Hello Adeneyagrofeeds -

Yes. You will need a new passport before you travel though. You can travel with the valid visa in your old passport together with a new passport. You must have a passport with at least 6 months of validity to enter the United States.

Adeneyagrofeeds:
Plz house, can USA issue visa on passport with 3 month validity? I booked my appointment and filled my D's form already. Interview is Jan 2018 and I have 6months on it right now. Help a friend pls

No they won't allow you go in with your wife except in an extraordinary case...
If she's not the only one on the trip she should include the travel companion.

Good day house, please I need an honest advice. My family was denied a visit visa to the United State of America in July 2016. So, we reapplied and was still denied this October 2017.

The same information I used in our earlier ds 160 was still maintained since there wasn't any cooked up info.

Want to ask what might be the issue, can we still reapply and how soon?

Please I need an honest advice from you guys.

Thanks.

Hello house, I greet u all.

My family intend to visit a family friend in US this December. Our invitation letter has been sent to us via email.

Our host also wants to send a copy of the invitation letter to US or its embassy in Nig.

My question.

Please is there any organization in US where he should send a copy of the invitation letter informing them of our visit or should he write to the US embassy in Walter Carrington, Lagos OR the one in Abuja?

I'm in Lagos and wish to have my interview here in Lagos.

Thank you

You almost had the visa. Firstly the fact that you were not born before your invitee traveled to States does not mean that you should not know how your invitee get to States. You did not do your homework very well. Always know as much info as possible about your invitee or host before going for interview. It pain me because the VO was about to issue you the visa but you did not convince her enough that you really know anything about your invitee. Secondly you work, your earn salary and you still want your invitee to take care of all your expenses overthere, ha ba. You miss the visa as a result of that two reasons. It really pain me you denied yourself the visa not the VO that denied you!!!

You gave the two main reasons he was denied, honestly, but to buttress your point also, 2 years in service, the VO would have taught that he doesn't have much on him, and he may decide to stay " if the invitee is willing to finance the trip, then he should be willing to accommodate him"
I just feel so

I'm scheduled for 7th Of November 7:30am interview at Abuja. I'm a final year student going to see my cousin who has been my backbone in school without seeing me in person, finally she wants me to come for Christmas holidays and new year so she will get to see whom she has been paying school fees for. She's a citizen, born and brought up there with 2kids, I really want to see this my aunty, she's so nice and I wouldn't want interview to screw my chances of playing nice boy to her so she will be happy her money didn't waste while training me,

Am suppose travel 13th of December and return 27th of Feb if granted, abeg my people what are my chances because I have been following this thread since and hearing people saying 'ties' me I don't have any tie, I'm a full time blown student, never travelled before neither worked anywhere,

Advice me pls, because I filled in my form 'Student' as honest answer, and I'm 24yrs old, is there any problem on my own case? Advice me pls everybody here both small and big, I need your advice, dont forget to add your prayers for me behind

Thank you for the advice. I know that invitation letters are not asked from Applicants in most cases. Even so, my host to be wants to send an IV to the US govt.

My question is

1. Should it be sent to Abuja or Lagos?
or
2. Any other approved US govt Agency in USA?

Anyone who have an idea of anything like this should please tell me. I am aware that they don't ask for Invitation letter from applicants, however in this case my host to be wants to send a copy to them

Your interview is more important than the invitation letter.... You can decide to address it to any of the consulate but it doesn't carry any weight....

With an invitation letter you can still be denied.
I repeat focus on your interview

hello house, please i need your advice : I applied in August 2017 to attend my dad's birthday organised by my elder sister though we don't bear same surname because she is married but denied... I bought another MVR, cancelled my interview because the bigger boys crossed us while traveling and stole my bag containing my laptop, passport and other document though have applied for another passport......Now my question is can i use the same MVR to apply for my friend's wedding coming up next year without any issue arising that I intended using it to visit my sister before

OK thanks

Cannot vividly recollect that of last year, just that the vo asked that maybe I've applied for us visa before, which I answered no. He also took one of our passports, left his seat maybe to confirm the stamps on it, cos we have entry pass and out of Benin Republic, Togo and Ghana on it.

However, this is the transcript of this October.

Vo: Good morning, passport plz.
Me: Good morning, handed her the passport.
Vo: Are these all your children
Me: Yes.
Vo: Flipped through it, then ask why is only one of your son has a stamped passport (mistake)
Me: Nope, it's in all (so she checked through and apologized)
Vo: where are you going in America
Me: Fort Worth Texas
Vo: where do you work:
Me: I work with blah blah bank, as the branch manager, and perform blah blah blah blah roles.
Vo: How long have been working with the company.
Me: 8 years
Vo: How long will you be staying for your vacation
Me: 10 days.
Vo: How do you know your invitee
Me: He's a childhood friend
Vo: (to my wife) What do you do?
Wife: I'm into business, I'm one of the distributors of blah blah blah Nigeria Limited makers of so so so products. I also manage the family poultry business.
Vo: OK, to me again, your official email add
Me: gave her
Vo: I'm not approving your visa for now, then handed us the blue paper.

One mistake I notice was that I mistakenly answered 10 days for our stay, but it was from Dec. 10-23 I filled on the ds160. Could this be the reason? and how soon do you advise we reapply?

Thank you all for the observation. Noted! I thought as much that the fact I don't know how he got to the US is a problem, but when I asked him before the interview is said Its not must I know how he got to the US. Secondly she asked about my flight and I said I will take care of that but my invitee will take care of expenses when I get to the US. All the same, thank you all will try some other time.

But I am supposed to attend a conference by April 2018 so I don't know if this will affect my chance
