So many people writing privately to ask me questions about what I wrote for a thesis proposal. I have tried to answer all questions here to help benefit other prospective inquiries:

And almost as an afterthought lest I forget, find a catchy topic for a thesis proposal topic. Mine was titled: Where the Rubber Meets the Road: Reforming Healthcare in Nigeria through Public Policy, innovation and Good Governance.

Nice one boss...

Need some info, applied for same degree and school.

Hi, so sorry, I just saw your message. My course adviser sent me a form, which I used to do the registration, which I signed and scanned back to her. She later updated myconcordia.ca account with it and I was billed for the courses registered. You can do this yourself at myconcordia.ca. The difference is that you will be able to only register for a maximum of two courses.

I posted an update that I have received my receipt. I already have applied for TRV.

Please can we talk outside of this platform? I did not totally understand your explanations. Kindly share your email.

My school just sent my tuition fee receipts which wasn't included in my online application for TRV! Please I am open for advise.

My advice for you is to wait until you're asked to do so.
Tuition receipt isn't a primary requirement as a matter of fact so many applicants were approved without tuition payment request. Let's hear the opinions of other gurus in the house.

Try and read the resume of prospective research advisors and tailor your thesis proposal according to their area of interests. And applying to only three schools? You need to apply to the most competitive schools. No problem shooting for the stars. But be prepared at the prospect of rejection with them. Thus the need to apply second tier and lower tier schools as well. Just incase you don't reach the stars, at least you will end up somewhere. That is what I did too. I applied to a total of nine schools, McGill and Toronto included. I got rejected, but ended up at my second tier schools: Saskatchewan, Queens, Regina, Calgary and almost all my lower tier choices-- with full scholarships. I had no problem finding thesis advisors. At Saskatchewan, in fact I was offered an admission before the school looked at my Thesis/research proposal and used that to find me a supervisor. My advisor/supervisor interviewed me via Skype to make sure I was gonna be a right fit. Once he determined that, in fact he was eager to have me--especially given the fact that he found out I have been accepted at other schools and given scholarships. He even showed me around his office and the beautiful campus during the interview. My advice is for you to take a hot cup of coffee and take a deep breathe and think well and write a compelling research proposal. You should have no troubles with a powerfully written proposal. Good luck.

I have sent you mail (abdullahijamiu45@gmail.com), i would need your help especially regarding introduction letter, SOP and getting research supervisor. Thanks

Hello All,

I appreciate the good work of everyone on this platform, who have contributed to knowledge. However, I have noticed some people walk into this forum and insist on contacting certain persons privately, other than LOE, SOP, proposals, etc., this is regrettable and should be condemned. Please let's ask questions here for the benefit of all. I personally did not comment for once on UK study visa thread, but I got every information I needed there. If this attitude was the case, I wouldn't have benefited.

Not sure I will include a recent and non-relevant job. Perhaps a relevant volunteering and preparation for travel would be my choice. Not sure though.

Good afternoon gurus,

I have some issues here which needs immediate response,
.......
I await your magnanimous response Pls. Thanks

1st: Relax. This pressure is best before applying. But since yours came after, you need to relax. Pressure won't solve it.

2. Since you have sent email, hope for the best from Manitoba. Hope is why we are living. If not, many would have committed ed suicide.

3. Restart and follow the guidance of masters of the game. You already have one sharing his story. Follow it and prepare for another application. This time, don't apply without a supervisor, if one is needed.

I was once rejected by all schools for fall 2016. So I know how you are felling. Relax, review and follow the procedure you missed.

All the best,
Osemigho.

Thought I spent too much for admission but your own pass mine. Surely, you were hungry for admission and truly prepare for it. I remove cap for you.

For others that want to be like you but can't afford application fee for nine schools, what will be your advise?

No p. I come here and have some other things I do to keep myself busy, energized, and distracted.

Perhaps you should join express entry thread or mentor winter and fall 2018 applicants. Learning something new and helping others keep the mind busy and energized.

Boss,

I aint that moniker but I would like to comment on the last paragraph. Abeg no laff me oh.

When I was applying in 2014 for masters, I applied to 24 schools across the world except US and Canada : Most didnt require application fee. Na me and google that period. I wrote sops mehn, spent days at the cafe, even when I wasn't getting the full funding, I was still focused and applying.

Out of the 24, I got partial funding in 18, 5 rejects and one full scholarship (which is where I just graduated from- Thanks to God) and now on the way to Canada all by God's grace.

The idea is things may not turn out the way we want them to initially, but they will eventually in the long run with patience, prayers and trust in God.

This goes out to all still waiting for admission and trv, hang in there, do not lose hope, put in ypur best and your efforts will surely be rewarded positively.

We would surely celebrate together in Canada...

Peace...

I think you shouldn't include the recommendation from the new job since it's not related to your studies and if it's possible don't include it on to your cv (thank God the former company also gave you a recommendation letter so maybe you use that only). My take though , anyone with better advise should give pls

Hi there. what program you got accepted into? I also got admitted MEng Petroleum Eng UofA Fall 2017 but thinking of deferring to winter 2018 incase i didn't get my study permit on time. how did pay the tuition so early? I thought they made mention on bear tracks that fees assessment will be available 3rd july. anyways I applied on the 8th June, paper route with an upfront, no police report and no update as yet. Good luck

please I'm a bit confused about the IMM 5832 form. Is it used only for paper route? I'm applying online and it is not part of the required documents on my application. I have under optional documents 'Application for Temporal resident Visa made outside Canada' - IMM5257. Hoping am on the right track
