if you only knew the importance of ojodu berger. This area is a transport hub that connects people in a short time you to many places within lagos...its in a very strategic location. I grew up in that area and traffic was hell? There were countless loss of life on that part of lagos/ibadan express way. What has FG done on that expressway to prevent traffic accidents. Do you not pay federal tax too?

Like seriously, you comparing politics/developments in an advanced country to that practiced in Nigeria? You know the difference is like day and night.
In Nigeria, there are many governors that dont give a fuuuck, so if there is one or there are two that gives a fuuuuck. abeg let us commend him or them before he stops giving a fuuuuck too.

Can you kindly tell us the governor of your state of origin? it would be nice to know if he is one of the useless ones or not in the country
Help me tell them. If ur child do something great, hail him in other to do more, not to compare him with Obama or Queen's kids. If you are not well please with Ambode achievement please kindly let's us borrow him for a term in Wawa, Arepo, Magboro, Mowe, Ibafo, Alagbole, Akute and environment and we we you Oni fila gogoro for a term. Them you ( that complain) will value government.

You're sad.

Oildichotomy:
It is quite surprising how somebody who supposedly live outside the country judging from his comment is posting pictures about developments in Nigeria.

A governor constructed a layby a pedestrian bridge and some some adjoining roads within the vicinity and we won't hear word like he was voted in to do otherwise.

Personally, I don't celebrate a Nigerian politician for doing his job. We are so used to mediocrity that when we see something new we jump up like he is doing anybody a favour. And the best any buttlicker will say is, we should celebrate them to do more, like WTF, I pay my f**king taxes to Lagos State govt monthly and he should use it for developments as expected Why the Fuss!!

I've passed this level please, maybe it is just me!!

Also...we commend our politicians in developed countries too and we shame the ones not doing well.

We still thank them even if the project is a pedestrian bridge or bicycle lane. lol...The comments below from facebook proofs it. They are thanking Brad Wall..the premier (governor) of a province in Canada for building an overhead bridge...This has nothing to do with mediocrity.

You are guys need to get out of this mentality of LOW EXPECTATIONS from those you elected!
Your thinking is what makes these Politicians think the are doing you a BIG FAVOR by building a Pedestrian Bridge on a major Highway!

That some Governors are useless, as in completely USELESS, is because those that elected them, have this same mentality and all they demand from them (and glorify them for..), is building Four Primary School Classrooms in Four Years!
When you "HAIL them for doing "SOMETHING PEDESTRIAN", you make them feel they have done SOMETHING GARGANTUAN! undecided undecided

We elect Politicians/leaders to SERVE US!

So, one Pedestrian Bridge over a Motor Way ...in TWELVE YEARS or More, is NOT WORTHY of Commendation.

Using Fashola as a yardstick, to Judge Ambode is a disservice to Public Service!
Ambode, (to me and up to this point) is a MISFIT.

Seriously, if just 20% of Nigerians reason the way we do, these Politicians will think twice before vying for Political office.

But hey, "we" are used to mediocrity...and we celebrate it like we won the Olympic Gold in development.
To be candid, unless most Nigerians get a proper re-orientation, we cant blame them for this type of mentality.

In some places, a Child takes being fed two or three times by the Parents, being clothed, being educated and provided for, ...for granted!
Because that is what he expects, his/her Parents do everything to ensure 'he' gets it.
Anything less will engender QUESTIONS from the Child.

It does not mean that Child is not grateful it on;y means he has a "set level" of EXPECTATIONS.

In our own Country, a Child will "thank God and roll on the floor", if the Parents can afford One meal per day, if they can enrol him in a School and he does not have to sell in traffic on alternate days, to pay for school.
New Clothing is only on special occasions like New Year while things like Toys and Excursions to other countries, is off the menu...while the Parents throw money on Owambe Parties, father Orders Beer for everyone in the beer parlour, Mother buys the latest sequinned/organza Swiss Lace material and loads of Jewelries to boot.

So, if his Parents one day, buy him a New Cloth whe nit is not Christmas, you can imagine how elated he would get? grin

My friend in Nigeria sent me these pics of the great work Ambode is doing in Lagos....I knew what this area looked like when I last visited Lagos. Infact, i am shocked.

Unfortunately for my friend...he lives in the Ojodu/Denro axis of Ogun state which hasnt seen any significant development since Amosun was sworn in as governor. Hopefully. The ogun state countepart wakes up before the end of his tenure.
The problem with that axis in Ogun state that you just mentioned is that the state govt believes those staying there are lagosians. Abeokuta is develoing with it's environs, but places like mowe, ibafo to ojodu part are lagging behind.

True about fashola tho, but at least will have to give Ambode some praise, even tho we voted them in to do that.

I thrashed all your claims here!

Kindly back up your claims with location in Lagos for confirmation.

Most Fashola's achievements are on paper.

Ambo's achievements are closer to us and we see it in our area and street.

Light up Lagos. More than 365 streets across the state was light up including my area.

Roads. More than 114 roads projects, at least 2good roads in each 57 Local councils.

Employment. Pumping billions into Employment Trust Fund to support entrepreneurs.

Security. Bought armoured tanks, helicopters for aerial surveillance and policing, Gun boats, armoured personnel carriers. Don't forget new police cars in hundreds.

Revenue. He has generated the highest revenue in the history of Lagos State N289billion.

Food. Don't forget he laid the foundation for local rice production in Nigeria with Kebbi partnership, which the FG is now picking on, and about to produce it in mass to cover local consumption.

Salary. He pays workers salaries without seeking any bailout from FG. And also paid the money the state was owing pensioners since 2010 including Fashola's tenure which he didn't pay.

Emergency. 36 Mobile Intensive Care Unit ambulances, also provided additional 26 Transport Ambulances deployed across all General Hospitals. The ambulance service can be reached by calling the Toll-Free Line 112.

Power Generating sets ranging from 350 – 500 KVA as additional back-up sets across all our General Hospitals to ensure 24-hour power supply. In addition, 26 Mobile X-Ray machines are being installed at all our general hospitals across the State.

Housing. Have you not heard of Lagos rent to own scheme?
You can be a landlord or landlady in one of the estates across Lagos.

I can go on and on, not to talk of the countless ongoing projects across the state.

Ambode is a true reflection of what democracy is all about, bringing good governance to your door step.

Not to hear alone but to see with your face and be a partaker.

I give it to him!!!

I swear you have to give it to Ambode for his works in that area. I worked in that area for a couple of years in the 2000s, and I know how it was and had always been. When I went to Lagos during Easter and dropped at Berger, I was shocked at what I saw. If you didn't know that place before you wouldn't understand.

If only Amosun the ogun state counterpart can wake up cos 80per. of those seen on the fly over live around :Denrol, Alagbole, Akute, Ishashi and so on...

Contractors have resumed work in those axis. I pray he finishes these area before 2019. Ogun state have the resources to catch up with lagos but the leadership of the state from the onset has been so poor.

as in the last night I got to ojodu I was confused because ojodu I know is like okokomaiko grin ambode is working but the useless governor of ogunstate would only spend money at Abeokuta instead of areas close to Lagos like agbara sango ijebu ode sagam angry

Even Abeokuta is still not looking like a serene city. Places that needs urgent touch are sagamu-ogijo, alagbole-akute-ajuwon, agbado, sango Ota and Agbara estate road axis

Exactly my point, Ogun state is also economically viable which also host some giants multinational companies but the leadership of that state is questionable...
It can compete favourable well with Lagos state if handles by pragmatic and leader with vision...
