You don't have to wait. Just go ahead, fill the form and schedule for an appointment. IVs are not really important anymore unless they are high profiles.

Yes, if you want to save it and schedule for your appointment later. Without visa fee, however, you cannot book an appointment with the consulate for interview. You need a code.

Be that as it may. A job isn't the only tie needed for a visa. Housewives still get visas. Evaluate yourself objectively. Your husband ,what does he do? Are u guys relatively ok? If yes. Apply and be honest. Though personally I would prefer if u have prior travel history. That's me o!

I had been refused Canada visa twice and now wish to put in for the U.S DS-160 visa for just a 10days vacation, but just got told in view of the Canada refusals, i stamd 80% chances of being refused the U.S visa as well. Pls "IS THIS TRUE?

My family visa was granted today by a lady in window 2. The transcript was as follows:

VO: Ok the first must be 11 or 12 while the second shld be 9 years
Me: correct. 11 and 9 (interview became informal.)

Me: i am taking the kids to Disney World in Florida.(make use of opportunity to put kids forward)

Me: i am blablabla in blabla company at blablabla
VO: what is your job role.
Me: i told her until she asked another question

She: sure, i am a proprietress of sososo gov. Approved nursery and primary school at sososo place.

Sir, Yesterday, it was 7days family vacation, today it's 10days. Settle down, read through this thread, pick up the points that help you, weigh your circumstances and your ties, and those of each one of your family members that want to travel. Then decide whether it is the right time to apply or not. (What are ties? Read the thread and you will see many examples of ties as well as how to present/explain them in the visa interview.)

If your concern is that great, perhaps the time is not ripe to apply. But only you know your circumstances very well and the Ties, ties, ties and ties you have to Nigeria (or the country you are applying from).

Don't fall for tickets are cheaper in the US. You may be caught in between a credit scam. I have seen two cases in one month.

1. You can apply for an Immigration visa, to anywhere you want to go, with such amounts in your account, you can afford the choice.

First. Misrepresenters get visa. Yes. The reputation is harmed but we have read transcripts where finally folks who lied in the past got visas.

Second. I have learnt to never say never. I have been here long enough to see stuff I didn't expect. Take for example, the lady doing her masters without any apparent tie. I was surprised she got a visa.

Finally. It is my opinion that God controls everything.
However that is not an excuse to be indolent in research or misrepresent and expect a miracle. I believe that he who comes to equity must do so with clean hands.

@Jw crap happens. I know. So much crap have I seen. But I still just believe. Suicide bombers did their thing. Judas did his thing. Whenever I wonder, I just remember the scripture, " the Lord sits in heaven and doeth as He pleases" .

You guys misunderstand me. My brand of advice is usually devoid of religion. I always advocate for walking within the ambits of the law.
However, my point is: God is supreme over all. ( For me)
And nobody should think it's ok to break the law and hope for a miracle.
At least AbujaNIV confirmed what I was trying to say. Credibility is shot. Visa chances are reduced. But still possible.

1A. I just checked the website, something feels fishy about it, did you make any payments for registration or the visa letter?
1B.how did you come to know about them?
2. Me thinks the VO can't "merge" being a dentist and the word "research" - probably thinking, can a dentist be a researcher?
3. I think you should explain much better how as a dentist, you can also do research, in addition to being a dentist.
4. If there is still time before the program starts, reapply and explain
- how as a dentist, you can also do research
- how this research (and presentation) is relevant to your field

Most times, consulate officers want to see that you traveled out and yet returned, even though "you had the decision to misuse" your visa..... But you came back,coz you have the power to decide as you have already attained the" age of accountability" then you could be trusted.....
But in this case you were still young
