as far as I am concerned, Martins is in the same category as those green horns.

That he has come good before does not mean he will come good now. So, if we try him once and he fails to meet up, what next? We should take him to Russia because he has 'done it' before?

Are people supposed to go to the World Cup based on their exploits four years ago?

Martins is in no better a position than the likes of Dessers, the only difference is that he used to be a regular about seven years ago, same as Uche.

How many games did Ola Aina need to be part of the team so much a lot of people say he is a sure bet to the World Cup?

Even if it is just one game. You can tell a good player in minutes like Kog45 said. Nwakaeme spent over 60 minutes on the pitch, but Onyekuru needed just 25 minutes to be ranked higher by the audience.

So far, Rohr is wasting time calling up defenders when he needs to be arranging forwards.... Call up Dessers against Seychelles next year. We can size him up then, Martins has not given a reason to be considered considering his age. Defoe was the best performing player for Sunderland in their run up to relegation, that was his ticket to Bournemouth and the English team.

What is Martins doing in China currently? Is he the best player in his team? I couldn't stop laughing when Komekn cited his performances for clubs in the last 10 years, who is asking about a decade-old performance? Give us something recent like Ighalo did, let's know the basis of his call up

Actually Martins just before he got injured had a higher goal scoring ratio and even more assists than Ighalo.

So you should laugh even louder that statistically speaking Obagoal is better than Ighalo.

That being the case are you ready to welcome him to the SE not on past glories but merit. What you call past glories is proven consistent top performances over the past 10 years in some of the best club sides in the world and leagues.

Funny enough he never descended to Belguim league or Turkish league or any other backwater leagues if the truth must be told.

Pls where are the tested CF?my point is Nwakaeme i saw against Algeria is not better than Osimhen or Awoniyi.

We still need to see him play once again before passing out final verdict.

However, what have Awoniyi and Osimhen acheived lately than Nwakaeme?

Omo, I wasn't getting involved in the argument. I was just responding to one quote in what you posted - the highlighted portion. I have watched all Barca's games these seasons and I am not sure that Paulihno has started more than 3 games in total, so it's totally false to claim that he has started ALL games since he joined Barca.

O pari

he stated that paulinho, hulk and terdelli were called to the national team when they were featuring in the Chinese league

I refuted the claim by letting him know all the call ups paulinho have in the qualifiers which he all have started (in the national team not Barcelona) were when he went to Barcelona not when he was in China

OK O I don agree one more trial but when Kayode had 15 mins against SA we all said Rohr have seen him enough,no more invitation, when Osimhen had a comeo appearance we said he was too young

But Nwakaeme need another trial, when Kayode is on the bench looking for another opportunity. Please is Nwakaeme better than Kayode?

Remember Aina came in against Zambia less than 12 mins we all saw what he can do,against Algeria he had a decent game, the same thing Shehu he seized the opportunity when it matter most.Oyekwuru came in against Algeria we all saw the glimpses.Ogu after a long time waiting came in with a goal and MOTM.

Why can't Nwakaeme show his stuff so that we can forget Ighalo, funny enough Iheanacho was pushed to the wing to accommodate him.

Hope he prove me wrong if he had another opportunity against Argentina because guys like Peter Onuachu,Desserts,Osimhen, Awoniyi,Umar Sadiq are waiting to impress.

Hmm! You can say that again. I mean your first and second paragraph. Chai! grin

I do not like the way Ebuehi looks in that picture. Looks like one who has been neglected. Rohr should have played him against Algeria. I am still pained about it because I do not like players ignored even when it is glaring they have something to offer.

Let's not ridicule the proposal.

Obagoal was on top of his game in the MLS, a stand out player winning several accolades. He has been on top of his game in the Chinese league as well. Until he lost momentum after getting injured and us still injured.

Most of the players compared to him have not achieved anything near what he has achieved. The question is does he have something to offer. Prior to Injury he has a higher goal ratio than Ighalo and more assists.

Does he not at least deserve to be considered. Of he can't perform we look elsewhere.

I've noticed that except Ola Aina most of the players you crave their invite don't get invited. Now that you have put your weight behind Obagoal I doubt if he would be invited. Na joke oo

no offence, but Mr. MacKenzie is obviously more knowledgeable of the state of our economy than the state of our football.

He obviously failed to recognize the uphill task of qualifying from our group

He is blissfully unaware of our players in camp and their abilities hence his lazy postulation that we will line up against Argentina in a similar fashion as we did against Algeria.

This article lacks proper research and the writer would have achieved more playing a PS4 ESPN game of this match than writing such an amateurish article
amusing of him thinking we'll line up the same 11 that started against Algeria.

Changes will occur in that lineup:
*Mikel will come in
*Onyekuru
*Nwakaeme back to the bench

I looked at that picture with intensity. That guy is a loner. Check out all the other pictures, you'd see them in twos or threes. Perhaps it's communication problem. I doubt if he speaks English. I feel so much for that boy, I don't know why.

I view your point but I don't think it's entirely Rohr's fault. When we're ahead in a match is the time Rohr is waiting for I guess...
His time will surely come.

But we beat them at Abuja before and they came back beating us in the next friendly match, beat us again in the worldcup so why didn't "psychology" work then?
if we had beaten them prior straight to the WC without loosing to them ,it would have worked.
but we are closing up the gap .

The team is really a team. Bunch of jolly good fellows. I read ANS report of Argentinian legend Mario Kempes complaining that there's no camaraderie in their team. Aguero confirmed it in an oblique way when he said this “There are a lot of new players and it’s hard to get to know each other. I remember that we understood each other quite well.” as reported on Completesportsnigeria.com.

With unity, much can be achieved.

I definitely hope that Rohr would give him some playing time tomorrow. Now that we are done with African opposition, there's no more excuse for not playing him. Or else, he would stop giving him an invite. No one wants to remain a training material, especially the one we've moved heaven and earth to convince to switch.

"Wish to see a repeat of this come tomorrow. I just wish Ahmed Musa could score another brace against Argentina come tomorrow."

Ahmed Musa celebrates the first of his two goals against Argentina three years ago.

When Ahmed Musa scored the second goal against Argentina in Porto Alegre at Brazil 2014, he became the first and the only Nigerian footballer to have scored a brace at the World Cup.
