red flag 4 .. d brother went to America why is he not back ? So this might do a runner as well red flag 5. How many schools did you apply to one. ....d final nail on the matter red flag 6

We have talked on this thread on the problem with applying to only one school . Your whole packaging is very difficult to sell. Although there is an element of luck that someone with similar might scale through but general this whole package (6 potential red flags) is hard to sell that u are not an intending immigrant who just want to run away ......

so d only feedback i can think of is look at these 6 red flags and see how u can reduce it to none or less flags
