There was no problem passing through passport control in Cyprus. The biggest problem I faced was at the airport using Emirates from Abuja to Istanbul, I was flying at around 7pm on the 30th and the Emirates staff said by time I arrive my muhaceret would have expired..I had to beg the airport staff for more than an hour before they eventually let me board the plane and also had to sign something saying if I get sent back from Ercan all penalty fees that will be charged to Emirates would be payed by me..but when I arrived at Ercan they stamped my passport like I arrived 30 days before the muhaceret expired, no questions asked.

wow .. stamped your passport like you arrived 30days before your resident permit expired?? Your are a lucky person..Thank God .. in may friends case a Turkish Air did not let him fly..

yes you can pay the current equivalent of the 1,000 euro in dollar..

@godsong, wip7 and members at cyprus, please is it allow to tour round the European countries for pleasure and tourism(as a student) after securing the residential permit.

Please does anyone knows the best and reasonable means to receive funds in north cyprus from parents back home? i used my naira master to withdraw recently and regreted the charges.please anyone should help.....p

@Wip I've read all comments on this tread since November 13th 2009, it took me 3 weeks to finish everything . I must commend you, Godsong and the rest for keeping this tread active for 8 years, wow just wow! . I've never wanted to join Nairaland but this trend coerced and compelled me to, It's my turn to seek information concerning EMU and NEU TRNP. I applied since September 12th and it keeps saying under evaluation.
Concerning my NEU application, I submitted my credentials and application form via email so I wana ask how long it takes or evaluation also for Feb. 2017 intake.
