please stop. Radiations from the phone could trigger explosion. It has happened many times. A one time neighbor of mine got badly burnt sometimes ago in filling station cos someone was making a phone call close to the pump machine. Get a proper torch light to use when filling your generator.

The op wasn't there at the time of the incident to I don't think the phone torch was the cause..

Why are people talking funny! Phones are dangerous clothes to fuel. In filling stations, you put the off engine when buying fuel, no phones allowed. All to avoid an explosion. It's because it hasnt happened to someone you know. Always do what is right. Use rechargeable lamp. Simple!
