He's trying to play like Pique.
Mujtahida:

Your first point is spot on. He was coming in deep and playing like he wanted to play like a libero. I began scratching my head. One time he lost to the ball to Aguero. We recovered but that could have made it 3-0 and crushed us psychologically. He doesn't have pace. He should not be used for a three man back line.

I think that, going forward, John Ogu would give Onazi a run for his money in that CM role. Onazi is a hard worker and very experienced and I used to be a big fan. But I have started to re-evaluate his game lately because of his new hard tackling style. I think that the Euro refs would punish him if he plays that way at the World Cup....they are always looking for a reason to flash red cards to African players.

And guess what Onazi wasn't playing in those 2 games..

I totally agree. Right now the 2 top names on Rohr's team list are:
Mikel
VicMo

Victor Moses is a definite starter.

Russia 1 Argentina 2. But the scoreline flattered Russia ... it would've been more like 6-1, if not for their goalkeeper - Akinfevev.

Mujtahida:

Apart from aesthetics, functionality is also considered. I read one time that Rohr wanted a Jersey that gives more visibility to the players.

That's true, I still remember.

He has a point.

we are mostly black and playing on a pitch that's almost same color with your Jersey isn't that great.

Those two boys are ballers. Aneke style doesn't suit Epl. He will fair better in la liga. The lad is a real baller and versatile.

They are really talented footballers.

But I'd disagree with you as regards Aneke, his style is a bit similar to Paul Pogba.

He wouldn't do badly in LaLiga though, my only problem with these English born players is their reluctance to seek a move elsewhere. They'd rather remain in Championship or League 1.

Leon was not poor though he made two mistakes in the first half, and the game was already changed before Leon went out. The scores was 3-2 before he went out.

I even noticed he played better in the second half.

How could u notice that he played better in the second when we did all the playing at least from the beginning of the second? He was way bellow the level we have come to expect of him. The score does not always tell the whole story especially when it comes to individual performances.

According to Rohr, he was not fit and had to pass a late fitness test to play against Argentina.

It was a new formation but the personnel were not equipped for it.

Idowu plays as a wing back every week for Amkar so he is very suited.

Ebuehi is pacy and loves running forward.

Shehu and Aina are more defensive minded and that does not suit the position.
the main diffrence between the 2 halves are the subs yea
difference between MAKESHIFTS and the players who own the position
lets see but things are not really going well for echiejile barring injuries/loss of form i see the competition being between aina and echiejile
some tuning needed and i'll say rorh is bringing something close to the german pattern
its been long i see 9ja play this way the hunger, the drive if you no dey careful you chop 8,, unlike the super eagles of then after 2 goals na to dey turn turn for midfield dey show off but this boys no send anybody.. All thanks to Rorh, the boys and amaju pinnick (dat man resemble who wan work) he his ambitious
the only problem is that "I LOG OUT ENTER THE THREAD BACK ABOUT 100PAGES DON GO WETIN HAPPEN??" ABEG SOFTLY

BookMark comment of the year award "I PREDICT A ROUND OF 16 OR Q/F OF NIG VS ENG NIGERIA WILL WIN 3-1 and the queen boys will cry alot espescially our brothers dele and tammy"

Onazi is a good player, but his positional play and style of play limits the second biggest star(Ndidi) on the teams play. Sometimes baba has to die so his superstar pikin can shine. Ogu and Mikel create a midfield for Ndidi to do what he does best. Onazi is a workaholic but his presence on the field always limits Ndidi's performances.

When you draw with a team that is ranked far below you, you lose points. The calculation is not all addition there are negative operations embedded in it. And besides it is a 4 year ranking period. Although the more recent results carry more weight. A bad result we got 3-4 years could also be a contributing factor.

Thank God for that Argentina win else our ranking points would have been about 611. The win against Argentina brought it back to 671

Don't say I didn't tell you.

You will see things for your self the day the ranking is released.
we are on it

Ogu provides 'soft' energy and it favors Ndidi cos Ndidi is high octane. Onazi too is high on energy and does not pipe for Ndidi. Perhaps the best is to play one and not both of them.
