not only that dey don't have gate but they have low record of robbery unlike other banks with gate.
A would like to believe that a couple of the robberies are setup by the workers of the banks. I've noticed Zenith Bank has had a high case of robbery incidents over the years. I was a victim.

Its common sense, it simply signify openness which is a core value of the bank , both to their customers, shareholders and stakeholders alike.
What that is saying is you're "welcome any day and/or time".

Even at 2, 3, 4 Am it is the only bank in Nigeria you can access the all their financial service channels down to ATM. GTBank is the only Nigerian Bank as at today practising true 247 Bank in the country.

They care like this when it comes to financial services...

without a gate is more secure, no gates in UK. residences lol. robbers don't like open places to rob, that why must robbery is done at nite.
na we Nigerians like iron gates n burgarly go to dubai, shops that deals with correct jewelries worth billions no single iron door.

I want to believe it is a psychology thing. Armed robbers have not been given the opportunity to see anything that will stop them from breaking into Gtbank. and in all their professional robbery life they had to break in by force and destruction, but there's nothing like that at any Gtbank branch. therefore, to the professional robbers, and being highly intelligent, they would think there's something dangerous or sinister about a bank that seemingly doesn't care wether it is gonna get robbed. they will think twice and hard before breaking into a bank that they can't fathom any physical kind of security in place. them say awoof they run belle.

You My Friend...Got the Answer Perfectly.

You are a very Smart and Intelligent one of your Kind.

I am a professional Townplanner and i had known the answer from My days of Principles of Urban design..Designing/Building with Human Psychology in mind is one of the greatest strengths an Architect or Townplanner can possess.

Not using gates by GTB is just a form of Reverse Psychology on the minds of both customers and also the men of the underworld.

Have you observed that when you walk into any GTB bank premises, you feel even more , secure,.free and relaxed..Compared to when you are going into.a.bank.like Zenith whose gates are always 18ft upward by standard. The Gates only give you a sense of fear which is not there.

Also as my friend Said..Men of the Underworld love Challenges and always have a mindset of breaking into their Target at all costs..So they seeing an Environment barely with gates but only flower.strips and open atmosphere gives them."That Awoof dey run Belle feeling" grin cool

That's true. I checked the ones I know myself and they don't have.

Thats how most commercial buildings in advanced countries are built.
. Don't tag it pls. Even residential buildings in advanced countries don't have fences and gates. Think of it as their trademark like the kind of door First bank uses

Some couple of hours ago I saw an update on My Facebook news feed about an
observation that all gtbanks across the federations do not have gate unlike other
banks.

I almost begged to disagree, but after ruminating and brooding over all the 5
GTBANKS I know within my location here in my city where I live, I realized that
the FB poster is right going by my own observation with all the bank branches
I know in my location.

Here is the drill!

Is it also true that all GTBANKS in all the branches in your location do not have gate?

If yes or no, what could be responsible.

Lets hear from you

GTB Umuahia has 2 gates.

Exactly, but what could probably be the core reason and why is it
that it's only Nigeria GTBank that seems to be copying the these
foreign banks going gateless in all their branches?
access banks don't have gates too.

It's dependent on the area it is located. Often times they have no gate or a small foldable one to allow ease of access ( for cars), so you don't have to come in and go out via same route

They probably want to keep the same design throughout their branches just like that. Obviously design statement from their management.

Yes, that's a core part of corporate branding.

As for the no-fence style, my closest guess is the sheer absence of neccessity. It's sends a clear message of 'I am at your service anytime'. Physical assets such as cars, vans etc are protected at the usually fenced rare of their their buildings. Bullet proof access doors provide daytime security with assistance from security operatives. That style allows for enhanced parking lot i.e space optimitization and an aura of no secrecy.
