It is possible to transfer as I just did that. I transferred without spending a semester at my current school. I arrived early this month.

Transfer is always possible if you meet the school policy concerning transfer

I was denied Visa on 26th July being Tuesday at Abuja

And

My Visa was approved On Tuesday being 1st August at Lagos

After the first denial in Abuja, that day I left the embassy with broken heart, I went straight to my hotel room picked my bag and took a cab to GTBank and paid for another visa fee before leaving Abuja. It was a journey filled with tears in my heart and my heart bled all through; I was so weak but I didn't show any sign of weakness. My people were so sad..... Long story......

LAGOS
I got to Lagos on 31st July and I stayed in a friend's house. And I didn't tell my people that I paid for another visa fee and they didn't know I was in Lagos.
I booked Uber that picked me 4:30 on the morning of 1st August. My interview was 7:15am but I got to embassy around 5:11am and had to wait for the verification to start... Fast forward to the interview line. I was directed to the guy at window 9 (I can't vividly remember) he denied 2 people before me; but those guys bleeped up, am sure they were not prepared at all.

The VO was with one black lady inside.

VO: Good morning
Me: Good morning (with big confident)

Vo: Tell me where you are going? And why you chose the place?

Me: I'm going to St Cloud State University in Minnesota for Bachelor's Degree in Computer science. I chose the school because they offered me a scholarship that waived part of my tuition and they have an exceptional program which integrates in-class learning with professional and practical learning. Their curriculum is structured in a way students can chose area of specialization like cyber security or software engineering which is what I want to professionalize in. (the lady with the VO interviewing was nodding)

Vo: Cyber security?
Me: I don't know what came over me I laughed and said software engineering and he laughed too.

(Honestly, I don't feel like it's an interview, I felt it's a conversation, I was so free and smiling all through with cool eye contact)

Vo: Tell me about the schools you applied?

Me: I applied to West Liberty University, West Virginia State University, University of the District of Columbia and Morgan State University but I chose St Cloud State University because of their well structured curriculum.

Vo: When did you finish high school?

Me: 2011, "he wanted to ask another question but I was faster than him so I ride on with" After I finish my high school I got admission to do two year National Diploma in Office Technology and Management which I finished in 2014, 2015 I didn't a one year compulsory internship and in 2016 I enrolled in a computer education centre which I did program on Web design using content management system, graphic design, digital marketing and search engine optimization. He cut me

Vo: What is the name of the place you did the program?

Me: I told him

Vo: What do you do now?

Me: Am currently doing an unpaid internship where I tutor high school graduates voluntary on WordPress development and search engine optimization.

VO: What is search engine optimization?

Me: (before he finished pronouncing the optimization) I don dey define the thing like whose lose brake. He was impressed same with the lady because they turn off the mic for me not to hear what they were saying and they were smiling and talking. He turned on the mic and

Vo: Your sponsor is your uncle?

Me: yes

Vo: What does he do?

Me: He is into importation of fabrics and textiles, he also has a farmer. He is into animal husbandry; 'piggery'.

He started typing what I don't know and he was so serious typing it and I started praying on my mind. After typing for like close to 1 min he put hand at the white paper and said I will be approving your visa and he gave me the white paper through that hole I didn't wait for him to finish the rest I zoomed off with a big smile on my face.

All thanks to God and the creator of this forum and to those contributing and sharing transcripts.

@tunnyz7 @teedawg @oludare01@texrem @zealotre @walspring
Thanks guys

My Advice to future applicants:
Be truthful and fill your DS160 yourself and know about your course. And also be bold and confident because that's the key.

Congrats and to God be the glory

Hello everyone,

My name is Temmie, I used to be a Nairaland loyalist years back. This platform helped me greatly regarding my masters application and visa application. My consular visits and prepping were done right on this platform, I promised to give a testimony last year when i got my student visa

Guys i must tell you, God is great and this platform is powerful. Okay, lets cut the long story short.

Pls feel free to ask me any question regarding coming into America for masters.

I got my admission into the university of Bridgeport connecticut, I am currently in my second year and will be rounding up soon.

God bless you guys.

OKAY but you didnt deem it fit to share your Visa transcript, Life isnt like that. If people didnt share all the info you got here, will this platform be helpful to anyone? The least you could have done was to have shared your transcript.

Okiki,
My candid advise for you is to face your business squarely and get yourself enrolled into a part time degree program such UNILAG DLI. Stop indulging in self pity, you lost your mother and so what?. I lost mine forty years ago (in Form Two, JSS II equ.) but qualified as a Chartered Accountant ten years later, at the age of twenty-three.

If you're not careful you'll put yourself into big trouble. Are you that naive? Someone pitied you because you lost your mother, so she'll be taking up the responsibility to educate you "in the abroad". She'll expose her assets to a complete stranger and you don't see that as a bait.
Clearly the humor in the guy's sentence you bolded lost on you.

He chose it, either because it was cheap or had very low entry requirements. One thing is clear, he did not choose a cc because he was interested in seriously studying in school. These are things the VOs read through easily and is why many end up getting denied despite all their wasted fasting and praying.

Bottomline, 99.9% of serious students are not on this thread. These students know exactly what they need to do and start preparing for admissions to top schools over a year in advance. You will never see these folks coming here to ask silly questions like "where can i find schools with free application fee", you will never find them here seeking mock interviews (because they don't have a reason to lie or rehearse), most importantly, you won't find them here panicking about visa appointments scheduled a mere days before classes resume! These smart kiddos already obtained their visas in May/June. All we are left with are the desperados, the unserious and the lazy. To be honest, sometimes it's fun coming here to read and laugh when i have nothing else to do. But of course... "your case is different".
I totally disagree with you choosing to study in a cc doesn't mean you ain't a serious student, I'm currently studying in a cc because It fits into my career goal and also it's cheap for me. I know lot of guys here in the state that comes in with a top uni visa for a Bsc program and later transfer to cc what will you say about them? we all have our opinions why we go for what we want and it's not necessary to keep following a path because everyone goes on that same path set a part that fits into your goals and go for it have a blessed day.

Hello guys.. my second visa interview is on the 17th.
I have prepared answers to some questions I think I would be asked that day. School resumes Sept. 8th and this might be my last shot for this semester.
Pls guys, help analyze, criticise and make possible corrections to it..

Why BYUI?

Of all the schools I applied to, ByuI combines mechatronics, robotics and thermal science as a specialization in mechanical engineering.
And they is an ongoing project I checked into, Super mileage dynanometer. This projects involves us building a dynanometer that mimic the load a car experiences on a road. With this, we can map out engine performance and also help optimize vehicles to avoid break down and accidents. This is really needed in Nigeria.
In addition, students in ByuI are made to live by a honor code that ensures abstinence from alcohol, academic honesty and proper dressing and grooming. This makes me feel safe attending ByuI.

What will this course do for you?

It will help with the technical skills, experience and exposure required to work in a multinational firm like chevron or shell and also help me achieve my goals of one day owning an automotive firm.

What have you been doing since graduation?

I finished highschool in June 2014, then by September 2014, I started a computer training institute, computer gardens. I did this for three months. Then by February 2015, I decided to get practical experience then I started helping out in my dad's plumbing firm. I helped in transporting and fixing pipes, plumbing machines and tools in homes and offices. That's what I have been doing till now.

Why did you apply to only schools in the Midwest?

Its just coincidence. I searched for schools that offered mechanical engineering with great domain for practical learning. Then I came up with these schools.

What is your study plan?

I will be going for my bachelors in mechanical engineering at ByuI. I will be required to take 120 credits in a duration of 48 months. I will be taking courses like parametric CAD, Science foundation, Introduction to engineering. When I graduate, I will return to Nigeria to work for a multinational firm, say shell or chevron.

How did you hear about the school?

I searched for schools that offered mechanical engineering with specialization in mechatronics, using usnews, Princeton review and google.
