ok thats good . but fbnh may pay #1 dividend with bonus shares . for example if you buy fbnh now at #3.42 and it get to #5+ in two weeks or a month the profit there is more than what uba and ucap will pay you as dividend if you sell @5+, the two stocks dividend can't get to #1 .
If you listened to FBNH conference call you would have known that they will not pay more than 20kobo dividend. They said their banking arm will continue to retain there profit, meaning that dividends would only come from insurance and other minor businesses.

forget about that . As oil is going up now, if oando pay up and they use the money for other business and make more profit . Keep this post well FBNH will pay more than #0.20kobo .

So you think oando will just pay everything at once even if they have the money? My broda the loan is structured they will only pay the part that is due, depending on whether their arrangement is for monthly or quarterly or even yearly payments. Mind you oando has many projects and capital issues to deal with.
FBNH has bigger debtors than even the oando. Atlantic oil and AITEO are their major debtors and reason for high NPL.

Loss aversion bias

''The loss aversion bias psychologically forces many investors in the panic-stricken stage to sell just when they should be buying. Studies have shown that investors feel losses about two and one half times as much as they do gains. In other words, if you have two stocks, one a 20% loss and the other a 20% gain, the 20% loss will feel like 50% loss compared to the 20% gain stock. ''

remember this :

''The narrative fallacy addresses our limited ability to look at sequences of facts without weaving an explanation into them, or, equivalently, forcing a logical link, an arrow of relationship upon them. Explanations bind facts together. They make them all the more easily remembered; they help them make more sense. Where this propensity can go wrong is when it increases our impression of understanding.''

Sorry, but I'm not too sure why you're making this quote on Mpeace's explanation which to me is completely on point. He nailed it in my opinion.

i avoid price fixation, i simply ff sentiments

my thots
- FBN has been on a bearish path for years
- it enjoyed a rally prior to 2013 high when it crossed N20
- since then , its been on a bearish move , making lower highs & lows
- the death cross happened ard August 2013 (50ema crossed below 200ema)
- the SP has been testing the 50ema line but not finding enuf support and failing
- this happned in May and June when the price tested N4.50 levels , each time the sellers came in massively
- it test N3 and march and found good support but failed at N4.50
- then in August it came back to that support and for weeks buyers kept resurfacing ard that region confirming further support (BUY area)
- ffwd to dec , SP for the first time in months is testing N3.50 , breaking above 50ema and tending towards 200ema which is good for long term buyers. (this is the low they shud hav waited for)
- before N6.00 , the real test is ard N4.50
note that many are carrying losses and they just wish to stop d portfolio bleeding, so expect a lot of emotional resistance ard that point, IF the SP can break through N4.50 , the next stop is N7.00 for another test.
