Although condoms are an effective birth control method used by many, there are many women and men who prefer not to use them. If you are not interested in handling the issue of the birth and upbringing of a child, it is important that you take the time to familiarize yourself with the other options that you have for birth control.

nice topic.the government has much more to do than these u highlighted. But family planning? its no coincidence the poorest people have the most children.why? NO EDUCATION, IDLENESS AND CULTURAL BELIEFS. musa in sokoto does not even know what F.P is. How many even trust the govt to listen to dia policy? we have a belief system that children= wealth. The poor will sat, I dont have a house but im blessed with kids. the poor also hinging their fruitfulness on the probability of at least 1 child becoming very successful. the government should improve our Education system. give people SOUND KNOWLEDGE, not certificates.

There is. If we have a government that knows what it's doings, one that doesn't ply or give in to religious and tribal sentiment, then we're home free.

That's why we need to separate religion from the affairs of government.

You know, that's almost impossible, most people over here can't do things without religion and sentiments, sentiments especially (me inclusive)..

But I do hope someday we can attain that.
you're a jester to begin with. china is over a billion in population and has long enacted laws, through legislative fiat, to regulate birth control but she failed. and you think Nigeria who can't even keep accurate population figures can monitor and regulate birth control? sing me another song.

what spurs your belief Nigeria is having a population explosion to trigger government control? what we have is inequality of wealth distribution and unemployment. japan with no natural resources and tiny land mass is almost same population with Nigeria. Ethiopia which is over 80 million and has less than half of Nigeria's GDP and is still growing has not worried about population explosion yet......

you're an alarmist!

Over population is going to be not just Nigeria, but Africa's biggest problem ten years from now, with a predicted population of 4billion individual in a continent that still depend on aides from european countries. This is why deadly viruses are engineered in the lab, its actually to a red-pilled form of population control. Just like ebola (which failed badly). Most hidden billionaires are actually concerned about the state of our planet, compared to we africans. So things like overpopulation motivates them to take drastic steps toward population control (war isn't left out)

Now that's where the problem is. Learn to make decisions without attaching sentiment to it, believe me, it helps.

Well, i noticed the highest number of kids a rich and educated Nigerian is likely to have is 4 maximum, and 2 mininum, but for the rural illiterate dwellers is usually too high.
Solutions: condoms are not the best contraceptive measures and moreover most married couple wouldn't want to make use of it even when the need for it arise, government should make primary health care available in all Local government council, and they should be hyperactive, mass education on family planning by these primary health care, and there should be a law that will limit the number of kids a couple is likely to have with stiffer penalty if violated, China did one.

We are Giant of Africa in terms of population, maybe the government enjoys the fame, but it has adverse effect on the society: high rate of crimes, e.t.c
Is just not their priority area, when it is they will look into it.
