this is a great observation, I am waiting for an official response from Gtbank via their social media handle.

The branch I made use of in warri (2013 to be precise) has gate, though being warri, it is expected.

GTB at 2nd Avenue, FESTAC has a gate.
Most of ones with gates are purchased buildings. If it's a building built from the scratch by GTB, chances are that they will be no gated entrance.

They depend on technology (I introduced 2 of such to them them in 2007 . . . though my company wasn't patronised, but they now use the 2.

Secondly, the bank relies more on smart security operatives (private and government).

Thirdly, a fence has very limited use in stopping a bank robbery, it can actually be counterproductive.

P.S. The more interesting angle is, GTBanks rarely get robbed - rarely.

Another interesting fact is that GTBank designs their branches and No two branches has the same design.

it's because of their name, "guaranty", you're guaranteed even without gate

the no gate idea was to make the bank easily accessible, welcoming to guests and to create a user-friendly enviroment as against banks heavily fenced like prisons and of course it worked for them.

It has t do with the name of their brand. So you could come freely without no boundary to their banking hall, trusting them more that your money is guarantee to be safe.
