Seeing that it's over for me when it Comes to getting down , she got dressed as I got dressed too and we left the room. she was silent till we got back to our hostel area. she did not say a word, neither did she reply when I tried to talk to her.

I was really ashamed of myself, the shame was doubled about 3 or 4 days later when mercy came to my room the next evening, she had just left David's room and came to check on me.

As I walked her she said
mercy:" anti, why did you treat toke like that na"

me: " how, I don't understand"

mercy: " you slept with her and then you abandoned her, you fulfilled all her fears"

She went on to tell me how toke confided in her that night, telling her that I released inside her, that she is afraid she might get pregnant. mercy and toke had to take cab out of the school premises , searching for chemist to buy drugs that will prevent her from getting pregnant, and to make matters worse, I've avoided her for days, " you done chop come clean mouth" she said finally.

One thing I'm glad that toke did not reveal is that I lasted less than two minutes, she later told me she did not tell mercy that part, it was even fear of pregnancy that forced her to tell mercy we had s*X in the first place. It was the same fear that pushed her unsatiated agro to the background, she told me she felt uneasy throughout the night with a need and heaviness at the lower part of her stomach, but she was really afraid, afraid of getting pregnant , afraid the drug might cause problems.

I decided I had to see her , mercy helped in locating her, she initially did not want to talk to me, but when she saw how crestfallen I am, she agreed to sit and talk.

I apologised many times, telling her how stupid I've been and what I did wrong, what she thought was deliberate avoidance by me was actually me being too ashamed to see her. I promised her it wunt happen again and I will take more care not to make the mistake we make the first time. " don't worry , I wunt dissappoint you next time" I said after she had accepted my apology and warmed up to me.

me: " haba, it was a mistake na , next time you will even be begging me to stop"

toke: (coming closer and looking me in the eye)" it's person that can start that will be able to stop, you can't stop what you have not started."

I understand her statement even though i felt embarassed, so I said
me : " don't worry, we will see"

For days after , I kept seeing her every day, we were Into the middle of the next week when I tried to talk her into us making love again. Ive discovered that unlike other girls, she likes to know about such arrangements, she will partipate fully once she knows whats on ground(an attitude that helped later). She agreed one evening, but I had to shift it to the next day so that I can make arrangement for venue.

The next afternoon, I saw toke in class, we agreed that I should come to her room first by 7pm. Before going to my hostel I went to meet manager to book space, "everything is arranged " I said to myself.

5pm, me and ade left the school for one paraga joint in a town near the school, I do not know the place, hence I needed to follow ade.

Ade ordered for jedi, opa eyin, afato, monkey tail ,ale, soja root, and a host of other concoctions I cannot remember. since its too early to start drinking it their , the woman selling poured it into white nylon bags, he now took me to another street to meet an hausa man , who after hearing the same story I gave ade gave me a sachet of powder, told me to mix it with 7up and drink it 30 minutes before action starts.

we took it all back to the hostel, I payed for both transport, concoctions and mixture anyway.

6.30 pm, I figured it will take some time for the things i brought to work , I calculate that by the time we get to the staff quaters , it will be around 7.30pm, I had booked for 8 to 10 pm, so I decided to wait till 7 pm.

7 pm on the dot , I drank some of the contortions and powder mixture, reason was that I was sceptical about the hausa man's drug, so to be on the safer side, I'll take over half of each one. So after drinking the concoctions, I drank the powder mixture with the the 7up I had bought downstairs.

I brushed my teeth, bought 10 naira groundnut and tom tom, to clear away any taste or smell(don't want toke discoverING I've taken anything) then headed for toke's room.

I got to toke's room, I did not see her in the room, "she no dey o" said one of her roomates , " where she go" I asked . "she done go house", the roomate responded. "house!" , I shouted, the roomate replied me "yes house, her mama call am , tell her say her papa dey seriously sick , she and mercy done go her house"

As I left the room, the warning of the hausa man came to my head "ip u no go nack today , no use am o!"
