That was before Nigeria was polarised along every lines you can imagine. But I still maintain, to some extent though, this polarisation, as it where, is mostly on social media, and not in real life.

Abeg let them take arabic to arabic schools.whoever wish to learn it should go there! I cant imagine making arabic compulsory in britain or any developed country.

My brother, most of us all attended a public secondary school. There's a clear difference between failing to write an examination & refusing to take a subject. There's never been a way u will stand up to the sch authority that u won't take the required number of subjects

check the curriculum then and see if you will run foul of the required number of subjects if you drop arabic

I went to a private school but wrote my waec in a govt school and yes I was dealt with for refusing a subject, infact because of refusing a subject I was made not to write the others in waec,. Thanks to God for neco.so guy stop arguing baseless.

The missionaries operated private schools then and they used their
mother tongue, english to teach, muslims refuse to send their children to
the schools, instead they sent them to learn Arabic and that is why the north
is the most backward region in Nigeria in terms of education.

It is a shame that a supposed "educated" man can't reason properly.
