Thanks alot i really appreciate this response i have always had the thought that a year program will always give you ample time to settle and really sort for jobs hence getting PR but do you know anyone who has gotten admission with a study gap of over 10yrs ?

This written assurance from CBN does it necessarily have to be addressed to the Canadian high commission and does it have to be specific? Cause I have their press release and their circular which I want to submit alongside written specific and addressed letter from my bank

i graduated from production engineering ,and i applied for masters in mechanical engineering in university of Ottawa,i just got an email from them that my application was refused , i graduated with a second class lower (2.5), Please which other university can i apply to that i will get admission to .

@ tommee, I got admission with a study gap of about eight years. All you have to do is, show what you have been doing during those years. If its work, attach your offer letter to the application. Just prepare a good application. You will be admitted. Also choose a program related to what you are currently doing.

I doubt so much CBN will issue a letter to an individual. So just attach the circular as it is.

Personally, i feel that circular from CBN does not completely address the embassy's concerns. It will only help to understand the measures taken by the apex bank to make forex available for tuition and other invisible transactions.(They probably would have seen that circular since they are aware of the new forex policy).

From that email from the embassy, the written assurances has to be specific about the applicant's possibility of transferring the funds to canada. This is where the applicant's bank will come in and clear the doubts with assurances and vehemence.

That circular from CBN should be helpful but the commercial bank letter assuring the embassy of transfering funds will most appropraitely address this growing concern. I strongly believe so.

Hi, please how long did carleton take to process your admission?
it's been over 3 months I submitted my MAsc application now with all documents complete and they're still reviewing, I even sent them a mail and they're saying same thing.

I will answer from my experience, when I deferred my admission 2 years ago I just told them I will like to defer due to some unforseen circumstance (family issue) and it was granted .

@Austinpee4, don't you think it would be a plus to present a new SOA with funds still intact as at the time of application? This can further prove that the funds were not fixed solely for the purpose of application.
