Hey,
How does floating a bond result to islamizing a nation?

Sukuk Bond is an investment product target at certain group of investors. It is a choice, and you are not under any obligation to invest.

Western world that brought this religion to us don't do it this way - reasons for their growth. To Educate you, UK has an Islamic Bank, different ethical/islamic investment products and heaven does not fall.

Religious Bigotry and Ethnicity are the major problems hindering the growth of this country.

Please seek for knowledge and think for yourself. Don't be deceived by Religious leaders (Alfa, Imam, Clergy Pastors, Traditional Rulers et.c) or Political leaders.

You shout the same fear on the introduction of Islamic banking system into the country, you are already benefitting from it without converting to Islam.

They have started again with their irrational hatred and blackmail against anything about Islam or Muslims to the point of foolishness.
They forgot that Islamic Banking was initiated by no other than Charles Soludo, a Christian; and that Islamic Banking is practised all over Europe and America without Islamising the countries involved.
Is sukuk and Islamic banking being forced on any citizen of this country and not a matter of choice of the individual?

Why does CAN feel that it has the right to deny what is legitimate to Nigerian Muslims (interest free banking/transactions) and impose on them what is forbidden (taking of interest) according to their religion?
What part of the constitutions is being violated and why can't they therefore sue the government and have the court overturn such decision (if true) instead of spreading hate and misinformation on the pages of newspaper to further divide the ppl?

CAN should note that since the take off of Islamic Banking, at least one the banks JAIZ has recorded a significant patronage from Christians (as borrowers and depositors) attracted by its relative low cost of borrowing and high returns on investment.

Must CAN be headed by stupid people? He should propose the equivalence of this in Episcopal, instead of lamenting like a dog.

You can't hear them do anything to improve lives cos they can't, all they do is competing with Islam and Muslims. When Christian states benefitted from Islamic banking via loan, you won't see these thieves in cassock speak.

We've been hearing the cry of islamization since '86 and, we still have Christians in Nigeria.

Quite on the contrary, you are the one along with CAN who are apparently delusional and out of touch with the true realities on the ground.

Pls kindly explain how Sukuk is bad simply because Osun State took out (an interest free) loan that it supposedly cannot pay back; why should the loan therefore be blamed for the state's apparent financial recklessness?
Would it not have been a worse scenario had the state taken out a loan with full interest - how absurd and quite silly?

Religion has become the blindfold of the modern day Nigeria especially the CAN can of worm.
It is unfortunate that anything being carried out to benefit the the entire country in term of development by the present administration is always seen as Islamization just because the President is a Muslim .
Has any Muslim ever termed a similar attempt by the Jonathan Administration to look for a way of getting fund for development ever been termed christianization?.
I wish the CAN President could ask BRITAIN what SUKUK Islamic bond has done for the UNITED KINGDOM especially during the last Administration of David Cameron, as far back as 2013 the then British Prime minister has secured a total sum of £200 million pound sterling to under take various projects in Britain.
Hear him, Cameron, "That Islamic finance system is a good investment that have soared by 150% in the last seven years and are expected to rise to £1.3 trillion in the coming year".
For those who are in London or have visited London will see how this Islamic finance interest free system has helped in the bringing up of some London icons, a good example is the Chelsea Barracks Harrods and the Olympic village all in the U K.
Cameron even said he was happy to become the first non Muslim country to lunch SHARIA bond system .
With all these that SUKUK has done in Britain has it caused Britain to be Islamized or has it changed the position of the BISHOP of CANTERBURY. and this is also happening in many none Islamic states in the world without being branded Islamized . On the basis of this, CAN should stop dividing country along the religious line and let the country's project development systems take its course.

it is very difficult to correct a religious person that has been brainwashed on not to think deeply on the loan all these Apc governors took. Let me hint you a little bit here. Sukuk loan bond has been hooking the governors neck, now upon it is interest free loan, it is very difficult for them to pay up the loan. Its remained 12 months for ogbeni to complete his tenure, still he hasn't fulfilled his promised to his people. Upon the collection of the bond, there are series of uncompleted projects scattering around the osun state but still you are saying that is good for ogbeni to collect that loan. What am just afraid of is that the next governor that will succeed ogbeni is going to face series of debt too.

how is it watery. Kindly explain to me how it is watery hmmm. Sukuk bond they collect so far has been hocking their neck. They collects all this loans in order for them to start white elephant projects. But still it hasn't yield any fruits. Uncompleted projects scattering around their state. The osun state governor that first collect the loan has compound more problem to his successor. The debt profile of the state is huge. It is only God that will help us from them.

am asking with the one they have took, what have they used it for. they took the sukuk bond to create more problems to the state. They took this bond in order for them to start white elephant projects that didn't see the light of the day. Sukuk bond hasn't has any effect in the economy but only create more problems to the state. The one that will succeed ogbeni in osun state will have to work well in order for him to pay up the sukuk bond he borrowed.

Your reasoning is so flawed its unbelievable; so you think the Sukuk is to be blamed for the governor's inability or unwillingness to pay back the loan - how ridiculous can you be?

Now, assuming that the Sukuk was not available; don't you think the governor would have taken the more expensive interest dependent conventional loan and therefore be in even more trouble?

My friend, your brain needs restting - honestly.

A loan without interest is bad?
is that what u're telling me?
Is the loan without interest the reason why osun is in debt?
I can bet my last kobo on it,the percentage of Christians vying for the loan will be higher than that of the Muslims.
