Before I started driving to work, I'd wake up by 5am, leave the house by 6am, get to Kilo bus stop to enter a bus to CMS. I work on the Island. I'd be there for AT LEAST 20 minutes, waiting for it to get filled up. With the traffic, and the chance of the bus breaking down, I'd get to the office some minutes to 8am. 2 hours on the road! Don't forget the fat people that you'd be unfortunate to sit beside. Or the ones that are allergic to water, soaps, deodorants, and perfumes. And I hate people toucing me, so I would always make sure I sit in front with the driver. If there are 2 seats, I'd pay for 2. I decided, enough of this crap, and started driving to work. I've never been more relieved. Now, I leave my house by 7:15, and get to work before 8am. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Lagos ppl just full here anyhow , well I can relate, cos I ran away from Lagos just cos it's too rough and crazy. Yes there is more life and I would have made more money, but alubarika ni koko. Would rather have a simple life than be perpetually stressed. 2 Likes 1 Share |

MsDelilah:The stress of public transport can kill in Lagos, you won't get the bus in time, you'll meet a lot of crazy people at the bus park. Geez. I will have a rough day at work, so, I'd better drive down calmly. 3 Likes |

iyisco2001: My dear, you are right. The stress I go through at work alone, is so much in one day. Then I have to deal with commuters. Ha! When I started losing weight, omo I had to reevaluate my life ô. I didn't come to this world to die like that bikonu. I take my time, leave the house when I want, drive how I want, only me in the car. No stress allowed. |

Not really. I can speak for Ibadan. That place is amazing. Home to work in less than 30 minutes. Easy pace of.life. Traffic jams that last no more than 15 minutes, and if you're not mobile, you can either charter a taxi for 1k-1.5k an hour, or take a bike to anywhere. Cheaper cost of living... Bottom line, IB has less stress and more ease. I don't think I've met a lag transplant in IB who wanted to go back to Lag, particularly when they have a good job. IB may not be on the same level as lag, but you sure will have your fun. And if you get too bored, which shouldn't happen seeing as there are quite a few attractions, you can easily drive to lag, hang for a few days, and head back to IB when you need your sanity back. Just completed a training on the Island and because of the stress of traffic I had to scot with a friend. The last time I was shuttling Ojo Barracks to VI, my eye saw the younger brother of Hell. I believ when the 10 lane road from Orile to Iyana Iba is complete, the situation would get better. 2 Likes |

MsDelilah:People trek no be lie, I had done it once myself before. It spits fire in PH and Abuja, this I know for now, Ibadan and Akure is still a city I'll love to relocate to if I have the chance. Just that, Lagos is fun. The curse in traffic alone with your co mad drivers. Souljaboi1: Younger brother of hell, A former colleague of mine who lives around your area takes bike to and fro. I use to do that 5am too before, when I never knoew the road will be free by 7am, my eyes will go sore, I'll be feeling sick throughout the day. But the day I decided I will leave home late, I discovered, leaving 5am don't matter, I won't myself extra one hour sleep, one hour reading or browsing. I could think of productive programs also. |

Stay in Okota. Work in Ikoyi Wake by 5:55. Leave house by 6:40 (if I want to be early o). Resumption time is sha 9am. Enter keke to Cele - bus to Oshodi isale - BRT (standing) to Obalende (to save cost and time) - bus from Obal to Osborne. (Total transport - 250) Or, leave house by past 7. Get to Oshodi and enter Eko Hotel VI bus @250. (Total transport - 350) Coming back>>> I stay in office till 7:30pm just to avoid traffic on 3MB and Okota road. Stand in front of Osborne estate gate waiting for bus or privy car that will carry me (150) to Oshodi - Oshodi to Cele - Cele to Ago. (Time: past 9pm) #Life in Ekò |

wake up by 6am,get to the road 7am,hold up is sure so no motor. you have to join the patience cue with the over 300people that have been waiting for only God knows how long..getting a vehicle you have to be smart, fast and very strong [its not like a war zone,Its a war-zone!] to push people away when the struggle starts for a single space in a private car going to AREA 1.its survival of the fittest so most-times you dont even need to know where the car is going just use gra gra and enter b4 you start asking oga where you dey go? 9:15am. finally get a vehicle, its an old golf 2 with 3other passengers behind and two are Fat!you have to suck your self in before you fit..it's all good tho i finally got a car to town i just have to sit in that position for like 1hr30min-2hrs if the hold up is light(sharp-corner 2 area 1,normally is an under 15min drive) 10:50 am in town with rumpled clothes if not torn, dusty shoes and sweating all over..angry,tired and frustrated and one idiot will still refuse to pay me. 11am voila am at the office and am early! my younger bro gets to to work 1pm sometimes. Going back home lolz...that story is for someother day. 1 Like |
