Lady G is right. Its not CBN policy that account must be opened 6months before. Its Bank specific.

@ Firstymum and the person looking for PTA: FCMB made the policy of account must be 6months like 5yrs ago o, so i doubt she can get there. An overzealous account officer that wants to meet target might tell you that they will sell to you. Also, the account officer might not know the policy especially in up country branches.

@ the people that responded to my consent letter question: thank you guys, I know how it works just wasnt sure if they woukd accept the other type.

@ the whole house: good luck with baby deliveries, dollar hustling, "agenting thinz", trying to conceive and assistance offering.

I used flexible dates for late October to early January and was able to get #815k for 3 people(1child) which is like #270k per person. However, if you get any fare less than #300k right now, I feel that's a great deal as the nearest is like #400k per person!
Oh how I get. The child is just 10 percent of one person (I guess)... Thanks alot dear

I go to the bank looking all fragile and I waddle in an exaggerated way... Taking my time walking slowly, holding my waist. When I sit down I put my hand on my waist takin deep breaths in and out. Like one who is in labor
My dear dey answer me sharp sharp make I no born for there.
Same method when I wanna use atm.
No one shld judge me..

Is the PTA Same day you apply, if not, how long does it take?

Could be same day if applied before 10am. But to be on the safe side, prepare your mind against two days.

So my NL People, i waka small today on this PTA fact-findings. I opened a Stanbic account today and was told that my account has to be active for 2 months b4 one can apply for PTA and application has to be made 2 weeks to travel date i.e. u must ve travelling in minimum of 2 months and 2 weeks from today. I sha opened like dat even though i ve 2 months and few days, we'll cross that hurdle wen we get there.

For Access, na so i went there also to 'resurrect' my old NYSC acc and they confirmed the acc isnt even dormant just to update my records and do change of name and start funding it. I was told i can apply for PTA 'some' weeks to my travel date and they dot give cash but travel card or so.

Long and short story, my PTA hustling is in motion. So pls tell me which bank again i need to go because this my useless GTB wont come to my aid.

Ok this my opinion.
Houston poe swingles either way. Just b prepared.
If u can get a different correspondence aside from Dr F it'll b better. He's popular with these cbp guys and dey r complaining. But if u can't that's not ur fault. Be prepared and go. Remember the saying "if God be for us"

Just checked out of curiosity o... not travelling so no need for the exclamation mark biko.

Dwebb55:

Again the quotes were for October departure. Your departure date is just too close to today to get good rates. I checked Air Maroc and it's like N560K for the dates you stated. I always advise people to purchase their tickets as soon as your visa is given. The price might drop from August 23 but if the exchange rate stays at N380+, we will still have high ticket prices. Try and buy your tickets as early as possible!

That way u can use ur card when u travel

You can but the charges may be out of this world. I have an account with diamond bank but when I read through the charges on the card, I didn't bother activating the card. The charges are in Fx o. That's my fear with this Access card. Hope there won't be charges.

I have resurrected my fcmb bank account. Don't know if I still have the details of my NYSC Access bank account.

For those who have a very good I internet connection, here's a way to help out with the high costs of calling the US, sign up for a gmail or Google account and activate google voice. You can then call the US and Canada for free and other countries at very reasonable cost.

Does it follow the daily, monthly limits and is there a cap per transaction?

This is some goodnews for intending travelers. I will however advice that enough research be done on these hospitals.

Great advice. However considering that she posted the name of her hopsital thereby making actual research easier, you didn't.
So I believe you should follow her style and post the name of this your doctor and accomodation so it can be researched upon....no be so?

I have been absent for a while.

For those intending to give birth in Houston, Texas, you can now contact me. I have arrangement for Doctor, Hospital and a very sweet accommodation for you. Accommodation is around $1,100 dollars per month and you have full amenities including internet, laundry, swimming pool and playground.

I actually agree with first time mum.
This is the height of indolence. Somebody just put to bed. Posted her costs and hospital. Simple to use google and get an affiliated doctor , people are dropping emails to be contacted and spoon fed. Hiannnnn! Ohhh kwa!
That is why dr F. nwa is showing people pepper because out of the zillion doctors we must herd to him because we couldn't be bothered to do a little work.

I just asked a Branch Manager. The advice is for you to open and fund the account, then make your request the next day or two.
