You should also go to the TLS centre you did your biometrics to fill the withdrawal form. Please I need to understand some issues concerning UK visa application
I have been to the uk before for a professional course that last 2 weeks Scotland.
Now I intend applying for a 2 years visa with an invitation from my friend in Liverpool.
Please what document does he have to send to me?
What document do I need to provide?
What centre should I apply from, I mean Ikeja or VI?
The last time I travelled I applied from VI this was 2014 and student visit visa for 6months and now I was hoping to apply for a 2 years at thesame VI office when I discovered they now charge extra 75USD. I have search and search for info concerning this extra charges, I couldn’t find anything.
N300k monthly is what i make and i have N600 TO N900k on my account and took a loan of 1m with document from my company show show for it. but its not for traveling just have some project i am handling.
i intend spending just N500k or less.


please justwise advice me and check for any mistake. fees for 2years UK Visa is alomst N200k now...
USD 458 PLUS EXTRA USD 75 = USD 533 = N196K

whats the difference in visa centres ikeja and VI

I stand to be corrected. I have never heard of an embassy allowing applicant to keep their passport until a decision is made. If you're eager to get a decision same day, pay of 24 hours service. Haba

Ekpotek, what about the US visa process? This rubbish doesn't happen because you take your passport with you to an interview and in most cases, a decision is made immediately. After that, max one week and your passport is back in your possession.

Just to be clear, I believe if an embassy says decision time is 15 working days for a PAID service, then people have every right to be angry. An apology email doesn't cut it. In fact, they should be sending complaints to the Home Office and threaten to sue.

Please ekpotek stop defending them, it is irritating.

They give a 15 working day window and say if your application won't be met within that time they will contact you. Have you asked why some people get their decisions within the timeframe and some others under the same circumstances (different complexities of applications though) get theirs very late

What about Holland (the Netherlands)? You can't get a visa at their high commission anywhere in Nigeria now. You have to go to French Embassy or so...

What about Nigeria House in London? It took me 3 months to get my passport renewed after biometrics, as they were out of stock on passport booklets. Should I go and sue the Nigerian Govt?

My friend's UK visa application was noted bt TLSContact as "Application Transferred to Embassy" 14th July 2017 and on the 19th of July 2017 we got another notification from VISAINFO.SHEFO@fco.gov.uk that "Your online application has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer." All has been silent from the British Empire since then.. not a single word.. has anyone experienced such long periods of silence on a visa application? does it take that long for a Clearance Officer to make a decision and have the passport sent' back?

What are the likely consequences of a request to withdraw the application and have the passport sent back? there is another pending trip which requires the passport.

My brother, just keep checking. Once a decision is made it will show decided. We have seen people here that got decision after 2 months of biometrics, we have seen people with shorter duration and if I remember well someone said he applied since May or so and is yet to get a decision. It also depends on the class of visa you applied for.

Delay during this period (June, July and August ) is always there for a UK visa... because a lot of applications are been processed at the same time .... it is summer, student are going back to school by September, a lot of people are visiting.

Did you get in the content of your mail that application not straightforward ? and secondly what was it standard application processing you choose or priority or super-priority

I am sorry dude. Things has changed. That is why UK visa is the most expensive in the world! However, if you have proof that applicants passports are sitting at the various incountry embassy for a visa sticker please provide such.

Have you got an evidence that passport are moved too? I repeat no one will move millions of passports from different country of the world down to UK and have it muddled up together,have you thought about the logistics of moving them? how about warehousing while in possiof UK authority? how about those who are gonna do the sorting? If moving passports abroad as you asserted,of what importance is keeping their embassies and high commission around the globe?
High cost of visa has nothing to do with movement,so many factors dictate that,the reciprocative agreement between nations.I.e if naija charges £200 for one year multiple entry visa,expect uk to charge the same or something close to that.....Are u saying the US that charges #66k for visa also moves passports?

Hubby need to prove that he truly runs a business and the best way to do that is to have all the CAC documents intact,if business reg documents is less than a year you might not necessarily need a tax clearance,but VAT certificate or TIN id printed directly from FIRS portal can stand in leu of Tax clearance that is IF BUSINESS IS LESS THAN A YEAR
