Hello everyone, I am about to pay for my air ticket to JFK using Air maroc. Hmmm, has anyone used air maroc before? Kindly state your experience and if it was satisfactory.
Thanks

Provided that you are young enough, your chances are good. VOs often frown at older people going for bachelor's program. But again if you have very solid reasons for not having done your bachelor's program yet, you can get your visa.
. Thanks

Well,I'd say if you prepare well and get your facts right with God also as your backing your get it. Please don't go with statistics. Prepare for your interview and know why you're travelling.

I lost my smartphone and I plan to get a replacement. However, someone said my smartphone would be useless in the states as the networks won't match. That I'll just have to discard and buy phone there. Another said I can buy a US sim and use with my new phone. That buying a phone there is expensive and better bought here. Please those who are already there, which is accurate? Not having a smartphone sucks at the moment for someone like me, but i don't want to buy something I would have no choice but to decommission in 2 weeks time or so when I travel.

Check the 3G and LTE frequency bands on the phone you have..and then look up the bands/coverage of the carriers you are looking at in the US. Note that a phone that uses a removable sim (GSM-based) would most like not work with CDMA-based carriers like Sprint and Verizon..and you don't have to buy an expensive phone, to support all the bands you need here.
Your phone will most likely have LTE coverage most of the time here, if those bands are supported.

Hello all been a silent follower of this thread. Please advise me on what to do. I'm an undergraduate student in one of the caribbean countries and I am transferring to the states to complete. I got denied twice in April now I applied again in July and got denied. I've been thinking to go complete my studies and stop applying for U.S visa while thinking to apply again on a second thought

Stop thinking.Focus more on your undergraduate studies first and apply for your masters in US.

This is not true. Medical tourism (including birth tourism) is legal in the US, and we issue visas all the time to people who come out and tell us that the only purpose for which they are applying for a visa is to have their baby in the US. Take a look at the thread about that here to see more details.

i can place my bet on what i said , i know over 6 people who have been denied US visa because they said they were expecting a child or they said they plan on having a child soon . most people who go to the US to have child don't make it known to the VO , the only time they grant a visa to a pregnant woman is if she can prove with a good medical report that there are some kind of complications surrounding her pregnancy and she needs the best hands to help her with delivery which of course she can't get in nigeria and such cases are rear .

i also know some couples who were asked during their interview if they planned on having a child during their visa validity and they said no and their visas were approved .

i repeat again , don't ever go to the embassy and say you plan on having a child soon especially when you are applying a student visa . it's a red flag and a no no for the american embassy .

About 20mins drive.........After your arrival at JFK,walk out of the terminal, you will see yellow taxi cabs outside, approach one of them to drop you at La Guardia airport.

Dude you are wrong, re-read VO's post again before placing a bet on your opinion.

This thread here https://www.nairaland.com/3436650/give-birth-usa-cost-procedures is in part 5 now and growing, read and tell me how many pregnant women without complication who were given a visa.

Your chances of getting a visa is higher if you bothered to be honest and tell the VO exactly why you applying for that visa.

20 mins in Newyork with all their traffic... almost impossible . ...also a taxi outside JFK is super expensive as it metered so in taffic the meter will just be running. Ny traffic u cannot predict either

There are those big buses that shuttle between both airports. It best to take the bus because 1. Its cheaper 2. Same price regardless of traffic 3. U know what u paying from begining.

There are several out there but dont know their names off heart.... i saw this on google and it $16 for one way . A taxi depending on traffic can almost be $80
. When booking your ticket leave enough time to go through POE because NY que at the airport you can never predict and also aim to get to LG airport ontime incase the bus service is delayed too.. good thing you have 9 hours . That enough time for any delay

This is not true at all. ..... i know several that were open about going to give birth in the US and were given visa. I actually know a lot, there even a separate thread where people discuss and have seen many comments on how opened they were on their intention

Actually now most people declare it and its noted on the system or else if you are with belle at POE and they pull you out. If its not noted in the system they will turn you back so majorities of the naija women you see giving birth recently in the US declared their intention

Why should a prospective student be pregnant when going for studies In US?How will she cope? And you think the VO will issue such person a visa.
Is she going for studies or child delivery?
