However, on checking his visa status online. it says "Your application was refused. Please see the letter or other instructions you received at the interview" There is no letter or any link pasted with any instructions. Anyone has an idea of who has experienced something similar before because we find it very strange?

It is rare to find any graduate program in Economics admit for Spring because of their structured coursework.

possibly a discrepancy was spotted however its only the embassy that can explain what happens and this will be on a personal advisory level or re interviewed or Futher review on AP. ........ so He needs to contact the embassy directly on customer service no.

I once got an offer from WVU. The funding was not too great but it is sufficient. Then it was $13,500 per year and you get to pay just about $1,600 in fees. Accommodation in Morgantown is fair too.

Well......great GPA. head to WES and use their calculator to get your GPA equivalent in the 4 point scale
but i guess it should be like 3.5/4.00 or higher.
Please work on your GRE and TOEFL
that's your last hurdle.
once that is done you can start requesting for schools!

I have a B.Sc in Geology (second class upper division) but the issue at hand is..that i am considering changing my career path to Information Technology (Or any IT related course). Here are the problems i'm having in making my final decision:

1)Since i wont be able to apply for a masters degree programme, How best do you think i should apply? ( as a transfer student or as a freshman)

2) we all know the current economic hardship going on in Nigeria, Can anyone suggest an affordable college, institute or university not more than $10,000 for undergraduate?

your real issue is with convincing the VO of why you want to change from geology to IT
however to make things easier, Apply for Msc geology and Msc IT
use Msc Geology to get admission then change school when you arrive.
or seek a school that permits you to change from geology to IT in the same school
that's what you should research on.
you case has been dealt with here.
