Oga the fuss is not about the EPS, its about the good improvement in the company's fundamentals. And mind you, this is NSE where the price of most stocks do not necessarily correlate with EPS, cheesy
Once again general fundamentals is what causes pricemovement / rally.
Hmm! E be like say u no dey this bus, u wan come badmouth am cheesy

Abeg make I ask, Is there anything wrong with Eterna oil? Its q1 result showed an over 180% increase in profit, with eps of 52k. and a projected year end eps of 220k yet no one seem interested and the share price does not really move despite its free float being just above 500 million. I too done follow dey run from this stock even though I no kw wetin dey pursue us. And even though every stock broker dey call him name.

I don't think anything is wrong here. If fundamentals are right, You don't need to worry about price it would catch up. The question is what is the intrinsic value of the company or perceived value based on future projections.

Typical of this stock. However, consider that the company reported improved margins yoy aside the uptick in revenues too. Looking at the margins again, you would realise the power segment is the main driver making up for the lull in the hospitality segment during the Abuja airport closure. Historical, the hospitality segment was the main cash cow of the group before TUP joined the group. Margins are expected to improve further over the next quarters (usually stronger for the hotel segment). Going forward, the power segment will determine the price valuation. The market considers Power investment an invaluable asset. Same reason the market won't price FO in the same league as MRS (all things being equal).

Cons: non-controlling interest ish
Unpredictability of uncle Tony
Large OS
Power and regulatory issues in Naija

Disclaimer: Remains my personal opinion. I also hold JIJO positions here.
