I was denied Visa on 26th July being Tuesday at Abuja

And

My Visa was approved On Tuesday being 1st August at Lagos

After the first denial in Abuja, that day I left the embassy with broken heart, I went straight to my hotel room picked my bag and took a cab to GTBank and paid for another visa fee before leaving Abuja. It was a journey filled with tears in my heart and my heart bled all through; I was so weak but I didn't show any sign of weakness. My people were so sad..... Long story......

LAGOS
I got to Lagos on 31st July and I stayed in a friend's house. And I didn't tell my people that I paid for another visa fee and they didn't know I was in Lagos.
I booked Uber that picked me 4:30 on the morning of 1st August. My interview was 7:15am but I got to embassy around 5:11am and had to wait for the verification to start... Fast forward to the interview line. I was directed to the guy at window 9 (I can't vividly remember) he denied 2 people before me; but those guys bleeped up, am sure they were not prepared at all.
Can you please share your Abuja transcript?

I'm really scared of why successful transcripts never emanates from Abuja embassy

Hi.

That's very interesting. I wonder why on earth they would have been denied? Please do you have any clue as to why? What changed between the first time they were denied and the next time they were granted/ It was only a week's difference. This might help others.

Thanks!

There been loads of people even here who went a week later and the outcome was different... that normal . As long as you learn from the experience , refire and correct what ever issue it was

I can ask then for specifics what the issue was the first time but i think it relates to finances so the second time more information regarding how the program was going to be funded was presented .

good afternoon, I went for my visa interview today 07/08/ 6:30am and I was denied, this is the thread of my interview.
Vo: good morning.
Me: Morning (smiling) VO: she asked for my documents
Me: then I passed my I-20 and Passport.
VO: How many schools did you apply for?
ME: I applied to three, East tennesee state university, colorado state university sorry University of Colorad, Boulder and Wright State University.
VO: How many gave you admission:
ME; one, East Tennesse state University (but two gave me, I don't know how I just mistakenly said one).
VO: What Course are you studying Me: Liberal Arts concentration(she cuts in what course?) then I said Gender diversity studies.
VO: Tell me about Gender studies: Me: (I guess this was where I flopped) I started by talking about my sokoto experience as a youth corper where I had my students being married off at a younger age, i could not continue then she stops me.
VO: You have a schorlarship, How did you get it? I got it becuase of my undergraduate academic excellence.
VO: did you apply? Yes, I applied for it, I sent in my transcript for it. VO: did you do GRE: ME:
ME: Yes, I did. VO:
VO: What did you score:
Me: I scored 289.
VO: what university did you attend: I attended the prestigious university of Ibadan.
Then she gave me the blue paper, read what is inside.

*though, I could not find a space to fill the name of my University when I filled my DS-160 form. So it was not reflecting on my ds-160 form
*I want to re-apply again this week, I do I go about it, without having difficulties in scheduling a time.

How was the food? Any delays at the airport? Also, how many luggages did you carry and were you charged for them?

Hello! So sorry for the delay for now.

I will wait for the other gurus to analyze, but I think maybe you could have been clear on what you were going to study. Are you doing a major in gender diversity studies and then a minor in liberal arts?

Also on the DS-160 form, there is most definitely a space to fill in your educational history. Perhaps you should go over the form carefully again.

All the best.

Bro,

From what happened to me, it DOES NOT reflect automatically on their end. I made that same mistake. It takes about 3 business days before the change is reflected by the embassy. I would say call them up to confirm. They are actually quite helpful.

I think you already know your fault....if you are going on a scholarship to ESTU and you cannot answer a basic question on/about the exact course you are going for.... especially when you just said you were given because of academic excellence then that's a major No No

REFIRE and go back showing true academic excellence. Best of luck

ESTU is an interesting school.... i see a lot of funding from there with GRE less than 300.

Be careful on your choice of words .... How is the VO a psycho. In both transcripts you can see even from the write up what went wrong

The best way to learn is to analyse what you done wrong, learn from it and improve on it.

The attutude of thinking its the other person or interviewer that is bad gets you no where .

Thank you all for this...but God takes the Supreme glory.
I must say this; after my failed interview someone picked me up on me not being able to state the course I was doing. For him/her it shows am a liar. Abeg common reason go tell us say someone could be caught cold on anything even to a simple how old are you? Anybody here don experience am? So abeg if you must critcise or castigate someone, please weigh the options as to what could be responsible. Don't hastily jump into emphatic conclusions. That's not wisdom it rather shows your poor depth of thinking.

Keep up the good work fam

Practice practice practice again... Then if you believe in supreme being pray very well.

I actually paid 4 times but on one occasion I couldn't go for interview because of mismatch in the documents numbers (ds and application). I lost that as it repeated itself on my reschedule and didn't have the 3 days grace even though my profile was updated. If you want something intelligently go for it. It will be worth the loss.

New York flights are generally cheap, so I suggest you do this and do a shared van or bus ride to Rhode Island. It's a little over an hour by car and about three hours by bus.

Bon voyage.

Congrats bro.
And I can relate to your last statement. It's very true. Someone called me a "not genuine" student here simply because of the choice of school I picked, when I have 2 friends that got approved on first appearance without any hindrance for same school.
Well, for you it doesn't matter any more what others opinion is. You have your Visa. Go and excel in your chosen field.
God bless.

The airport has one of the most technologically advanced systems for handling baggage, but experts said even these can be disrupted by irregularly shaped or oversized bags, causing jams and delay baggage delivery to aircraft. The 2nd number you were given is correct
Just be patient. You have to listen carefully to all the options. When you first dial the number, choose option 4. From there choose option 2. From there, choose 6. You will then hear a long message. Wait until the end of the message and you will present prompted to choose an option to tall to a service agent.

Buy lots of credit.
