Radoillo:There are Igala people at Ossomala, they have the tiniest population of about 0.000001% compared to the natives. |

LadyFiona:I was saying that there are no indigenous Ossomalans who self-identify as Igala today, even though historically a portion of Ossomala (including the ruling lineages) trace their ancestry to Igala. Or are there natives (not recent settlers) in Ossomala today who identify as Igala and communicate primarily in that language? |

Radoillo:Naaaa, they do not identify as Igalas. |

McSterling:No, "OLU'' is an igbo word use to refer to those in riverine area. |
| Re: The Igala People In Anambra State by Klinee: 1:45am On Aug 17, 2015 |
Wel, am from Nzam and i was born and brought up in Nzam. The issue concerning Nzam being bilingual or not. Wel, to be very honest we are bilingual, we speak both igbo and igala fluently. Anybody that was born or grew up in Nzam must be able to understand and speak both languages. The igala we speak is a mixture of ibaji igala and a small portion of igbo. With the mixture it makes it difficult for an average real igala-man nor igbo-man to understand Nzam dialect. But every Nzam person understand both languages. Nzam is mainly of igbo culture than igala culture but mainly igala language than igbo language. |
| Re: The Igala People In Anambra State by McSterling(op): 9:29am On Aug 17, 2015 |
Klinee:But "olu" is also used to refer to our dialect. |
| Re: The Igala People In Anambra State by Klinee: 10:22am On Aug 17, 2015 |
McSterling:"OLU" is kind of being accepted as a dialect by some. Maybe because aguleri and anam people normally refer them as "olu". But literay mean of olu is riverine people. Nzam never and will never accept "Olu" as dialect. |

laudate: laudate:A lie may travel for a thousand miles, but it takes just one step of truth to catch up with it. It's only the weak and leeches that bash other people who in no way have got nothing to do with the mass murder, destruction of means of livelihood, oppression and injustice in the land. laudate, here and now can you post such evidence where prominent Igbo leaders have used propaganda and hate-speeches to cause anarchy in the country? Can you substantiate with facts and figures, in clear terms, how Igbos constitute nuisance in any community? Can you post evidence of Radio Biafra call for unprovoked attacks or genocide on anyone, here and now? In the 90s, the NADECO's unlicensed and inciting Radio Kudirat was hitting the airwaves, did any of your elites condemn it? Before the 2015 general elections, did you condemn the highly inciting Radio Chanji in the North? Ever since you were born, have you seen or heard anywhere Igbos are on rampage, killing people and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause? How many of your elites dare challenge the Hausa-Fulani-Kanuris or Yorubas for their unjust ways? How many of you dare counter the numerous killings and destruction of lives and properties that have been occurring for many decades in the North unabated? You merely turn blind eyes to the wickedness in the country because your kinsmen are rarely affected. But you're quick to point accusing fingers on the Igbos who have been far from power for 50 years. The Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have over the century propagated despicable, hate speeches in their mosques and still execute the unconscionable, cold-hearted waste of human lives and reckless destruction of means of livelihoods in the North and Middle-belt. And they now have the presidency while the backstabbing Yorubas vice-presidency! Such a misnomer can only happen in the jungle! A number of Yorubas even go to the extent of carrying wicked lies about how Hausa-Fulani-Kanuri people have been peace-loving and accommodative; that it's the Igbos that always provoke their hosts in the North warranting the pogrom and other heinous crimes against the Igbos. Yet in the same North and the Middle-belt the Christian minorities and other Southerners are maltreated, relegated to the background and even killed. You say that Igbos are arrogant, and that they don't respect their hosts while you subtly proclaim that the Hausa-Fulanis are peace-loving and accommodative. You don’t like Igbos but you still fought and killed them to be in this fraudulent union with verm1ns, where parasitic ingrates are favoured by the injustice, inequity and lopsided arrangement in the polity. And your people even had the effrontery to castigate Igbos for seeking a self-determination! Mister, it's wrong for you to make frivolous statements because you do not like the Igbo man. Though you may be bitter and angry for the unequal exploits and audacity of the Igbos, it's absolute wicked to spread baseless propaganda! Many of you hold the view that Igbos should be grateful for being allowed to live in their part of the country, in the same 'One Nigeria'! You say Igbos disrespect and denigrate their host when Igbos choose to exercise their franchise right. And you don't seem to see anything wrong in Oba Akiolu's threat to drown Igbos in the Lagos lagoon if they fail to vote for his anointed candidate! The same threat was backed by many Yorubas including Dr Ariyo in the US who even called for genocide. But here you are, pointing accusing fingers on the Igbos for daring to stand against the injustice in the land and seeking self-determination. And some of you mischievously term it 'chest beating' or 'disrespect'. And if Igbos do not stand and speak for themselves, people like you will still find a way of accusing them of not doing enough to market themselves; that nobody is going to do it for them. Igbos are wiser! There's oil in Anambra, Abia, Enugu and Imo. The whole of Enugu and Anambra States are sitting on Gas deposits and gas has more value than oil; Coal at Enugu, Lime stone for cement in Abakaliki; rice in Ebonyi State, Abia State - highest producer of cocoa; West Africa's largest market at Onitsha, Anambra; big markets at Aba, Abia state and Nnewi, Anambra. Even without reliance on crude oil the Igbos have excelled and are more than ever before capable of doing more exploits and competing with the World powers! I don't blame you for not being objective and sincere! I blame this forced union under which you and your folks hide to propagate falsehoods and had the audacity to do so. IGBOS HATE NOBODY EXCEPT YOU ARE A SWORN ENEMY TO TRUTH, JUSTICE AND EQUITY. At the 2015 presidential election Igbos only exercised their franchise right just like other tribes. If Igbos are the promoters of hate in Nigeria, can anyone tell us any instance where Igbos go about causing mayhem, killing and destroying means of livelihoods for no just cause? It's only mischievous bigots in the society that turn blind eye to the evil and injustice, and permit the atrocities to flourish in the land because they gain from the lopsided arrangement in the polity. GENESIS OF HATRED IN NIGERIA 1* “We do not want our Southern neighbours to interfere in our development. We have never associated ourselves with the activities of these people. We do not know them, we do not recognize them, and we share no responsibility in their actions. We shall demand our rights when the time is ripe. If the British quit Nigeria now at this stage, the Northern people would continue their uninterrupted conquest to the sea”. - Sir Tafawa Balewa (1947) 2* “We the people of the North will continue our stated intention to conquer the South and to dip the Koran in the Atlantic ocean after the British leave our shores.” - Sir Ahmadu Bello (1957) 3* "The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grand father, Othman Danfodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use minorities in the North as willing tools and South as conquered territories and never allow them to rule over us or have control over their future" - Sir Ahmadu Bello, October 12, 1960 Ahmadu Bello, arrogantly uttered the aforementioned statement in a multicultural and multi-religious country and got away with it, and many bigots still hold him in high esteem and even shove it down the throats of other people. 4* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WSosECbcmM 5*...barely six months after independence, Sir Ahmadu Bello was able to say with confidence in the Daily Times of May 3, 1961, the following: “I’m set and fully armed, to conquer the Action Group, AG, in the same ruthless manner as my grandfather conquered Alkalawa, a town in Sokoto province, during the last century.” 6*...sometime in 2010, when upon the demise of President Umaru Y'Ardua, indications emerged that his erstwhile deputy, President Goodluck Jonathan, may contest the 2011 presidential election, a prominent chieftain of this same ACF, Lawal Kaita, who was a former Governor of old Kaduna State, threatened that the North would make Nigeria ungovernable, should Jonathan or anyone from the South win the 2011 presidential election, claiming that such would amount to denying the North it's birthright of ruling Nigeria. 7* It is in the same North barbaric statements like this were uttered in 2011: ”BABOON AND DOG WILL BE SOAKED IN BLOOD”. And what was the outcome - carnage and murder of many Southerners and Christians in the North, including many Youth Corps members when Buhari lost the 2011 presidential election? 8* That true to that threat, upon the victory of Jonathan from the 2011 presidential election, massive violence was unleashed from the North by a group which called itself Boko Haram and which repeatedly took responsibility for unending mayhem which began with the killing of Youth Corp members who worked ad-hoc for INEC in that election. 9* As the barbaric killings and destructions reigned, especially with the attack by Boko Haram on the UN Building and Force Headquarters in Abuja, the Lower Niger Congress publicly posited that the nexus between the aforementioned threat by ACF's, Lawal Kaita and the Boko Haram's bloody campaigns summarily destroyed any prospects for keeping the Nigeria Union. 10* "It was, therefore, no surprise that in October 2013, following the bold announcement by President Jonathan, presenting the sudden prospect of revisiting the master-servant constitutional arrangements of Nigeria infuriated the warmongering born-to-rule Caliphate whose cause was championed by the same ACF, and who, supported by their allies from the renegade wing of the Yoruba Southwest, launched a vicious, frontal attack on the initiative, teaming on the floor of the Conference into a majority, and driving the Conference into its first major decision, i.e. NOT TO DISCUSS THE TERMS OF NIGERIA'S UNITY. The rest of the Conference was a jamboree that provided a luxurious platform for the North/SW Alliance, parading itself as a new political party named APC, to fine-tune their violent March to the do-or-die 2015 general elections." 11* Oba of Lagos Threat on Igbos Over 2015 Governorship http://expressng.com/2015/04/video-oba-rilwan-akiolu-threatening-igbos-in-lagos/ Oba Rilwane Akiolu of Lagos to Igbos - Vote APC or Perish: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87u255UM6Ro |

xtrorse:Ò ̣bù ̣etu à kà o bēlụ? Everyone knows you are the one that keeps cutting and pasting the same skewed, flawed rhetoric ad nauseum on many threads. The lies being peddled on this thread have been done by you, but in your neurotic mind, such lies and falsehood represent a pattern of so-called 'truth' to you. Only a deluded individual like you would subscribe to such a notion. ![]() Evidence of Radio Biafra recycling hate-filled speeches was posted to counter your claims in another thread, including the previous thread deleted yesterday. But as usual, your myopic eyes failed to read and comprehend it. Chukwu Nnà, bikō zọpùṭa ānyị n’aka ndị niiìṇ e nā-akpọ ānyị asì! It is so obvious that you are the unobjective and insincere one! Did you even bother to go through this other thread? https://www.nairaland.com/2408743/nigerians-should-ignore-hate-messages And the issue of Radio Biafra's inciting and hate-filled messages that was also re-posted elsewhere and dealt with on another thread: https://www.nairaland.com/2582791/over-100-biafra-separatists-arrested/2#down dmater: laudate: laudate:War veterans from different parts of the SouthEast and in the Diaspora have threatened to pull out from Nigeria if their benefits were not paid. They issued the threat at Hill Top Ngwo, near Enugu where they gathered to commemorate the May 30 anniversary of Biafran fallen heroes. Speaking at the event, Executive Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu regretted the nonpayment of benefits due to Biafran soldiers saying “it is a continuation of the same injustice that led them to try to extricate themselves from this Lugard creation called Republic of Nigeria”.Kindly note that Nnamdi Kanu said it clearly: "We come in peace, but we bring hell with us. If there is no Biafra this place will be completely destroyed. Everything will die here or they give us Biafra...." Do Not Be Provoked To RetaliatePeople were attacked in the North by Hausa-Fulani miscreants and almajiris. While the Igbo were victims of the riots in the sixties up North which led to the civil war, the Urhobo, Ibibio, Edo and other Southern ethnic groups in addition to the Igbo, fell prey to the miscreants who did not discriminate in their attacks during riots, from the seventies onwards. But instead of directing your anger against the Hausa-Fulani on www.gamji.com or any other Northern-dominated website, you come to NL owned by a Yoruba man to direct your venom against Yoruba people, other Southerners and various ethnic groups. How blind can a person be? In your blindness, you fail to recognise that other ethnic groups have even been victims, yet you continue to vilify them for your woes. ![]() The day anyone will take you seriously, is when you take out a full-page advert in Northern owned media to castigate them to their faces. Or are you expecting me to take up arms against them on your behalf?? Why not go directly to the Northern-owned media to launch these your long epistles against them! Face the Hausa-Fulani squarely, instead of being their mouthpiece! You kill your message with your double-faced actions. On one hand, you are blaming the Northerners, on the other hand you are acting as their mouthpiece by recycling their inciting statements. How unstable. Leave other ethnic groups including the minorities out of your diatribe against the North, and stop blaming every other major and minor ethnic group for your woes!! Is that so hard to do? Last word: The Sardauna of Sokoto is dead. His dreams died with him. Same thing happened to Tafawa Balewa. And people have long moved on,since then. Those with rational minds, know that hate is like poison to the soul. So they jettison it, and move ahead to build a future worthy of emulation. Get rid of the hate in your soul. It kills. |

... As for the Oba of Lagos threatening to throw Igbo that did not vote into the lagoon, your Eze Ndi'Igbo in Lagos and other members of your ethnic group were in attendance. What did they do when they heard that threat?? ![]() ThisDay:This is the last time I will dignify any of your comments with a response as long as this, because honestly it is obvious that your mind is warped and you need deliverance to think or act in a normal manner. Hi everyone! Please can anyone who is familiar with anambra west (aguleri, otuocha and those anambra towns bordering river niger up to kogi state) tell me if there is any motorable road from Aguleri to Ankpa. Please don't post misleading info, if u are not very sure don't reply. Given the deplorable condition of Onitsha-Enugu road, I want to find alternative routes from Onitsha to Ankpa that can entirely bypass 9th mile and obollo afor nsukka. Thanks for any useful info. Origin is origin all I know am a full blooded oma igala nobody can take it from me As for nzam and igbo community in Anambra well it's ok for them to be there but they should always pay homage to attah of igala always Igala is a very good tribe |

I realy dont care but I know Igala dominated Ibo before white man arrived. Igala believed in Kingship and had dynasties, Ibo did not. They did not have to since they were serfs under Igala dominion. The issue of rulership was somebody else's headache and so they cared less about it but enjoyed the security provided by Igala to ward off enemies. |
