1. A mother of five in my compound once said to one of her children....take this money go and cut your head for babber place.

2. One day I was on my own discussing with a friend suddenly one little boy appeared from no wear (panting heavily) looked at us and said WHERE IS AM! WHERE IS AM! I nearly died of laughter.

Nigeria is a multilingual community and the major problem with expressing oneself in another language that isn't your LI(that is first language) is the problem of transference of lang.structures from the L1 to L2 which is the norm for most Nigerians.
Transference of structures from Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa etc to English.

"i have 3 daughters,they are all girls", all those in the middle,"move to the centre".

back then in sec school:
1."must you eat for class"
2."equiliment instead of equilibrium"
3."...pass with frying colours"
4."come here before i after you"
5."you deserve for cane"

thats ebonics - our own version of you folks call pidgin. and btw we have the biggest vocabulary among any other native English speaking country.

Brah, that's black American ghetto way of speaking. Think of it as their own pidgin english. If you notice, it's mostly Blacks , Hispanics in the slumps that speak that way.
