A lot of people think God runs the world. God?? Hell No. Who does? Satan? Nope. Satan influences humanity with his vices,etc but it was man that was given authority over the earth. Man runs the world. But I'll tell you what man does, man wants to eat his proverbial cake an still have it. Adam decided to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and what that implied was man made a statement that he was ready to live independent of God and bear the attendant responsibilities. Everything God has been doing from that time up till now has been purely redemptive. It did not end with Adam. Man today has decided to eat of the same tree as Adam. Not a bad thing really as life is all about choices. But guess who is to blame for the woes in the world? Man? No. God. Why? Because He's got all the power to make it all right. Yes He does but He asked you, can you allow me run the world but we refused. Yes we chose to do it ourselves and now we have the world in a mess.

If God runs the events in the world today, He wouldnt ask us to pray 'Father let Your will be done on earth as it is done in heaven'.

God's will is being done in heaven but it's not so here on earth. I know people have been taught that God runs the world and is responsible for everything that happens in the world but there's nothing farther from the truth than this notion.

So you see how man (humanity) would like to eat his cake by choosing to live independent of God and His ways and still wants to have his cake by not being responsible for the ills in the world.

I still insist that there's something OP didn't tell us. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say he wanted to do certain stuff and still not feel guilty of his acts and so had to douse every voice of guilt by immersing himself into books and materials that emboldened his belief that there is no God. To claim that it was due to his inability to give sight to a needy old man and unanswered question is akin to given me some tales by moonlight stories and expect us to digest it just like that which would never happen.

You see power in the spirit is like weightlifting. There are some things you can do and there are higher things you build yourself to be able to deal with in the spirit. The power that God would demonstrate of your behalf is the one you have built/the one that works in you. It's a partnership between man and the divine. No shortcuts. God is able to do exceeding, abundantly above what we ask or think according to the power that works in you.

I was watching TV one day and I saw John Edwards show on air. This man could communicate with the dead.
It was really amazing! And he was not doing it for the glory of God. He was a celebrity. He claims it is a gift.
This man could accurately reveal hidden things about people.
I said to myself this man is just using demonic powers to fool people (NOTE: this is how we christians always jump into conclusion, everything most have a spiritual explanation)

Some months later I saw a CIA documentary on Discovery Channel on how the CIA were paying Doctors and researchers on how to brain wash, hypnotise and control peoples minds.
The documentary was really shocking!

So it was possible scientifically to control peoples mind? Wow!!!

I started doing more reseach into hypnotism. I had always thought it was only possible spiritually using demons and demonic techniques and that all hypnotists where agents of the devil. But I began to realize using drugs such as LSD could help in mind control through pure scientific means.

What impact did this have on me?
I began to wonder if all I thought was spiritual were just me doing things that were scientific unconsciously.

My own case was different, however. I was a Muslim but with way more exposure to Christianity than Islam. Since my primary school days, I've voraciously consumed the bible and an impressively vast array of Christian publications, tracts, books and magazines.

It helped me poke holes in Christianity while deluding me into believing in the perfection of my Islam that I knew considerably less about.

Needless to say, when I started to know more about Islam, it all unraveled like the seams of a poor man's shorts.

Are you smiling? I have known him to be a con job but have just been observing from the sidelines because God has a way of enabling people to expose themselves with their own hands.

He claimed to be a Super pastor and extremely popular in his alleged Pastoral days and planted lots of churches and got over 300 converts etc But wait...300 people can only fit into a small hall so how did he arrive at ranking himself so highly?

Meanwhile since he was so popular and even mentioned the school he graduated from how come he could not mention his name. There are people here who also graduated from the same school same time as he did who would have known him but he cannot mention his name especially since his whole story is a lie.

He even mentioned a certain believer who died of complications from fasting and a nairalander who also graduated in 2010 from the same school called him out asking for the name of the person who died since he was also from there but he never answered that question.

The guy is a fraud and a good story writer and if you check his threads here on NL you will see the stories e has concocted which he initially passed around as truth but later opened up that it was all lies. However if he had not said they were lies you would have believed them as truth.
