Afripud Q2 result is very impressive. Massive earnings growth (thanks to high TB rate), efficient utilisation of assets to generate positive cashflow, zero gearing level, and low cost of operation. The company also attracted more deposit from customers indicating confidence in the management and business model. If this current performance is sustained over the remaining half year, shareholders and investors are in for mouth-watering dividend.

MARKET RETRACES- FIBONACCI COMES TO PLAY- WATCH 31,887.96 LEVEL

This week ended the recent bullish run in the market. But, the general uptrend is still on. The next determinant point will be the above level of 31,887.96, if market refuses to bounce back at that point, the index may go down further.

However, the interesting thing about this market is that it is only equities that gained more recently that are mostly affected by the prices collapse/profit taking. I expect the down trend to continue next week as the funds need to realize some profits for their shareholders.

There is high probability that the bull will only return in July. Therefore, if we see that our position is threatened it will be a good time to sell. I see no justification, in allowing a profit to turn to a loss in the face of rapidly falling prices, when I can still pocket some profits now, then come back to buy same equity at as lower price. For this reason, if I bought May and Baker at about 3.50, by the opening of the market on Tuesday, I will liquidate all my holdings fast.

Likewise, I am keeping Dangote Flour under close watch, once it goes below 4.50 I will sell for a minimal loss of about 5%. I expect this to retrace to about NGN3.65 To 3.85 which will be a fantastic entry point again. The chart for this is shown below.

Knowledge of technical analysis is an edge in this market as it keeps one fully confident of what to do when there seems to be confusion in the market. For now, I have liquidated some stocks to have funds to play the Quarterly return game, which should be part of the bread and butter strategy for a good technical analyst. It could be risky, but if we know how to play it, it is highly rewarding. This is the junction we have been waiting for. I will give one "expo" here within the next 2 weeks.

Caution: Investing is a risky venture. This is just my opinion and I cannot be liable for any loss suffered as a result of following this recommendation All data used are assumed to be correct, but you may need to verify some of the figures independently.

Oga Yok, I had to pull this out. What are the possibilities in the chart for the highlighted; Dangote Flour, May & Baker and FBHN inclusive.

Dangote Flour is a hard nut to crack, holding steady above expected entry.

Read most of the old posts, it would guide your investment decisions. Most importantly you must identify your investment objective - Long term or short term, capital appreciation or dividend etc. Not forgetting the very risky JIJO trade grin

Good luck!

Recently there has been huge volumes on Niger Insurance. Could that be a sign that investors are interested in it?

Na so I follow Myjoy, (the rest is history I don't want to remember) Yet to recover.

@Toluway, so sorry for this. I think its one out of many predictions gone bad. This is one of the reasons pple need to take adding caveat to their recommendations serious.

I've benefitted from few of Myjoy's stock pick in the past. Based on my observation, the guy do get access to some priviledged info sometimes and will just post it with all certainty. One thing I know is that, predicting or timing the market these days is somehow due to much instability in the market. I guess that's the reason why some other valuable members (in the likes of mercy etc. are now being very careful and sceptical to recommend any cheesy cheesy).

That again is the more reason to come out and mention any stock you heard anything about (if you so wish) so that the gurus and seasoned professionals in the house can brainstorm and help throw more light on it; so also that the 'mission statement' wink of this forum can be constantly accomplished.

Abeg make una no vex o, na my opinion oo.

Those waiting for stocks at very ridiculous prices are just wasting their time. Recession is almost over, inflation rate is dropping M-o-M, and we are not expecting any political crisis at the moment except bad news filters in from London and even that will behandled appropriately as we have been there in the past.

I re-entered FBNH at 7:15 and i am not selling until Km 10, so you wont see my unit to buy in the market angry

My dangote flour lost an appreciable sum in terms of profit, but you also will not see it in the market soonest. Dangote flour is the most defensive stock i have experienced in NSE and that part of my portfolio makes me happy whenever i look at it. It H1 results will be like that of Kano in the last presidential election. It will determine the President!

My advice too is that you be patient. Try and be keeping pace with happenings in the market and be vigillant of entry/exit point.

Selling at loss is not a good thing especially when large volume is involved, when you have the option to wait for the stock to pick up again and when events in the market are looking up.

It is well.

Its the same transaction, judging by the quantity of shares, which means no cancellation, but holding merely transfered from TOE's left hand to his right hand.
The acts of the big cowboys!
But this could be huge income for UBA if not financed with loan from the same UBA. grin

Random TA
- a macd bullish crossover above the zero line is far more reliable than d a cross over below d zero line. (daily)
- a macd crossover on d weekly chart above zero is very very buliish and vice versa
- wen d weekly RSI is above 69.1 or oversold levels , d stock has explosive tendency and probability of making higher highs is high (lol)
