Going foward, the Immigration and Citizenship issue would be a very tough nut to crack; a moot point. I agree with those who suggest that the Yoruba borders needs to be tightened, the immigration laws needs to be robust, the visa/citizenship application needs to be very strict.

Selfishly, or would I say personally, I wonder what would be the fate of people like us who identify ourselves more as Yoruba than our own ethnic group.
I had always thought that you and laudate are Yoruba

I am starting to understand that you guys don't know the meaning of "history" because it is not taught in nigerian schools.
You don't get to decide what your past was according to your mood of the day.
The Oba of Lagos has already clarified the Edo origins of Lagos, so have historical documents.
The Olu of Warri was only looking for an alliance, he didn't know that you guys as usual would see this as him forfeiting his land Warri to your lots.

LoL, I see you're getting seriously ignored but I'll give you the attention you so desire but for one time only.

At the emboldened, are you aware the Oba of Lagos is only the Oba of Idumota and every other corner of modern Lagos state belongs to the Yoruba of Awori, Ijebu, Ikoyi whose kings are directly connected to Ife/Oduduwa, Awujale, Alaafin and Ogu people of Badagry. And Oba of Lagos' kingdom is no more than few streets?

I hope the Oba of Eko and your historical documents told you that as well.

Benin City is certainly not Yoruba, it is Edo, the capital of the Edo empire.
"Yorubas" are getting on my nerves, the way they carry on inventing the most laughable stories and calling them their "history".
Prove to me that Benon city is not part of Yoruba land and I'll prove to you that Nnamdi Kanu is from Jamaica

Bro...you forgot Benin City...What about Benin city??

Bini is not Yoruba, we only had a connection with their throne and arts and that is where it stops.
The same way Eko (Lagos Island) is Yoruba populated but Oba Bini had a connection with Eleko's throne and that is where it stops.

Once again a "yoruba" guy who decides his past accordig to his mood of the day.
As soon as the Oba of Lagos spilled the truth to the public, the truth which many who call themselves "yoruba" have been trying to deny, as soon as that happened, the history of the Oba of Lagos was changed, now you "story tellers" have made the King of Lagos to be a street chief in your fiction.
You guys are amazing. No honour, no honesty, no intelect, just story tellers. You don't know your history.

Uncle, calm down and go read those historical documents you mentioned again or go find out where Eko is.

Let me also add to your knowledge that Eleko has no crown, his Oba status is really questionable. But the Idejo like Elegushi, Onikyi, Oniru and so on have ancestral crowns which were seized by Lagos government but have now been returned to them and they now wear crowns but your Oba Eko has no crown whatsoever -- he only ties white cloth over his head grin grin grin

Look, your yorubaland is nothing but a fiction, the only thing I know is the Benin empire.
All your "yoruba" chiefs are mere copy-cats of the Oba of Benin less the authenticity. Those unsecured village chiefs added the title Oba to their names while it is historically proven that that title belongs to Omo n'Oba n'Edo. It is annoying to discuss with people who do not know history but talk as if they have a point. Let me repeat: Benin City was the capital of the Benin Empire/Kingdom, that is all. The people of the empire are called the Edos, one people. Your yoruba nomination is just as new as the name nigeria. We (the Edos) have a well documented history which is well known even in european libraries.

Instead of us breaking away individually...why don't the IPOB,NIGER DELTA YOUTHS AND ODC come together and chase out all this almajiris living in Nigeria??

UNITY SUMMIT FOR YORUBA , AFENIFERE HOLDS Thursday in IBADAN

"The meeting is aimed at uniting the mainstream Yoruba people. This task will be achieved greatly if the two Afenifere groups are united. I think the region is coming to realize that they either stand in unity or fall in disunity” Dr Mobolaji Ojo, an official of O’odua National Coalition (ONAC) who is privy to the summit said.

He hinted that the Yoruba leaders expected at the summit will be drawn from Afenifere and the splinter group, Afenifere Renewal Group (ARG). Prominent leaders expected at the summit are chief Olanihun Ajayi, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, Hon Wale Osun, General Alani Akinrinade, Mr Ayo Afolabi, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Sola Adeyeye and the governors of the six southwest states. The Itsekiri, will be represented by Chief (Mrs) Rita Lori Ogbebor, Chief Fred Agbeyegbe and Dr Lucky Akaruse..

You see some Yorubas making noise... Edo this, Edo that. One would think there are some very valuable resources in the state or the people there are churning out hi-tech products a la Japan.

Never given a fook about that state.

The only thing I know about the state is that they have a Queen King that sits in his palace 24-7 like a stay-at-home mom wearing beads and Tulle skirts
