Don't let the new moniker fool you, you arrogant old man with false self-deception. I will embarrass you with facts!!
Only a sycophantic, unpatriotic and political goon will seek to justify Buhari's senseless statement like you just did. When he gave those electorial promises did he place any prerequisite on it? After nearly a year of failure, he's throwing political obfuscation to cover his failures!!!

America was known as the wide wide west even in her early ages. She was prosperous then.

Today America has the highest violent deaths, rape, crime and murder rate in the world , I didn't see her president asking Americans to change before he can deliver electorial promises. She's still a very productive and prosperous country. You're dull.

So much uncorrelated rubbish you typed up there. Our leaders don't obey traffic laws, they drive with noisy sirens, use the police to oppress the citizenry, launder and steal money abroad and disobey all civic rule in Nigeria but behave like civilise people when they travel abroad.

How can Buhari be asking of personal change when Naira is free falling, when the economy has yielded 2℅ recession, when food stuffs and commodities have gone unprecedentedly high?

You're a government person masquerading here to do damage control.
You just showed your shallow reasoning capacity with all you just typed. I honestly do not think you deserve any further response from me as you are clearly on a moral freefall yourself.

So you can't help me, that's what you are saying right?? That's just what the person you are standing with just said. If you are a changed fellow, why can't you extend the change to someone else's life??. that you eat a plate full three times a day without breaking a sweat doesn't mean everybody is same as you...good morals or bad, change or no change, rain falls on everybody and it comes from the top and not the bottom
True but you need to first check your life and way of living. You just may have squandered what you seek 5 times over in the past due to bad morals.

Its possible someone else has assisted you with what you need before and you wasted it. Change has to begin with you

"Nigerians must first change their own attitude before demanding to see the changes Buhari promised them". This is a threat and blackmailing of the general public

I feel so sorry for this country
So basically Nigerians want others to change but want to stay the same? Let every person change at the same time.

If you don't want to change yourselves then you don't deserve better leaders. Any person looking from the outside in on Nigeria can CLEARLY see that Nigerians are just as corrupt as their leaders.

I remember when the change mantra was all the rage people here really were kidding themselves that it would only be politicians (PDP) that Buhari would go for.......I remember saying clearly that if really he wants to rid Nigeria of corruption the average Nigerian must be made to change too...after all you outnumber those in politics by hundreds of millions.

Be ready to change or put up with what you have....simple.

Mrs aisha my beautiful girl(permit me). Are you comfortable and not ashamed at what your husband is doing, inconsistencies in his speech? You should be able to tell him you are ashamed at the way he his advised to talk for the world to hear. My president, with due respect to you sir, changes should start with you sir, then the poor mechanics, market women amongst others you mentioned will change. Sir, you have to start the change with you by accounting for the 28boxes as a millitary man. The hidden deals at PTDF which was not hidden, please sir account for all this for the change to start with you before the starving civil servants will change after their 6/12month salaries are paid. The starving poor masses will key to change when they stoping dying sir. Sir, let dogara, ameachi, tinubu, fashola and ministers, senators, governors past, present and others to return all they have stolen for general change start by all. Imagine our leaders celebrating TOTAL FAILURE. What a SHAME.

GMB, his family, friends and cronies are all saints and God-sent to save Naija from their corrupt ways, yet he and his crew don't have any modicum of idea to turn the country around. Fela said this - my people are useless, my people are senseless and corrupt.
He budgeted N500bn for his kitchen cabinet without any ministry or NASS oversight.
He increased presidency budget from N6.6tn in 2015 to N39bn in 2016
He allocated more funds to Aso Rock Clinic than all the federal teaching hospitals in Naija, but still travels abroad to treat common cold.
This is the most soulless president Naija has ever had

I may be hollow as you seem to think but I am hollow enough to see the truth and call it by name, I am hollow enough to stand on the side of true values and not all the vices you seem to love. I am hollow enough to have homes both in Nigeria and the united states and know the difference between both societies. I am hollow enough to know and recognise someone who is clearly frustrated at himself and is looking for who to blame....if anything life has taught me that change is the only thing that is constant but then so are choices we make! Make the right choices and move in the right direction but make the wrong choices and have them come back to haunt you.

Some of us work hard honestly and I advice you do the same and stop looking to stab those who would stand in the way of your vile way of living and choices.

Very true! Youths of today no longer think! For them its flashy cars and low morals at whatever cost even if it means they need to sell their very soul to get it. Imagine them willing to enrich people like Davido and whizkid and other unrewarding musicians with all their vain living and rubbish lives by rushing to their shows and buying up their cds all for the flashy life attraction but we refuse to think right and walk right.

Mark Zukerberg was in Nigeria the other day and he was never known to be a crazy profane and negative in living kind of person and today he is bigger and richer than all the music artists africa has to offer put together and instead of people looking inward and developing themselves positively we expect handouts all the time from Government and even expect the government to put us in line when we are supposed to know what is right and what is wrong by ourselves.
So market women want to be like davido right, lower level civil servants want to be like wizkid right?? Not every youth want to show affluence, what we are asking for is the environment to thrive and showcase our talents and abilities. Now dollars is high, exporters can't export. If the top is honest, there is no way we the citizen won't change. How can a hungry change, feed him up and he will change

He's right! Change is not just for the government to create, the citizens have to be willing to make it happen as well. Why is America the way it is today? The citizens are extremely patriotic towards every and anything concerning their nation.
The government will play its role but the citizens need to support the government. You will never hear of people bombing oil pipes or policemen killing someone because they didn't give them bribe or government officials encouraging extremely corrupt practice in other developed countries but in nigeria this is practically a norm. Even the average Nigerian young child has a corrupt mindset. How can we move forward with all this? We need to work hard towards making nigeria a better place and like our dear president said. The change is not just in government hands but in our hands too
America is the wrong country to use as a model,
support for government only occurs when their is
an external enemy to deal with. Americans remain
one of the most unruly citizens for any government
to deal with as they instinctively resent control.

Even immediately after their war of independence
most of their militias refused to join the regular army
or fight in other territories.

Their revolution-era presidents faced impossible situations but
they were intelligent enough to focus on solving their
problems rather than blaming the corrupt police(yes
they were very corrupt then), blaming gunmen/outlaws for
causing trouble or wasting preciouses resources on painting
their predecessors bad.

They focused on building resilient institutions that could stand the
test of time and paid little attention to building a one-man strong
government.

Those leaders shun cynicism and used every help they can
get.

To me only a clueless leader blames his/her citizen for not behaving
perfectly when it is common knowledge that humans aren't remote-controlled
robots.

Market women are meeting needs and I applaud them because they work hard. Do a census of youths willing to do an honest job vs those who are willing to do anything to get rich and you would be shocked.

We did not arrive at this moral rot today or even during buharis regime...it has been growing and taking root in us as a nation for years to the extent that hardly any job or business or individual is free from its acidic claws.

Its now time to make a conscious collective effort to do a u-turn and not further mess ourselves up.

Right now our law enforcement agencies and judiciary are so messed up that the FG is almost confused as to what to do. Can we erase the entire judiciary system? Or erase the entire law enforcement?

Yes the head needs to change but so does the body...both need each other in order to work effectively. The head does not carry the arms or legs and cannot be everywhere at once. The kind of change Nigeria needs is a change of the head and the body AT THE SAME TIME.

Even if the head changes and the body can confuse and dodge the law in order to achieve their vices they would still do it. No nation is free of vices but they all have average ratings but how would you rate Nigeria?

All these kids on Nairaland who claim to be the future leaders yet they cannot understand that for any change to be sustainable or even relevant then it must begin with you and me same way we had war against indiscipline those days. Buhari does not work in all the ministries or local governments ...its people like you and i who do and until we make an effort to eradicate personal vices in us from where we live to where we do business to where we work then we would only be going round in circles and will never experience any form of change no matter what the government offers us.

If Parents of today still encourage their kids to engage in prostitution as to them all money na money (according to my edo or warri brethren) or those who encourage their kids to move drugs or engage in 419 (according to my owerri and other eastern brethren) or those whose children openly engage in oil bunkering and vandalism (my niger delta peeps) or engage in ritualism and cultism (my south westerners) how then can change be truly change?

This is a credible and praiseworthy move by PMB as we all must work together in order to achieve the Nigerian dream and paradise we seek. True change is never easy and never comfortable to those who have been used to moving in an opposite direction but its high time we began to preach INTEGRITY! LOYALTY! HONESTY! and not see actions like people returning lost but found money or reporting criminals or correcting a wrong doer as stupidity...which is what we have today....This is why abroad even your neighbour can call the cops on you if they suspect fowl play from you as we all need to be accountable to one another first and this echoes the very quote of JOHN F KENNEDY, "ASK NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY!"

I STAND WITH PMB!!

Change is constant! I would rather fall based on a clear conscience than fall based on a vice!

You need 750k but have you been able to account for 50k? Bad morals isnt all about alcohol and women. Pride is also a vice and perhaps you could have grown yourself from 50k upward but there you are waiting for 750k all in the name of graduate. Education never makes a man.... choices do!

I am also a graduate but never gave myself the mentality of being a job seeker. I chose to be independent even with education... So entered the labour market aiming to be an employer of labour and not a seeker of jobs and today I am. Along the journey I had to farm, and drive a taxi here in Lagos all to raise the capital I needed and I did. The rest is history.

Change really begin with Buhari because you have left Daura to Aso rock and things have really changed for good for you but for us, it is from frying pan to fire.

Don't you worry, it is a matter of time at worst you will have us to contend with come 2019.
