You spoke some truth. But I wish things were exactly as how you said it. But then life is not fair.

90% of the times when you ask a lady the attributes she wants in a man, you will see amongst others, "he must be God fearing"! But what baffles me in actuality is that a lot of them do not act accordingly.

It leaves me wondering if they have a totally different meaning to God-fearing. I know a guy who tried to live to his dream lady's expectation of being a God-fearing young man. He goes to church always and tells the lady, he always talk about the Bible. He doesn't talk about Sex or like things. But at the end, the lady abandoned him for a guy who didn't really care much about church or related things.

Even slay queens are not left out of desiring a God-fearing man yet you see their lifestyle saying completely opposite.

Ladies maybe you can let us understand what you mean when you say, "I need a God-fearing man"!

If there is also a limit to how God-fearing your man can be, please what is it.

To say 1 needs a Godfearing spouse is very sweet in the mouth but how many people who say this are Godfearing themselves? Let's be honest with ourselves, the fear of God is nearly extinct in the world today especially in Nigeria. If we feared God, the many evils carried out daily wouldn't be heard of. People wouldn't try to do anything that can harm their neighbours. People would not cut corners or exploit others under the guise of being 'sharp' or 'smart'. All those atrocities we think we are getting away with because no one can see us would cease because a Godfearing person knows that God sees & knows all;nothing is hidden from Him. A Godfearing person lives with the consciousness that any moment, his/her soul can be demanded for by God & he/she would stand before Him & give account of everything he/she did while on earth hence someone who fears God wouldn't want to do anything that displeases God because sin gives him/her no pleasure & if he/she mistakenly falls, he/she immediately humbly beseeches God for mercy with a contrite spirit & a broken heart. A person who fears God lives to please Him above other people or things whether family, friends or loved ones. If asked to rebel against God for any of their sakes, he/she would rather choose God over them. A Godfearing person is the individual who denies oneself, pick up his/her cross & follows Jesus daily, giving his/her life as a living sacrifice to God. So ladies & gentlemen, if you don't fall into this category, i don't think you fear God & you shouldn't desire a Godfearing spouse because it is written that an ox & a mule shouldn't be yoked to pull the same plough. Marriage is work;very serious, hard work & if the 2 parties lack the same purpose, they shouldn't come together in the first place. My 2 cents.

Don't mind him, she was pant for him. It was at that point that he now ran back to his pastor, yeye-church-boy wey dey go church and still dey camp babe dey kpansh steady! Na there dey reset his brain. Unfortunately for the girl, our guy picked up quite nicely and is even married to another one of his old flames in US right now. She came to the country for their traditional and she even assisted our friend with his own son that he'd previously had out of wedlock for visa processing too. They're both out there with her now.

But, the pregnant yeye-girl ended up, eventually getting, tricked by her baby-daddy and is running around Lag peddling her overflogged puccy as an inhouse-olosho on-call-duty for mugu guys.

It's quite simple, God fearing is just another way of saying won't cheat on me or doesn't want to use me and dump me. Going to Church or reading the Bible doesn't really play that much role in this so called God fearing quality. In fact I think some them actually think Church goers are dull, case in point your example here.

Sometimes it could be a mixed feeling. But the God fearing man those ladies mean is a morally sound man. It's beyond being religious. Though most of them can't explain in details, but this is the answer.

A morally sound man won't cheat, because he doesn't like cheating, he won't beat a woman. He is morally developed. They use the term ''God-fearing'' because, religion teach people and encourage them to bear those virtues for the fear of God, however, not all religious people have them.

Ladies percieve them. That is why, a lady looking for the so-called 'God-fearing' man may turn down a pastor because they didn't percieve these virtues that are seemingly the attributes of God.

Ladies should be more definite about what they want in a partner. They should define their man in terms of virtues for the sake of clarity, using ''God-fearing'' is vague.
And they should posses virtues also.

Parenthood is key and a "developed" father who does not abdicate his responsibilities in the face of hardship builds children who are resilient, capable of original thoughts and more likely to exceed the legacies of their parents.. teach the child and the will not depart from your ways.. spare the rod; spoil the child.. that sort of .iiish
