Oh! To have a broken home or marriage is too bad. I always plead with couples to try as much as possible to remain at peace with each other for the sake of their children. This boy should not have addressed his father like that no matter what. Yes he may have neglected you n ur brother, but he is still your father through whom God Almighty in HIS infinite wisdom gave you breath n life. It is better you resolve such issue in private than to discredit your dad in public with such height of bitterness. When your children grow up to treat you same way, quickly remember you did it to your father. If your father curses you, you are finished for life. Please give him that honour and try all you can to make peace with him n ur mum, So that it will be well with you.

Will Jamaal the son of Tiwa ever be proud of his useless father?

Was Ryan Giggs not born as Ryan Wilson? Yet he rejected the useless name of a useless father, and embraced his mother's name declaring himself to be his mother's child. Boy, did he make that name proud.

Ok so they went and buried the son of Etoromi’s family in Oduah's compound. Lets wait till the day calamity will strike because i know the "gods" are very wise. His corpse must be exhumed someday sometime and be returned to his family home.

And for the boy ranting nonsense about his father, you are still being blindfolded by your mothers wealth. No matter what you might think you are, people will one day tell you where u came from and by then you might look for your father only to find out he is no more.

Your mother have only succeeded in deceiving you people to be against your dad so as to hide what really broke her marriage up because she plots evil.

Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy. Proverbs 12:20

Any day you start promoting peace between your parents you will start having joy.
If you think you have grown to a man you should make peace for your parents now they are still breathing.

Assuming your mother isn't rich, you would have started running to your father

Don't compare Europe with Nigeria.... We are far far different.... The igbos will never recognise that guy as their son Or can he become an igwe since his mother belongs to the royal family....

Curse of the causeless shall not come to pass, it is in the Bible. Yes the holy book talks about Children obey your parents, honor they father and mother so your days may be long, but what people fail to understand is that God later said "Father DO NOT provoke your children to anger, bring them up in the way of the Lord. The Bible also said, ANY MAN that cannot provide for his family (morally, spiritually, financially, etc) is more than an what? Go figure... So again, this is a curse without a cause, and the holy book said IT SHALL NOT STAND neither WILL IT COME TO PASS.

This generation of indomie children, I weep!!. If your elder brother was 28 when he passed on (May his soul rest in peace) and you say the marriage separated almost 30 years ago, where and how old were you at that time? You judge your father based on your mother's side of story and not by what you saw!! May God forgive you!

Your mother agreed to marry a man with many wives and children from the beginning but left for reasons between she and her husband which apparently, you did not witness.

Chai!! May your children treat you the same way!!

just gonna say two things.
first of all those of you critcizing the boy for his statements should please keep quiet since you dnt know what has happened.the fact is, father or not, respect has to be earned and if his fater hasntdone anything to merit such respect, then i see no reason for complaint here. i respect my dad a great deal but not because he contributed to my birth but because he has contributed to my life and growth as a person in virtually every aspect. maybe its because i am not much of a traditionalist but i see no reason to respect an irresponsible man irrespective of any biological connections.
secondly for those critcizing the boy for making the matter public, you all should remember that his father actually started the whole thing by issuing a public statement even making allegations that the occurence of his son's death was hidden from him. not saying the boy was in the right for going public but please remember to include his father when looking for who to blame.

If you can shamelessly open your open and utter these words considering the pain they're going through, I can only ask God to have mercy on you. Before you type rubbish, please endeavor to read. As far as I'm concerned, a marriage that was divorced 30 years ago and the estranged father all of a sudden surfaced right now, deserves all the treatment he gets.

Buwa and I were the product of a short and abusive marriage that ended almost 30 years ago. To a man with many other wives and children. Stella Oduah is the only father, mother, carer and provider that my brother has ever known. The Oduah family is the only Family that he has ever been part of and Akili Ozizo in Anambra state is the only hometown he has ever had.

“I called Mr Satchie and the Etoromi family to inform them immediately my brother passed. I offered flights, accommodation and special care for him or the representatives of the family throughout the funeral. I offered to build a relationship and have a new start.

“I was happy and optimistic. But i was wrong. Instead of asking about his dead son, he proceeded to use my brothers passing as an excuse to shamelessly insult my mother just like he is doing now, issue death threats and even ask for dowry from almost 30 years ago.
it shows that you're raised by single mother
And you still young to know the truth

It's a pity many people here are using this as cover to attack a group just because Stella is from a particular region. The nonsense man and his family have been MIA for 30 years,30 GOOD YEARS! The son dies and the first thing he does is to come on media to make noise and stupid demand. If that's not attention-seeking,tell me what it is? In spite of all that, after how many years the other son tries to reach out only for the nonsense uncaring man to butt him off? The man can go to hell! Please bro, drop that useless man's name and move on,build a better family of your own and don't repeat your father's mistakes. Se finis!

She could have told them things about their father or they could have seen things themselves. There are terrible mothers out there and there are terrible fathers. I
won't be quick judge.

What bitter truth? Have you no sense of respect, culture and reverence for your parents? So even if the father is that unthinking, issuing a public condemnation is the right thing?

Seems the boy is the notice-me type and not the father.

Any ways, your cognitive abilities are alwsys a tad below average.

Over-sabi and you know nothing.

What you just saw is a classic case of a good mother but bad wife who allowed the children become publicly disrespectful to their father.

This is Africa and Eastern Nigeria, sooner or later he will appease traditionally for his foolishness.

Indomie generation... what right has he to talk his dad in that manner in the eyes of the public....? I bet U, this dude doesn't understand that we are Africans... And Africans are meant to respect their elders, talk more of their parents.
Has Stella got the right to bury the son her ex husband in another man's land without the full support of her former husbands family?
Am very sure Stella used her wealth to intimidate the man...
which informed the reason why the son has the boldness to come out in the open to wish he was a bastard...
One day, the truth shall come to light...
RIP TO THE DEAD....

Cut him some slack. The guy is grieved, having just lost his brother. It is very easy to condemn a person when you haven't walked in his shoes.

I'm not saying he is right in publicly vilifying his father but we need to understand he is bereaved so his emotions are on riot.

If the father did what that guy wrote, then he should be ashamed to call either his son. The man abandoned them and married other wives, now he wants to bury who he didn't raise. He even denied being aware of the guy's death. What else is that if not acute bitterness and outright mischief. Some men don't deserve to have sperm

Really?

How did the guy knew the parents were having issues if not the version as told by his mum. Remember the marriage was short-lived not like the were teenagers when it happened.

Do you even realize that the first thing a woman do after having issues with husband is to run away with children?
Do you know that some women will never allow you near their children except you reconcile with them?

Oga, the reason people fight custody of children is to avoid a situation like this cos the custodian will use the children against the other partner

Mr Satchie Etoromi is a deluded clown! You did not ask about the wellbeing of your Son while he was under their mother's care for over 25 years and now the young man is dead, you suddenly remember that he is your son and that he should be brought back to your place for interment! Some people really need koboko. The young man is right to call himself a bastard than have a fool like you as a father! Delta Men can be so pathetic!!

and parents (especially Nigerian mothers) should should not poison the minds of their children when they have issues with their spouses. I'm not saying that is what is happenning in this case but many Nigerian mothers are guilty of this. In the end it's the child you hurt, this is obviously a bleeped up kid.

The man may be a bad husband and father we don't know but what we know for sure is that Stella has proven herself to be a woman of questionable charact) er. a woman like that cannot raise good children

And most importantly, fathers should step up and stop being sperms donors. Even if you've divorced your wife, take care of your children, ask after them always, check up on them regularly, send upkeep money for feeding and school fees as they won't feed on stone or air.
Don't leave the raising of your children to only their mothers.

The boy is wrong to insult his father publicly. If his father is an attention seeker, it's the mum's business to respond. He knows they got divorce 30 years but may never know the reason behind the divorce. His father was abusive (though the father's version of the story is not available), were other ex-husbands of the mother abusive too. Issues between parents are best known by them. A wise child should have engineered reconciliation between the parents irrespective of who was right or wrong. In most Igbo communities, he will never be fully accepted as the son of the soil, except if her mother had no brothers hence representing the only male child.
If he hates his father so much for not being part of his life, he should have kept his cool, wait for the father's demise then return to his root or true home. The fathers Kinsmen will always welcome him. We are Africans.
