Hi,
This shouldn't bother you since your kids are citizens.
They don't need visa to enter Canada. Just apply for eTA for everyone of them. It's not difficult.
Nogen:
Good morning all. Please I need some clarifications. Do we have anyone who has gone with the children alone? My children are US citizens but I am going with them because they are babies. They are not yet 2 years old. (Please I don't want the advise of leaving them behind because there is no one to leave them with)

In my application for a CAQ , I indicated I'm going with them. I'm waiting for the certificate , hopefully I will receive it this week. Then I commence my online application. My husband is not going with us. My sister and Oga will be applying as visitors and they will be shuttling Canada and Nigeria until we have a permanent solution for the kids.

Now, what and what do I need to apply for the children? Are they entitled to the point of entry visa? Or would I also need to send their passports to Ghana? They don't have Nigerian passports yet.

Please your kind responses will be appreciated.

Those kids don't have issues to with Canada oh. eTA is all they need. You don't need all that bank statement shit to get their eTA. Just read about it in CIC site.

yes u can go with ur children and even ur husband , but make sure u have enough fund as the normal avarice of CAD10K will increase depending on the number of people accompanying u to Canada. the only reason people are advised to leave their gaily member back I'm naija is just to serve as home tie. try also to explain in details why u want to take ur children to canada and also let the vo know that their presence won't affect ur studies (that u intend getting a nanny as soon as u get to Canada so she will be with them whenever u have classes). I hope I have helped a bit?

I submitted after you but next to biometrics it says "completed". Last week I got an update from CIC saying Since you last checked your account, your application S.... has been updated. I thought it was nothing but seeing your screenshot I wonder if biometrics completed was the update. House does that mean my application is being worked on.

did you submit via paper or online?

Thought I spent too much for admission but your own pass mine. Surely, you were hungry for admission and truly prepare for it. I remove cap for you.

For others that want to be like you but can't afford application fee for nine schools, what will be your advise?

I think I spent a total of $600-700 for all 9 Canadian schools that I applied for. One irony about Canadian schools is they hardly give out any fee waivers of the application fee. Compare that to U.S. schools that always give out waivers. For example, McGill will only give you a fee waiver after you have paid for it and then petition a special board of the school to prove to them that you cannot pay. Lol. Then if you can, they will refund you the fee which you already paid. Saskatchewan will only give you a waiver if you live in a designated war zone: South Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, etc. I have left no stone unturned in my research of Canadian school and the verdict is: you MUST PAY for the application fee. Perhaps you should find a trusted friend or family member with foreign drawn account and give them the equivalent in naira and have them use their credit card for you. Many schools also accept the application fee by western union or wire transfer from your Nigerian domiciliary account. The only way I could pay for all nine schools is because I have an account in Canada with credit card there. I have lived in the U.S. twenty years, since when I was 10 years. Its routine to open accounts in both USA and Canada if you live there. So that kinda helped me now that I am back home. Good luck with everything fellas.

I agree with you. Also @Nogen , you can go with your kids without a need to apply for visa for them since they are american citizens. However, if they will be with you throughout the duration of your study, you will have to apply for a visa or change their status when you get to canada as american citizens can visit canada for not more than 180days.
Any day more than this duration will require a valid visa for them.

Nona pretty much helped me with my admission,
I applied for MSC at pre-admission stage, did a wrong conversation from percentages to GPA.
Nona help me changed it in my form after I asked about the conversation.
I emailed a professor with intent to do Msc but he adviced me to go for MEng. This is after my application
Anyways I got rejected for Msc due to limited number of people, I ask Nona about MEng and he immediately move me to MEng without starting from preliminary stage.
I applied in feb (pA I only applied to U of A)
He even notified me when my references had not filled my form... that caused a delay- they did not fill it till April..smh--- anyways got admission by may

Hello Rubbies22, please i want you to clarify me well on your application in UofA. was your app automatically transferred from the MSc to the MEng option after not being considered for the Msc admission which you applied initially. thanks

Hi bro, you can easily pay your application fee with GTB naira mastercard, they will charge you approximately 25K.

You don't loose the funding, it depends on the school's policy. Some don't even allow deferring, others allow only once. Talk to the admission's office not the supervisor. Supervisors are usually ignorant on admissions policies, their job is academic, not administrative.
Ok

Applying once in Canada for them to be approved to stay more than six months will require you to leave Canada and return. In essence, your children will need a visa. I say do it right now in Nigeria to prevent unnecessary complications. You have already told cic you are taking the children along with you, so why not proceed based on that premise and apply for visa for them right now.

Thanks to you and everyone who responded to my question. I will have to pay the visa fees for them as well. I don't want stories that touch.

Does that mean , they will also do medicals? I'm going for an upfront medical examination.

They would not have to leave and return to canada should she apply to extend or change their status while in canada. Main thing is that it is done 30 days before the expiration of the 180 days. Their visa application will be subject to her being the principal applicant on a study permit and her kids dependents.

All the same, which ever decison @Nogen takes, each option is advisable.

It is not. You do not have to apply seperately for a temporary visa to travel, once your study permit is approved, a visa foil will also be issued.

As you can see on your dashboard, it is an optional requirement. Nigerians do not need to provide it.

Please I need sincere guidance.

I wish to apply for postgraduate admission in Canadian University. I really need clarifications on so many things;
I have B.sc in Accounting, CGPA of 2.5 i.e 2.2 lower division
I am 38 years old, I have worked as contract staff for 7 years.

My questions are;
1. Can I get MBA admission with that?
2. Is it possible to get a school that will not require GMAT?
3. Is it possible for me to work while studying so I can take care of myself and dependants at home?
4. How and where do I begin the admission process?
Kindly assist to clarify and make useful suggestions
Thank you
