Question, how long does it take from the point that an academic department recommends admission and issues preliminary paperwork and funding, for the school of graduate studies to approve and issue official acceptance? Anybody with experience in this area, in University of Saskatchewan in particular? It's been two weeks now since I was recommended and still waiting official documentations. My supervisor said it takes one to two weeks. Graduate coordinator says it takes 2-4 weeks. I don't even know who to believe. Please anyone with experience in this area would be greatly appreciated. I need to apply for my TRV ASAP.

Boss,
In my case it took 3 weeks from when my supervisor told me I got accepted. My case is quite unique in the sense that my supervisor asked that they delay the issuance of the offer letter until he sorts out the funding amount, Which took around 2 weeks. And when, he gave them the go ahead, he had to push them till they eventually sent it.
While, he was pushing them, me, I was busy calling them. When it became ready, I was called to check my portal.

Two things to do here:

call them and remind them that you need it to process your trv due to limited time...

Option 2, ask for an extension of registration due to trv timeline. They will grant it, they usually do.

And my uni is uottawa...

Hope for the best boss...

This depends on the bank you will be using.

I have no idea about this but i suppose it is usually within 72 hours, but then you never know, it might extend beyond that.

Why not just go to the bank today and find out... the earlier, the better.

Okay got it last night!! Just when I had started to get concerned and posting questions on this forum. I didn't even call or email them. Took exactly three weeks. Officially approved by the school and offer of admission and full funding issued to me last night via email. God is good. Now I turn my eyes towards applying for a TRV. It shall end in praise.

Hello to all GURUS in the house. I have a question. I submitted my application online on the 9th of june and i a about going for biometrics. My question is
1. Do i need to provide birth certificates of my siblings? Most of them have lost theirs.
2. Will i need to fill the study permit questionaire ?? I think only paper applicants are required to fill that.

PLEASE I NEED ANSWERS. THANK YOU ALL

What is usually responsible for the delay? That just keep the files on their desks till they are ready to sign it?

Nope... It has to be signed by the head of the graduate service or whoever is in charge. Since, they attend to others too, I am quite sure yours will be done soon. But, call them or send email to let them know the urgency of the matter.
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Ayoola03(f): 9:06am On Jun 21, 2017
Someone can collect it on your bhave. All you need to do is to write an addressed letter to the vfs, include the person's details, the relationship between you guyz and ur signature at the end, attach a photocopy of the person's ID card with the letter. This is all he/she needs to take along. That was what I did to collect mine.

Dear All,

Just picked up my Passport and TRV. I give God all the glory and pray we all enjoy God's special grace.

I am available to review SoPs for those going for LLM or PhD in Law. I trust God for miracles on our list of TRV hopefuls before the month ends.

Keep believing!

Hi. I applied for study permit on 8th June 2017 via VFS with upfront medicals. No updated as yet not even on medicals, is this normal?

- Review of eligibility Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.
- Review of medical results You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
- Biometrics We do not need your fingerprints. We will send you a message if this changes

Thanks.
