On a good day how much do we think Dangote Cement shares should sell for. I think N100 to N120.

I agree with your price my big boss,,,, this is the reason i don't bother if i miss to enter stock when it failed to reach my target price before rally.
except new information emerge Dangote cement fair price is N110. it failed to reach this junction before recent rally hence i missed it. no shaken.

If insiders should reduce their holdings to 60% or 70% and between 30% to 40% is available for trading, Dangote cement share price will plummet to about N100.

A stock which places a major role in the movement of the All Shares Index should be available for investors and ownership should be democratised.

The stock can sell for any price, but since it is a public company up to 30% of the shares should be available to the investing public, a situation whereby 2% is available to you and I is akin to manipulation of the stock price

If care is not taken the insiders can decide to delist the company. The company does not have the ownership structure of a public company.

Aliko better makes that company a private company.

I know you're asking this question because of the holding analysed below.

emmanuelewumi:

Dangote Industry Limited own 91% of the company, Dangote's friends, family and top management of Dangote group own another 7%.

The amount available for trading is just 2%. If Dangote and other insiders should reduce their total holdings to 70%, except the share price of the company to plummet.

It is a good company, but I am not sure if it is selling at a good price.

For a company to be listed on our bourse, it is required to have a free float of 20%. So at least 20% is the volume that must be available for the public.

However, the Exchange tweaked that requirement to serve an interest by creating what they called the premium board. With the premium board, value is used to determine the free float and it is just 40 billion naira.

The foregoing means that at 200 naira per share, Aliko is only required to make 200 million shares available to the public. With an outstanding shares of 17,040,507,405, only 1.2% is available to the public. Keep in mind the percentage is price dependent and will shrink if the price goes up and vice versa.

What this technically means is that he can take out every other shareholder and leave the Dubai fund and he'll still be within regulation.

Happy several new years to you guys.

How is this possible?
For a company to be listed on the NSE it must maintain a free float of nothing less than 20%.

Money is available now, don't panic, I seriously need to raise some bar in Dangote flour.

Thank you for this piece.

Considering that the public holds around 1.2% of the shares, what is the maximum change in price they (public) can
bring about on the stock?
Correct me sir if I am wrong. People that are allowed to hold around 1.2% of a stock should have a limited power in influencing the stock price.

Be careful this coming week folks...

Stocks like FBNH and M&B have displayed the parabolic arc pattern so I'm expecting serious retracement

Just my opinion...

MARKET RETRACES- FIBONACCI COMES TO PLAY- WATCH 31,887.96 LEVEL

This week ended the recent bullish run in the market. But, the general uptrend is still on. The next determinant point will be the above level of 31,887.96, if market refuses to bounce back at that point, the index may go down further.

However, the interesting thing about this market is that it is only equities that gained more recently that are mostly affected by the prices collapse/profit taking. I expect the down trend to continue next week as the funds need to realize some profits for their shareholders.

There is high probability that the bull will only return in July. Therefore, if we see that our position is threatened it will be a good time to sell. I see no justification, in allowing a profit to turn to a loss in the face of rapidly falling prices, when I can still pocket some profits now, then come back to buy same equity at as lower price. For this reason, if I bought May and Baker at about 3.50, by the opening of the market on Tuesday, I will liquidate all my holdings fast.

Likewise, I am keeping Dangote Flour under close watch, once it goes below 4.50 I will sell for a minimal loss of about 5%. I expect this to retrace to about NGN3.65 To 3.85 which will be a fantastic entry point again. The chart for this is shown below.

Knowledge of technical analysis is an edge in this market as it keeps one fully confident of what to do when there seems to be confusion in the market. For now, I have liquidated some stocks to have funds to play the Quarterly return game, which should be part of the bread and butter strategy for a good technical analyst. It could be risky, but if we know how to play it, it is highly rewarding. This is the junction we have been waiting for. I will give one "expo" here within the next 2 weeks.

Caution: Investing is a risky venture. This is just my opinion and I cannot be liable for any loss suffered as a result of following this recommendation All data used are assumed to be correct, but you may need to verify some of the figures independently.

The market usually opens at 10:30 am and trading starts at 10:15 am. You can place bids between 10.30 am and 10.04 am (between 10:05am and 10:15am is for MM only, and this is also the time already placed orders are matched and crossed). During pre-market, hit your mouse button at exactly 10:29:58 am and place your order at +5%. This will position your bid at the very top or close to it depending on the strength of your internet connection and how fast other traders are at hitting their own buttons. If you think the stock is likely to gap-trade by doing an addition 5% after pre-market, then edit your bid price by adding 5% and be ready to hit the mouse button at exactly 10:14:59 am. This depends on the broker you are using.

NICE JOB.but the times are confusing.can you explain again in sequence?

Here are two big sign that bull will return next week;

1. with availability of money shared during the FAAC meeting this week, this will usher in commencement of workers payment and contractors both at federal, state, and local government level starting from next week, plenty money will enter the market.

2. With expectations of release of good and fantastic result starting from next two weeks, many smart investors will start taking position once after the Monday and Tuesday public holidays.

Two of the mentioned point above will drag in the bull, so friends take advantage of this opportunity, don't panic.

Important notice, please those eyeing Dangote flour @ #3.50 and #4 should please look elsewhere, and those with bad luck already inside the vehicle should please exit to allow our vehicle move up faster,( am just joking, even if you have spirit of bad luck following you, once you enter our motor your bad luck will fly away and your name will turn to good luck grin grin grin).

Bear scares people away from the market and present a good entry opportunity and always beg people to buy.

Bull draw peoples attention, and present happiness for semi greedy ones, and happiness and sorrow for fully brand greedy ones, also present an avenue for people begging for exit door to excape.
