Aiye , both university of abedeen and RGU are in aberdeen , aberdeen to the best of my knowledge is a multicultural city with lots of businesses and opportunities . Northern Scotland on the otherhand is almost rural and occupied by mainly Scottish folks with fishing and agricultural as their main occupation. Did you attend or intend to attend any university in Scotland ?
I have attended one in Scotland. Good luck to everyone still waiting for their visas.

Please guys, I have been refused visa to the US. But I got a scholarship to a UK school. The scholarship body says we should apply for priority service. However, I learnt tgat for those who have been refused visa before to countries like Australia, us and uk, ought not to apply for priority service, I have laid my concern to my sponsor and they asked me to go ahead with the priority service. If I don't apply for the priority service, I will likely not meet up with my school start date but I'm trying to be very careful to avoid a uk visa rejection. Please gurus in the house, would I be rejected if I apply for priority service? And if I do will I be rejected?

You won't be rejected once you can clearly state why you were rejected the US visa. Applying for Tier 4 visa using priority service at this peak period, can't really guarantee you, a faster service. As I and several others applied since the first week of August with priority but still no decision made yet. Goodluck with yours tho.

BasDost:
Good morning @justwise. I have read all of the posts on this thread, literally from the first of 200+ pages. All I can say it has supplied me with more than sufficient information that will able acquire a study visa to the U.K. I have one enquiry to make please, and I hope you will give me an appropriate answer.

I obtained an ATAS certificate for my MSc programme in late July. While going through the course details on the university website recently, I found out that the modules for the programme have been updated. There has been an increase from 6 to 8 modules (and obviously there was a little change in the name of one of the already existing modules). The problem here is that only the 6 modules prior to the update are shown on my ATAS certificate, hence it will be like 2 have been omitted.

I emailed the postgraduate admissions office of my school and they said that won’t be a problem. My concern is whether the visa office will notice and penalize me for such a discrepancy. As I am most likely going to apply for a visa when some things are sorted out in the next two weeks, do you think I should inform the visa office about that mistake during my interview? Or should I just keep mum about it since it is a negligible and non-deliberate mistake? The school kept saying that the modules listed on the ATAS certificate are okay and there is no problem at all.

Thank you. I look forward to your reply, and the beneficial input of any other follower of this thread.

I believe your UNI should know best than anyone here. There won't be a problem since they have said it.

Make sure those other stuff are sorted soon enough and apply, because delay could be dangerous.

If you don't get any feedback as per your decision today/tomorrow, I think you should call them but note that the contact staff might or might not have the info yet because my own GWF number is still not recognized on the tracking site.
But I just got a decision mail from TLS. TLS site updated to decision made. I'm awaiting the collection mail. Nothing from Sheffield.
Online submission: July 16
Biometrics and interview: July 19 at TLS Ikeja

Super priority has a decision timeline of 24 hours but costs £919 so no surprises there.

Good day all,,
I am new here.
@justwise and all the gurus in the house I need answers please.
I submitted my application and did biometrics on the 10th of July alongside my children for dependant visa.Tier 4 visa.
Called ukvi on the 2nd of August and was told it will be escalated.
Sent a mail on the 21st and they replied saying an escalation was raised on the 7th of August.
that I should give them 15 working days from the 7th.
This morning I got a mail from tls that a decision has been made.
I quickly checked the ukvi website to track which day the decision was made but to my surprise,it's still showing reference number not recognised.
I am really worried, does it mean my application wasn't granted?
How come it didn't reflect on their website that a decion has been made?
Has anyone one found themselves in this situation before, what was the outcome of the visa?
Somebody hellp me here please.
