My brother, you have spoken well.

Many people assume that one has to first make it and grow old before settling down. But I disagree with such. A mind that is ready can get married and together with is wife can hustle. There will be challenges but within a couple of years they will get over it and become stabilised.

Beside, how old were our foreparents and some of our parents when they got married?

When I saw the thread, the first thing that popped on my mind was that "these guys won't be Nigerians"

Hardship has made most Nigerians not to believe you can do great and beautiful things at a younger age.

They most at times believe that you must be old and worn out before you can do certain things.

This is a wake up call to those old heads thinking that way.

I got married immediately after NYSC at 23 and it's been fun.. now 26 and and we have a girl and a boy. Maturity ain't about age but accumulation of experience. Just believe in God and be sure you truly love who you intend marrying.

I met a pensioner that was complaining about how they were being owed for months. He said he still has Children in Primary and Secondary school, and depended on his pension to pay their school fees. After listening to this Man, I came to the conclusion that indeed one needs to marry early so that what befell this man would not befall him. Imagine someone being in his late seventies and still having kids in Primary school shocked

...it doesn't make any sense, although maturity comes with age but its rather too early for the boy to get married. What work does he do? ( or the parent will that sponsor the wedding will continue to sponsor the marriage) How does he hope to maintain the marriage? How much does he know about marriage? How much does he know about love? Or the guy just wanted to satisfy his sexual urge. How much does he know about life not to talk about love?
Anyone can have a wedding( ceremony) but the marriage is an institution from which no one can graduated. I think they just got wedded. I know they won't be able to cope with the marriage, especially in the early stage.
Finally , why do we think divorce rate is very high in the developed world? A lot of single mothers ...step dad.. It's just because of early marriage things after a kid the boy will just discover that he needs to do exploit and from there carried away( distraction from outside). Just a personal opinion that's realistic.
