customised87:This maybe a 1 off situation. If it becomes the story of every woman, then it is suspicious. Some will collect this your case and remix it and claim it to be their story cos it sounds very convenient Let's just be a tard honest. |

On point and in point 110%. To some asking whether we are vo/cbp, i read the last sentences of the posters messages and my understanding is that they asked for my opinion, they culd ve refrained from posting on this thread if they wanted 'courtesy'. By the way, I dont even understand what 'courtesy' mean again. Onegai: |

Mr/Mrs TWoods, I guess I'll be channelling my response to you cos it seems you're the most vocal to my question and that of a similar question. I wouldn't have replied though but I had to because despite all the comments none had actually said anything to help out and then I understood why 0b100100111 was furious with you. All have suddenly turned Consular. And mind you, God has been fully involved in every aspect of my life though I can't say the same about you, you can answer that for yourself. I've heard the word ''2 heads is better than 1'' but I'll go with ''1 good head is better than a thousand bad ones". I am an engr, I solve problems and I'm able to achieve that feat via the power of collective effort cos no one is an island of knowledge hence the reason why I share my experience with the forum hoping to get ideas from others. I paid for the visa fee last year Aug while I was on an emergency 7 days leave hoping to come for the interview by January this year and subsequently proceed on the vacation to the US but my leave was cancelled due to work overload. I learnt that the visa fee would expire after a year so I got another 1 week emergency leave while everything had been put in place and appointment date fixed. I filled date of travel for June to fulfilled all righteousness because i honestly didn't take it as a do or die affair as I'm very ok where I am currently with my work status. If I hadn't paid for the visa fee I wouldn't have bothered and if my request for emergency leave hadn't been granted I wouldn't have showed up either. I am saying this so you know my antecedent and so you don't conclude that all Nigerians are fraud. I have been gone for almost 9 months before coming for the interview and its natural that I meet my wife ...so to clear you illusion, she wasn't pregnant when we went for the interview cos it was 5 days after my arrival and I wasn't expecting the application would be approved cos I am a practical person and i planned for the worst, believe me if you can wrap your brain around it, but I have this confidence that it will because what they want to establish is that you will be returning after your visit based on a strong tie you have in your home country or place of domicile and when he ask me my salary he has no reason to reject my application, as a matter of fact...the interview was less that 1minute 30 seconds. I could easily bought the ticket on the same day, pay for the hotel and be on my way to US after picking up the visa at DHL but for my work. Had to overstay because of the pickup of the visa. Birthing in the US wouldn't make the baby become the President of the United State, what I mean is...its not a big deal. I was born and grew up in Oworonshoki Lagos but I was determined to make a success of my life and with God's help and self determination I am what I am today. I was not born in VGC or Ikoyi talk-more of US but that hasn't prevent me from becoming what God has set me up to be. What I am saying is...not everybody is a fraud like you presumed, be more civil when discussing on social media don't assume you know it all. I and the other guy merely ask a question. If she's been pregnant before my interview that would have been a perfect reason to apply for the appropriate visa but its partially not impossible and like I said, it was after a week of my arrival at my base that she called to inform me about the development, even up till now she hasn't gone for a PT so I can be sure. Like I said previously, a lot of advice was forthcoming...I wanted to plan for her and the boys to go and spend 2 weeks but someone said since the visa was issued together...that they might prevent her entry or prevent me when I will be going. Also, I planned that she have the baby here...that would be next year and we'll apply for the baby's visa then someone said we won't be allow to take a 6 month old baby into the US despite granting the visa until the baby is 1 yr 6 months...I was so confused. These were the situation I found myself before deciding to come looking for help or advice here only to be met by all knowing, self acclaimed VO, CBP, etc yet they don't seem to proffer any solution or advice but for the exception of the 1st person that replied to my post. |

Onegai:Difficult to see such a constitutional amendment happening at all. However, what i suspect will happen (if immigration reform ever passes) is likely the elimination of the ability to seek medical treatment in the US on a B1/B2 visa. People who wish to have kids in the US would then need to apply for a specific medical visa. That would eliminate all these cases of "sudden" pregnancies once visiting visas have been obtained. |

Rex0105, This epistle is long. My own is why are you having sleepless night over the birthing in US ? Anyways, she can travel with d boys. Nobody will harass them or harass you if you travel alone. Plans change and its just a holiday. Let madam do the PT before she starts worrying about being preg, don't get ahead of yourself. And all these things people are telling you are lies. You can apply for visa for the baby at any age. Your family can go on their vacation without you. Your wife can birth in US anytime after the holiday as long as she has the right papers from the doctors and sufficient funds. So stop having sleepless nights except she tell you shes expecting triplets in this economy and scan shows they are all boys. In that situation, sleepless nights is allowed. |

TWoods:It will. Everyone is now aware of homegrown terrorists and the Right has successfully painted Latinos and other immigrants as the cause of all wahala. Did you see this? https://www.ice.gov/voice https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2017/02/28/politics/donald-trump-voice-victim-reporting/index.html Trump is the useful idio.t a lot of powerful guys have been waiting for. He will help them pass Laws even crazy Republicans can't pass. Because he appeals to the most fringe sects (who rabidly voted for him). Lower class and middle class people vehemently believe too much immigration is hurting them. |

I got my B1/b2 visa with hubby, January solely for the purpose of vacation. At that time,I was pregnant. However,we were not planning to use the visa for birthing. We didn't know we could afford it until we came on this thread . Of course I have been to the USA before. On getting to the POE D CBP asked for the change of intent letter and correspondence. In addition we were told to pay all our bills and not accept Medicaid... People can decide to change their plans anytime, and that is why the correspondence from the embassy states that; there is no legal requirement to change your purpose of visit.." Everyone that decides to change her purpose of visit is not fraud. |

You can go through any POE you so wish for me they are all the same from my experience JFK ,Atlanta, Houston are the the 3 ones have used I see no hassles. Just make sure to have on you correspondence with dr/hospital, money in what ever form to show you can foot the bills, accommodation booking or host address which ever applied to you. You won't even be noticed when you arrive in a local flight. goobyparks: |

fasttrack:He should crosscheck. I think most countries require your passport to be valid at least 6 months from date of entry. If that is the case then he may be denied entry even with a valid visa. Just get a new passport. |

goobyparks:Well so you lied. Sigh. Good luck. Your case isn't change of intent... it's basically fraud. |

goobyparks:By "easy Poe" I assume you mean a poe where officers are corrupt, don't pay attention to their jobs or turn a blind eye to folks like you who attemp to cheat visa officers. Well most US law enforcement officers are fiercely patriotic... so no easy POE. You have only yourself to blame. |
| Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Beautyaddy: 8:11pm On Jun 19, 2017 |
You are 100% correct. The U.S. embassy really needs to do this. It is obviously getting out of control. Sometimes I tend to question Abujaniv and LagosNIV if indeed they're real U.S. visa officers as they claim. They can't be reading this thread and not be of great concern to make drastic changes with their so called visiting visas which has now shown that at least from this thread the main purpose of getting it is just to give birth in the US and not for visiting purpose. justwise: |
