Thank you all for all the wonderful contribution that assisted me in packaging my visa application.

I applied last year July but visa was denied because I added retail deposit from my business to my monthly salary without proper explanation. I have a fixed salary that goes to my personal account on a monthly basis.

On Dec. 13th 2016, I re-applied again and my application was delayed for over 6weeks despite all the supporting documents i listed in my earlier post except the Nil tax clearance i obtained at the FIRS with payment of N20,000 (POL) which was stated on the receipt. I stated in my additional note that my business is yet to commence full business operation which was the reason why I was issued a Nil tax clearance.

A mail was sent to me in January that my application has not been straightforward.

My 6months visa was granted today after 7weeks that i submitted my application, despite I cancelled my hotel reservation after 4weeks to prevent been debited by the hotel.

I thank God and really appreciate every bit of the contribution on this forum.

My advice to all future applicants is to submit genuine document to prevent been banned.

Thank you

Congratulations! and thank you for coming back to update the forum.

Hi guys... I want to know if an official letterheaded statement of result and official transcript is enough to show proof of degree for a tier 4 general student visa?

Yes if that is what you used in getting the admission and stated in your CAS..else no

Ok. Thanks. I have several conditional offers and one school told me to verify whether I can get visa from Nigeria with it before they waive the certificate requirement.

Not at all, you can state that and add a note in your form to say that she became a British citizen after your last application.

She doesn't need to provide any document regarding her brief stay in the UK.
Thanks @Justwise. I appreciate.

All the best bro, you have a good immigration record so keep things clean and simple as it will help your case when you and your wife decided to go for spouse visa in future.

Honestly i don't think that the school know what they are talking about. There is no way you will know that without them accepting your admission application then add the document in your CAS

Hello House I'm happy to be a part of this thread.

I intend visiting the UK in July 2017 , and my brother who is married and has a red passport is willing to sponsor my trip to the UK, he wants to apply for the visa from the UK with his documents so I can back it up with my statement of account, and other relevant documents but I have some challenges

1. I just started working in a real estate firm early tlthis month and my monthly salary is N50,000 though sometimes may earn more based on commision.

what are my chances of getting a visiting visa to the UK?

what is the minimum amount required in my account ?

How will he do that? He applies from the UK then send you his documents to add to yours for you to submit physically in Nigeria? Or are you going to send him your documents to submit in the UK?

Where is your final destination ?

Thanks for your response.

First Cancun Mexico where I am spending just two days and then Belize where I will stay a few weeks. In other words I am going on a tourist visa to Mexico and then further on to Belize but since there are no direct flights from Nigeria I intend transiting through the UK to Mexico.

Also, does the UK High commission allow people choose their appointment date or is one assigned an appointment date? Is one able to see online the soonest appointment date available? I don't want an appointment date assigned to me in June or July when I intend traveling in April or May.

If you are spending less than 24hrs at any UK airport and not leaving the airport then you don't need a transit visa

Really? Are you sure? because I don't want to be embarrassed at any airport abroad. I am traveling with a Nigerian passport by the way.

yes he applies from the UK and sends me his documents to add to mine so I can physically submit here in nigeria.

I'm pretty sure of that but don't take my word for it still go ahead and apply for transit visa so as to settle your mind.

Submit your copy of your Mexican visa, proof of accommodation both in Mexico and Belize and flight ticket

Nobody can truthfully tell you your chances of getting a visa not even the ECO can until you make your application.

There is nothing like minimum or maximum amount to have in an account, it all boils down to your monthly salary and how much the trip will cost you.

If your brother will be paying for everything and nothing will be coming from you then the ECO will consider your tie to Nigeria, basically if you have anything in Nigeria strong enough to stop you from staying back in the UK if given a visa

Will do. Thank you. However, is it wise to purchase my flight ticket when I am not sure of what the outcome of the transit visa application is going to be? Don't want to loose money.

i do not think you can REQUEST a waiver for the ban. wait till 2019 to apply again. But let me tell you that you will need a lawyer while making a new application in 2019, if not your application will be rejected because of your bad immigration history.

1. You can apply for 6months or 2yrs visa its entirely upto you.

2. Is the seminar related to your current job?

3. What is your monthly take-home salary?

Yes

People should understand that when a ban to UK or USA expires
the slate is NOT wiped clean.
The records are on computer forever and will always be considered along with any future application.

1.The application you made in the UK using human right act really damaged your reputation with ukba.

2. Your recent application was over budgeted and above your income

Thanks @justwise, I reapplied immediately and was issued 6months . I have traveled twice already .

many thanks to for your insightful contributions.

If you applied for 6months visa you will be issued 6months visa and nothing above it.

There are 6months, 2yrs, 5yrs and 10yrs visa categories.

If you are not a student, the seminar not related to your current job and your company not sponsoring the trip then the task you have now is to convince the ECO why this seminar is important to you.

Your salary rang is good and if the trip takes 2months worth of your salary then financial wise you are good to go.
