So as big and wide as this forum is, nobody know what Binary Options trading is? or are people just choosing to ignore?

What is a binary option?

Thanks, my brother. I had someone advertising it to me on twitter, a firm actually. I was thinking someone on here must be doing it too at least.

Thanks nonetheless

Hello, guys! I am new to trading and just found this nice thread here. I would like to ask you about some aspects of trading here. How did you learn to trade? I have found a nice academy for it at https://alpha7trading.com/, and I want to try it out soon. What do you think about it? Is it worth it?

Do you tink UCAP will deliver this year as it did 2016?

big question !

- down -22% this week , tnx to mark down & profit taking off the tops before closure, SP dropped below 50dma
- however the 50 dma is still above the 200 dma , so the long term trend is still up
- winning stocks keep winning , so we watch for re -entry at support

It is good to learn how to trade before jumping into it. I started by reading some good books, reading stuff on internet & attending seminars... after these, the real learning begins when you actually put your money at trading (risk). This forum also provide excellent learning; start reading excellent contributions from participants like:- stockbull, Born2beRich1, duni04, locodemy, fxuser, DeRuggedProf, Intendy and others I cannot mention due to limited time.

You can begin by reading this free basics on the Internet: http://www.investopedia.com/university/stocks/

closures , markdowns , price deviation
- prices reflect market consensus
- after a sudden wide deviation from trend after price mark downs. prices will find its way to d general consensus
- i will prefer to go long , there is a reasonable probability prices will find its way to the prev mood.
- fundamentalists will be watching PE's and Q1, I would prefer to bet on their sentiment
- will gladly put a 5% stop loss

BUY RECOMMENDATION - ZENITH BANK

CSL RESEARCH | Zenith Bank FY 2016

Zenith Bank (Zenith) opened the FY 2016 earnings season for the banks with solid numbers.

Net profits up 23% y/y (3% ahead of our forecast)
Final dividend of N1.77/s (dividend yield: 11.9%) proposed. This brings total dividend to N2.02/s with a yield of 13.7%, in line with our expectations.
Current price is N13.90; 44% lower than our target price of N20.10

Net Interest Income was up 7% y/y on account of 10.4% growth in Interest Income. Net Fee and Commission Income remained resilient, up 12% y/y, with a significant 42% growth q/q booked in Q4 on account of increased in credit related fees (+116% q/q) and fees on electronic products (+593% q/q). We view the banks ability to growth its Fee income positively.

Other income was up 135% y/y on account of significant revaluation gains. Profits were elevated on account of the significant boost by foreign currency revaluation gains booked in Q3. We note that this income line did not grow in the last quarter as interbank rates trended around Q3 levels. The bank has a long net open position (although appears lower than 9M levels) to buffer the effect of an expansion in risk assets by booking revaluation gains, and with a capital adequacy of c.22% the bank has an adequate capital buffer.

Asset Quality remained stable. Cost of risk (CoR) of 1.5%, although higher than the 0.8% posted in 2015, remains moderate in our view and was in line with our expectation. We maintain that we do not expect a deviation from the strong asset quality in the near term. The risk to Zeniths earnings in our view, is its exposure to some local Oil & Gas companies, especially its US$241m exposure to Seplat. We have factored in a sli ghtly higher CoR of 2.0% for the bank in 2017e to take into account this exposure.

Operating Expenses increased 4% y/y due to a moderation in Q4. The banks Cost to Income ratio (ex-provisions) improved to 48.0% for FY 2016 due to a much higher growth in total operating income.

Overall, we view the banks growth in Net Interest Income and Fee and Commission Income positively. We see these as sustainable streams of income.

Pre-tax Profits were up 36% y/y, while Net Profits were up 23% y/y. The banks ROAE comes to 20.0% relative to 18.4% 2015.

We have a Buy recommendation on Zenith and a price target of N20.11/s (current price: N13.90s). The bank, in our view, rates well on the basis of cost efficiency, sustainable long-term dividend yield, and stable asset quality compared to other banks

As surprise unfold, Zenith bank share may hit #18 this week before closure and might sustain the ride after closure as the bank usually do.
The sell off we witnessed last week, seen to me as a strategy for institutional investors to get enough money ready to push the price above #20 next week and they usually partake in dividend.

As for me, I have balance well waiting to see #20 junction next week / upper week.

Someone once told me that the stock market depicts how healthy a country economy is! The charts below speak for themselves regarding the economic situation of the countries indicated. Uptrending economies attract investments & creates wealth for the well informed while downtrending scares away investors & the not-well-informed (dump) investors loose their savings while the well-informed (smart) investors know in every downtrend, there are plenty of opportunities to make money from the dump investors.

Secret: In every downtrend (bear market), there is an uptrend (bull market) & in every uptrend, downtrending also shows up. TIMING IS THE KEY!!!

Whatever the economy situation, just know that you have plethora of opportunities to make money. Don't follow dump investors, rather the smart ones. Know the right time...

with the bar raised in the TB market , some of the smaller players would find their way back to NSE lets hope it would be significant enough to create some bull runs in some stocks

Stock Market is dead.

Going the memory lane... Between 2008 & 2012, "NSE was dead", but what happened after that? It bounces back; though not as high as what we had prior to 2008. Given people lost money & all that stuff, but the market bell continues to ring every single working day.

In every market, there are periods when bear takes control due to whatever reason (bad govt policies, war, international events, crude oil prices etc) and the other time the bull takes over. It happens all over the world & Nigeria is not exclusive.

Quote me today, with a good govt economy policy, Nigeria will witness a bull market never experienced before in the history of NSE.
Why did I say that? It is clearly written on the chart below. Smart-money is just hovering around to collect the dump-monies.

Let me know as soon as you want to dump your (good) stocks; I am ready to buy them from you at a bargain.
