I stopped going to church the year we had financial problems and our pastors changed towards us. that was 14years ago.

Whenever my any of my friends drag me to church, all I see is competition- whose make up looks better? who has the finest car? who is the best slay mama? who is cuter, who has the best voice, who can dance better? who drops More money in church

And single ladies desperately looking for maga/husband dressed in provocative outfits.

Guys looking for women to grace their bed.

All those churches that have schools, how.many of their church members can send their children to the schools?

what the hell r these pastors doing with private jets and very expensive cars while most members cannot afford a decent apartment and even motorcycle?

TBH I rarely go to church because I often find things to criticize everyday I go to church... my church collects two or three offerings every sunday ,one of which is church development offering but haven't change or developed anything for like four years.haba!
well I'm scared of criticizing d men of God. so I rather stay @home jeje

The original essence of gathering with other believers is for fellowship and to edify each other. Anything extra is not a must. The early church did not collect offering at every fellowship. Each member shared what he had with others

Many have departed from the faith for a long time now. Those gatherings in buildings you call churches are apostates. They have no resemblance with biblical church. They are filled with goats and lost sheep that can't edify anyone.

On judgement day, Christ my advocate will speak for me. And my admission into His glory would depend on whether I trusted Him completely not my works or unbiblical "church going"

1. Betrayal- Many of the youth felt betrayed by the so called men of God, whose life style is opposite of what they preach. I want to encourage youth to read Matthew 23.
2. Lack of fulfilment, Church no longer interest many because they cant find fulfilment

I think we need to define what a CHURCH is and how a CHURCH setting should be...None of the apostles had a church of their own, None pastored a church as a singular entity. The problem occurred when the modus operandi of what a church should be changed, when individuals begin to have the idea of owning a church for themselves and giving people the illusion that only inside such buildings will they be safe and communicate with God as such buildings is referred to a CHURCH.. NO, why do a man concern himself with building a big cathedral for God and call it a church, not with his own money but with that of other people, other people who are pressurized into delving into such venture. this is the problem, buildings are nt church, God will not rapture the buildings, so why do we continue to give people such illusions. I believe in God, I biliv in the death and resurrection of Jesus, I biliv that the Bible is true in its entirety but I honestly defer in ideology of what a CHURCH is and has become, as the new order makes people see MEN instead of CHRIST.

CHURCH should be nothing more than a "study group", a "fellowship" a "coming together of people of same mind" "of same ideology" "of saints", it should be able to take place anywhere, at anytime we all agreed upon and strictly adhere to, it can have a LEADER but not a OWNER, it can have a committee that sees to her growth and discipline not a one man at helm of affairs . it doesn't have to be a one man business, it was never established to be a one man thing. That is why youths are lost today, they see their pastors defect as God's defect, the deacons mistake as God's mistake and this is because someone is so particular about himself /herself being the Centre of attraction, being the owner of "God's business", they all want to be a CEO in God's company.. This is the problem

Actually, many people are not religious during their youth after being forced religion throughout their childhood and teenage years. Most older people, parents you see who are religious today were very irreligious when they were younger. So it's not a really new trend that youths are uninterested in religious activities. Some of us have that friend who while in the university was the least religious person but preaches to us now that they're married and all. I think there are social and psychological factors that can explain why people generally get more religious and conservative as they grow older.

That said, I think the times are changing and society and the world generally is witnessing a decline in overall religiosity which is making the fanatics more mad hence these terrorists springing up everywhere. Thanks to the age of science, information and evidence, it is becoming more difficult to deceive people with fantastical claims of supernaturality.

Social media... many stay back at home chatting from morning forgetting that it's Sunday before they know, the time for church is already late
