Thanks, thanks, thanks .will I also need to submit statement of acct .
No need for that since you got funding from UEF. The funding i guess is more than 6720 euros. So when filling the form at www.migri.fi you will see a tab for source of funding. Click on the radio button for scholarship. Scan d scholarship letter. That should do

Good to see some activity here.

Congrats to larrygal and co as you move to Finland.

Wish you guys the best.

@larrygal... just make sure your account isn't empty. A few hundred thousands will suffice. Like you said having at least 575 euros won't be a bad idea.

Your thoughts are good. Iceberg made justice to your guess. Try to present your statement but on the migri portal, your main sponsor is the scholarship from UEF

your friend is lucky to be among the 5% offered full scholarship. The 560 will be enough and from LUT, they didnt mention dat benefactors wont work but they insisted that benefactors will meet up with 55 credit units per semester
Thanks so much. He was offered MSc admission.

As a student, a prudent individual can make do with just €300-350 monthly (depending on lifestyle, of course). If you are on scholarship, you need to properly review the scholarship terms to see if you have the right to work, and to what limit if allowed...
Thank you for your kind response. He's actually not planning to work, we are just concerned about how he can add additional income to his monthly stipend as stated on his scholarship. But if 560euros will be enough for feeding and accommodation, he won't need to work.

Tell your friend to visit the Finland embassy website in Nigeria and I will advice he follows the online route at migri portal. Follow the instructions there and mark the radio button to scholarship in the sponsor section. Also as for the health insurance let in visit any Aiico or mutal benefit office but I advice he follows Aiico cos of bad experience peeps had with mutual benefit.

The tread is majorly for Masters but u can visit the studyinfo portal for more details but I doubt he will meet up cos from observation Finland admits once a year for intl students. Undergraduate courses are taught in finnish, i stand to be corrected. Also undergraduate courses do take entrance exam in kenya so u have to move their

Application for undergraduate has closed since January, you gotta wait for next application. The sponsor will transfer 8k euros to your friend's account after he has been admitted, mind you he would visit Kenya for entrance exam.

yes ,but the expenses will be determined by the country he wishes to study. Estonia expenses will be high cos he needs to travel to India for visa, but there is an issue of Estonia planning to open an embassy in Nigeria to help students. So let's keep our finger's crossed,if that happens then the 400k will do .
