Don't mention your need to go to US arose from your Nigeria school being on strike if you like yourself. That only shows desperation and frustration which which signifies Ur intend not to come back to Nigeria.

So we think that the Visa Officers don't already know that with most applicants?

The most important thing is for him/her to prove being a genuine student.

I won't do that Tmobile. They start with you at a very low cost, at the end of the month, you pay more than you bargained for. Also, there is $20 reconnection fee on every line you have with them...... They are horrible and with lot of hidden charges.

I have been using TMobile for close to 12years now
3 years prepaid 8yrs + post paid NEVER had my bill tampered with by even a penny.

No provider will jack up your bill if YOU did not do anything outside your contract. If your bill is ever messed with when its not your fault you will always have it reverted.

They are running a business not charity it you do not pay your bills on time it will get cut off its as simple as ABC and you will pay to have it reconnected they tell you this all the time

Even your gas, power, some insurance (home and car) etc it's very normal to pay reconnection fee

Like has been said, you are the one that knows the best answer to the question, one can only offer suggestions.
On the first one, you are currently a university student only your school have gone on interminable strike and you cannot continue to waste precious time waiting for a strike you do not know when it would end. Do not sound frustrated though but rather sound like you are so taken by academics and studies and you can't lose more time.

On the second question, you have to think about the creative things you have done with your time after sec school. Have you volunteered, been employed, done personal business, done some short courses or training etc. Think deep and create a good statement to answer the question.

All the best.

The bold part is true but in the past (just last year) with Tmobile, the initial stated $95/month is never $95/month (provided you stay within the limit of your plan)..... there would be some undisclosed taxes still to pay. This is not the same with Metropcs, a stated $25/month is $25/month (provided you stay within the limit of your plan).

The question here is "which is affordable for a student" not if one can keep to terms or not. Having said that, Metropcs operates on Tmobile network but it differs from Tmobile in the sense that any reconnection is free and you pay less for the same services you'd get from Tmobile.

Yes, it's for family of two. I started using Tmobile since the first week I landed US as a single line for 2.6 years and then change to family (2) plan after I married and used them for over 3 years, making over 5 years total. They are fantastically horrible..... lot of hidden fees, charges and $20 reconnection fee for every line. You can't understand your bill.... You won't know what you're missing until you (established company).
Wow..from my experience,I think they have changed but I dont use them anymore though

The person asking for advise should take note of this,i mentioned/stated an opinion and someone stated the flaw in them. So,ask questions.

But if I were to answer the question I'd say,' i had hope that school would resume and I kept waiting but having wasted a year plus, due to the fear of such an event recurring I chose to apply abroad with the hope of fuithering my studies without much hassles or stress.
Better still, don't tell him all this story. I stayed out 5 years before getting my visa, just prepare, pray and have faith.

Gurus in the house. My sister just saw her waec result and it was awesome. She wants to study nursing and she will start her SAT and TOEFL class tomorrow. Does anyone know if their is scholarship for undergraduate nursing program in any school in usa? Someone said she shud go and spend 2yrs in college first and then transfer to uni after that but I thought of just asking here from people who have the experience. Thank you.

Depending on which state you are going, your best bet is Lycamobile's $19 plan, its cheap and its going to serve you till when you settle and you decide to choose other carrier or plan. The $19 plan comes with 100mb data, unlimited calls and text within the US. You can also call about 60 countries too, but Nigeria is not included. You can only call Nigeria's landline on the $23 plan and higher plans. You can try Tmobile's $27 plan too which comes with unlimited call and text within US but no data, the $45 tmobile plan comes with 3gig data. But if you ask me, Lycamobile's $19 is the way for a new student till you settle and decide to choose any other plan or carrier. You can always port from carrier to carrier within 1day. If you are not driving soon, you don't need to worry about data since most apartment (all utilities included) and schools have wifi you can always connect automatically too.You should order the lycamobile plan on there website and it comes with a free sim, with that one guy in the mall wont scam you to pay activation fee/sim etc. I am always an advocate of do it yourself except the issue requires an expertise you don't have.

Thanks a lot. So even infinix hot note 4 pro is a go

Thank you! The guy has a strong reason to apply for a visa as a transfer student too. It's only a very strict CO that will not knowledge the fact that when a school you study is on strike for more than one year, it's time to look else where.
