The shock, coupled with anger displayed on the lady's face already gave an indication of No FORGIVENESS for me

I glanced around and realise that almost everyone standing by's attention was now garnered towards us

The lady dragged herself up to her feet, and flashed me a scornful look with her right palm on her reddened cheek

I flinched at the sight of her acrimonious face and quickly got down on one knee

"please, forgive me, am deeply sorry.... "

"sorry?...". I nodded remorsefully. "you just slapped me twice without reason and you saying sorry?". She spat on the floor. "look here!, you are going to regret ever striking a lady today." she retorted angrily and reached for her phone inside her bag

"please, am deeply sorry, I thought you are someone else, someone that, that.......she stole my wallet....and...." I stuttered and stopped when I realise that my words were falling on deaf ears

She continued pressing her phone without looking at me. Thinking she was contacting the police, I held her by her ankles and continue to beg her for forgiveness

Seeing that begging her is apparently a waste of time, I rose up and began to abscond away but not without noticing the stares and glares am getting from the people around

I got to where the driver and Jide was waiting for me and hurriedly paid the driver his 15k and pleaded with him to drive me out of the bank area

"you have been nothing but absolute trouble for me right from the moment I carry you inside my car...enough is enough, take your trouble elsewhere....."

The man was still rambling and heading towards his car when Jide called my attention towards 3 slim but tall guys alighting from a bike

The lady I slapped earlier was seen approaching them

The driver dropped our bags on the ground near us and entered his car and zoomed off

I tapped Jide on the shoulder and quickly whisper to his ear

"Jide, you don watch prison break?"

Jide shook his head and continue staring at the lady, who was talking to the three guys

"Jide, what happen before is Act 1 Scene1 of Trouble, before Scene2 go begin, lets run while we still can...." I reiterated but apparently, Jide seems to be less worried

"No, why should we run? Darous lets go and meet them and explain to them that its a case of mistaken Identity...."

"Jide! Its like the devil sent you to me abi, you can wait o, but me, am not waiting around to get my handsome body beaten by some unregistered thugs." I picked up my bag and strapped it on my back just as the 3guys started marching angrily towards our direction

"Jide, you dey craze? Lets go!" I barked. He picked up his bag and we began to walk away hurriedly

We were now out of the bank area but the 3guys were still following us

We increased our steps and they started running after us

"Jide, you sabi run?... Make way!!" I declared and we started running along the tarred road

We ran far along the road for 5mins hoping the guys will get tired and turn around but we were wrong. They were equally determined to get us like how we were to get away

The loads on our back, coupled with our shoes slowing us down made the guys to caught up with us just when we were about to make a turn into an harmlet

"who beat my sister among you!" The tallest guy queried angrily as the other two clenched their fist getting ready for a fight

My pant was already wet and I started praying to shango for a divine miracle

"chairman calm down, its a mistake, na...." Jide was saying when the tallest guy wozed him a thunderous slap

Jide sprawled to the floor and spat out blood. He eyed me with an angry look and rose up

"you guys want to fight? Then you shall get it." Jide said and gave the tallest guy a fast blow on the face but before he could do anymore damage, the other two circled around him and made a wild rush at him. One gave him a kick on his right side and the other two lifted him up and dropped him heavily on the floor with a loud thud making blood gush out from his mouth. He fainted instantly

The 3 of them scrutinized Jide and after being satisfied that the fight was out of him, they started marching towards me

gawd! I need to faint! thats the only way am probably going to escape this inevitable beating

I began to back away slowly, studying their moves and simultaneously trying my luck at fainting

I held my breath for 7secs as I continued the backward motion but stopped when I nearly died and fainting wasn't coming

gawd! why am I finding it difficult to faint? Or why ll you allow Jide to faint and stop me from doing the same? Please gawd! give me the power to faint! I mentally prayed to the gawd of thunder

I stopped and pretended as if getting ready to take them on

I removed my bag and slowly dropped it on the floor. Seeing that their angry eyes were still focused on me, I turned abruptly and took to my heels

but sadly? They still followed!!
