I still wonder why we all are wasting money to find expensive flight whatever online when @folaroyal dropped someone here for us called Olamide I have her number with me, I have also introduced alot of people to her coy. I also booked my flight with her. very cheap and affordable. if you need her number lemme know i will give it out here. trusted and tested. @Osemigho i pm you last night you shun my Pm Ba? angry

If it's your first time flying or going to Canada, I will actually recommend an expensive reputable flight, business class if you have the money. You are creating a memory for the first time and this is important. The experience will forever be erched in your memory I promise. First time I flew to the United States, my first flight ever, was on Sabena Airlines. It was first class and the school I was going gave me full scholarship and paid for the flight for me. I couldn't afford, haha, not even economy class. When the curtain would wind down during the flight, and I looked at those in economy class been fed with crackers and juice, in first class, we had real food, juice and wine, you name it. Anytime we wanted. The chairs could recline 180 degrees for sleep. Even during connection, we had a special waiting area with full bar and food available--all free. No flight experience has compared ever since. It's one etched in my memory forever, cherished and will never be forgotten. It cost only $1200 U.S.--one way. The point is go economy and cheap if that is all you can afford. But please if you have extra money, make the experience count. It's not a few hours, the whole day is spent travelling. Enjoy and spoil yourself, you deserve it having worked hard and come thus far.

bro what if she doesn't have any other means of raising the money to pay while she waits for nddc to pay? I feel if she can't get that she should just ask nddc for another letter reassuring cic that they will make the payment as soon as he gets she gets her trv. I also want to use the case of schools that doesn't accept tuition fee until trv has been approved, cic understands that as long as the school writes a letter to that effect and also the applicant can get a letter of assurance from his/her bank (sponsor ) that the funds will be transported as soon as the applicant gets his/her trv. NB: From the little I know I think she doesn't have any other way to raise the tuition fee.
Well, if IRCC wanted a letter of assurance for tuition, it would have been spelt out. Remember, she also showed SUFFICIENT AVAILABLE funds from her uncle meaning funds are available aside the NDDC scholarship.

So providing only the assurance letter from NDDC will mean there is actually no funds from uncle as claimed and that could affect the overall credibility of sponsor and ability to live up to the responsibility of sponsorship. I'll still suggest, @pureRuby find a way to atleast pay the first year tuition as instructed or have funds in canada atleast. The application is 85-90% sure at it stands now, anything to make it a 100% will be best. I just wish she can find funds to do this before the duration expiration.

My name is Ceslause. I got admission into University of Regina for fall 2017, MA French and Francophone Intercultural Studies. I applied for Trv via paper route on 18th april 2017, with upfront medical. On 10th May,i got an email from CIC requesting for proof of my previous employment (introduction letter),which i scanned and sent to them the next day, explaining to them that i omitted putting in together with my current employment letter. Since then, i haven't heard anything from them again, though am yet to link my application to my CIC account. And 17th July will make it 12weeks, so i hope to wait it out, and by God's grace share the goodnews of Approval. I will everyone here the best

I already did that @wealth360

Application processing is in progress. I used my valid upfront medical I used to apply last year, which I passed last year...so I guess they won't bother sending me mail that I passed medical.

Thanks for your concern. I believe I will soon share my testimony here! I wish all the TRV hopefuls the best.

My brother don't doubt the line.
That's the rule of the new MD and his team.

NDDC has payed the complete 30k USD plus N500k take off fee to the first batch who travelled earlier.
2nd batch has just been payed N500k take off fee and about to be paid tuition and upkeep.

They pay at once now, it's just the condition of travelling first before they can pay.

I don't want to derail this thread, but I know some guys in 2016 at Aberdeen yet to be paid as at now

Your post is not helpful to already tensed nerve.
As long as they have submitted their complete account details, then I am sure they have been enlisted for payment as they were just mobilised for payment of N500k and about to be paid the rest. Ist batch that travelled since sept 2016 have received their complete payment.

I am not speaking for nddc as their new policy sucks but your comment didn't do any good either.

My dear @PureRuby, frankly, to convince this guy you have to pay the tuition fees completely, and have a letter from your bank to support your living expense. The earlier you do this, the better for you. Luckly for you, they have started reviewing your app. After submitting this evidences, you have 3 weeks to get their response like Canadianurse got his.

Think fast, act fast and live NDDC out of it. They are already aware of NDDC, but they don't care or respect Nigerian scholarships anymore. They will only consider a canadian school funding, exchange programs funding from countries like china, south korea etc. but not a Nigeria scholarship deary. It is no new news that the same NDDC refused or delayed reimbursting Niger-Delta miltants on study in the U.k and U.S not quite long. Don't blame the CIC guys dear.

Do the needful, get a loan or something and pay right away. Then later on, reimburst the loan giver when u receive your scholarship. That seems to be the only way out. Mind you, Canadiannurse paid half of his tuition before they even asked his for your same letter oooooo...

Shikena!!!

Thanks to vvvvv for the flight info support. House, I need more information on best flight options and reviews.

One that won't warrant breaking a bank and also cool. I am aware of Ethiopia, Egypt and Turkish. Please share your recent experience with any of it or another of such. Need to book flight asap.

I'm not a guru or anything, but i think booking for a flight now will be more expensive...early july would be a whole lot more expensive than late august due to the demand for summer holidays

Boss they really relate actually.
I studied Computer science and was going for a Computer software and database development program. So.....?? Lol
Please suggest M.SC programs and schools that'll suit too, thanks.

Purpose of visit doesn't always mean course have to relate. It may also mean that you have not shown that you would remain a bonafide student and not a potential immigrant. Order Gcms note. Travel history might mean ties have not been shown to Nigeria. Work on both things with a compelling Sop and tangible evidence. How did you get first admission without professor recommendation? Almost all schools allow professional work recommendation if you have been working a long time and have trouble tracking old professors that may have moved on. I will recommend getting at least one professor recommendation. Good luck!

Morning House,
Please I need your suggestions,
I was denied trv this week after gaining admission to Lambton college. cry cry
Reasons were Purpose of Visit and Travel history.
I was advised to opt for an M.SC on reapplication since I had a 2:1 with my B.SC degree to better treat the purpose of visit issue....so,
1. I need suggestions on schools/ Universities I can apply to for the Winter intake (preferably ones that waive Toefl for Nigerians) which our naira land brothers have highly recently gotten admitted to.
2. How do I treat the Travel history issue? I was advised to get a US/UK visa and travel once or twice first to fix this (because I've never been out of Nigeria ) but this doesn't seem really fesible for me tbh.
3. Do I need to get school (past professors) references for all schools to get the M.SC course? If not, please suggest Uni's where work references are accepted cos I would rather not go back to kiss my Past professors' butts. Lol

Thank you very much guys. God bless.
Most times the two are tied together. This implies that the VO isn't convinced you're going to study or that you need the degree you're going for. It could also imply inconsistency in your academic/work background and your chosen course of study. Nine times out of ten an applicant with a First degree going for a diploma will be denied except such applicant is able to convince the VO of his/her rationale for choosing the diploma programme. Another reason why the above could be ticked is when your intended programme of study is not at all related to your background (academic/professional). Length of proposed stay may imply that the VO isn't convinced you need that much time away from your home country in pursuit of a degree or that you can obtain the needed experience in the time frame quoted. (keyword: convinced It is very likely that two different VOs might see things differently i.e where one VO feels your current job as a junior business analyst is unrelated to your chosen course of study in International Business [got this from an applicant's GCMS notes], another VO reviewing the same application may feel otherwise. All one can do is to convince as much as possible and hope/pray one's VO is eventually convinced)(This part is speculative and not a fact. Further input is needed from other members of the house)

Baba PureRuby, you are mostly going to get approved, I think is the last criteria they want you to provide .
They want to be sure you can fund your program if your sponsor disappoints.

I think what you should do is to borrow money if bank is delaying because of the procedure.

Borrow money from your colleagues in your work place, if you know any of your superiors, let them know your purpose for borrowing money. Try many people, tell your parents to borrow for you too but they should know from whom because of the society we are in Nigeria.
Please make sure this money comes out before the time frame.

It will end in praise

Good morning everyone in the house.
Please, I urgently need our honest advise on what to do concerning the REQUEST i got from cic last night.

For better understanding, below is a bit of my profile:
I applied for msc in geology for fall term at Uwo, Paper route, may 12, medical passed, currently reviewing my eligibility.

I have Bsc in geology.

4 yrs work experience at a mining company, still working there.

2016 NDDC award worth 30k USD (about 39k CAD) but payment has not been made yet. Tuition is worth 17300 CAD/yr plus 10k living expenses (= 27300 CAD).

Company support of 1 million when i start studies.

Uncle's support of 30k USD (in words not in action, for visa approval)

NB:
I am not on funding from school as my program is one year course based msc.
I also cannot afford to pay for one term not to talk of the whole year tuition.

PLEASE, WHAT DO YOU ADVISE I DO

Wow! I am very grateful for all the advice and contributions. Thank you all and may God grant us all our trv desires in Jesus Name, Amen.

I AM A YOUNG LADY grin

The truth is that all of us cannot come from money readily available homes and God in His infinite wisdom has called me into a humble background. Not all of us have the privilege of quickly obtaining loan, be it from banks or humans

Did He make mistake in awarding me this scholarship? NO! Under no circumstances should I be admitted to UWO due to low 2.2 grade, but just one application to a school, a supervisor was reading available and I was admitted without delay.

All i am trying to say is that, God has and will always use the foolish things of this world to confound the wisdom of men. He has made a provision of "explanation" for me in the cic request, if for any reason I feel i will not be able to meet up with the request.

I am totally with the option of obtaining loan to pay my tuition (me wan chop trv nah grin grin, who will not want to?)
But, if God doesn't permit me to borrow by not sending whom I could borrow from, I will not still be shake for I serve a God who has the heart of kings in His Hands and control them as it pleases Him, The God who rules over the affairs of men.
No man can cage God by a rule, not even canadian VOs.

I truly appreciate every of your contributions.
It shall end in praise.
