please how many days did your passpirt spend at the embassy before you received this mail. i submitted mine last week wednesday and no update yet

When I submitted my passport for renewal it spent about 14days before I was sent a mail to schedule interview. I went for the interview, got my visa approved and it took another 14days to get my passport back again!

Eh... if you got a 221g "refusal" (i.e. applied via Dropbox and asked to schedule interview) you may not be able to expedite your appointment.

The date I got for interview was two days to my travel date (I was going for a meeting). I tried to expedite it.. called, emailed and chatted with their customer care agent and was told that you can't expedite a 221g appointment.

There is no harm in trying though.

Chai, it is okay.

You both will get emails. I got my own mail with my passport number and my DH got his.

Go to DHL and ask them for both passports.

We need to know the status of his visa too before we go for collection. We have to travel, we are far away from Abuja or Lagos. Is there any way we can do this?

@podada, I mean which airport do you plan to arrive (POE) in the US ...that can be a determinant for cheaper rates

podada:

lagos for now but if I see a better option...I will take bus to the airport abeg.

Yes there is!
Go to https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/
Click on "Check my visa application status
Enter his details (DS 160 number)

It will show "issued" if your husband's visa has been issued.

You can also track his passport on http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-passportretrieve.asp

Be careful ! You don't know who is who here!

To ease your boredom, go to memorial mall, galleria or the mall on westheimer (highway 6), spend the entire day..enter shops, feed your eyes and go home. You can also visit the zoo

Hello my good people how are you all doing its been a long while.
I have been trying to get a Dr. that will agree for VBAC in Houston and its environs ie Katty Sugarland, Richmond and Missouri city.
Apart from the Harris health system trust me I have called all doctors I can get hold of but no hope.
Can anyone please help even if it is not in the above-mentioned areas I will appreciate.

Happy weekend
Kind regards

221g ia different,is not like the normal one
I went for a follow up last month and was denied
I have travelled to d US 3 times o and never over stayed
Told them i was going to have my baby too
I paid all my bills and have my zero balance
I dont knw the reason why i was denied sincerely, although the VO said she didnt see any where in my last interview that i was going to give birth, she only saw that i declared i was pregnant,i was so shocked and that how my interview took another turn
I have reapplied was able to get appt for December
Am going to get an itemized bill from the hospital just incase the ask
All the best

Hey guys please within Turkish airline and virgin Atlantic which is preferable also I'm traveling with my toddler, please those who have flown these airline I need review to make a decision, thank you .

Virgin Atlantic...No special treatment to pregnant women.

For seats with leg space, you pay extra on for them while in the air...They charge between £70- £ 120.

It was just a plain flight....
All I wanted was to reach my destination....

Went through London spent a night lodged in a hotel, left the next morning....

It was the sane type of service, nothing special.

when u get to the airport, u give them ur visa on arrival approval letter, they then print out the ticket. I think it cost me about 113 or 117. dollars... but it wasn't up to 120 dollars... some pple have actually paid less, like 80 dollars. I think it depends on the period. mine was in December.

many thanks!

@ Everyone Pls I need clarification with this Annotation on the visa page.

DW went for interview and was granted Visa
During the interview she on her own informed the VO that she was pregnant even though she just applied to go on vacation with me this December(I have visa already and traveled before). The V.O asked if she intends to give birth in the US and she responded by saying.... that would be next year in February. The V.O then said he would put that in her records but that she should inform them at the POE when she is doing and get necessary papers ready. Now she is considering going to deliver next year January because the allowed office leave for the December is just for fewer days than expected. She is now planning to deliver in Missouri.

How can we know what Annotation is on her visa?
Would she have any challenge at the POE even with all her possible compliance?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by Weperwema: 8:22am On Nov 18, 2017
@ Everyone It is Multiple entry visa though and nothing under where you have Annotation on the Visa Page.

congratulations , which hospital ? who is the Dr.?

Terese69:
So in the spirit of giving back grin... Gosh I can't stand that line cheesy

Oh well, second missionary journey completed to the glory of God!

I used the same hospital and doctor as my first time.

Location- Dallas, Texas
Airline- Qatar. Ticket cost N418k (I will never fly them ever again. My experience with them was an absolute nightmare)

Medical expenses
Hospital fee - $3,000 (Vaginal delivery, 2 days hospital stay)
Doctor's fee - $2,400 (should have been $2,800 but I was allowed to pay my former fee as a return patient after much haggling. This fee is inclusive of all lab tests done at the doctor's clinic, sonogram and prenatal vitamins)
Epidural - $1,000 (Dem nor gree gimme discount cry. Apparently, this is already the discounted fee for self pay patients)
Hospital Paediatrician - $478 after discount (Original bill was $673)
Paediatrician after discharge - $215 (First visit $75 + second visit @2weeks $65 + $75 for new born screening done during the second visit)
Labs - $82 ($35 for me {original bill was $114} + $47 for baby {original bill was $109})

Total medical bill = $7,175

Declined hearing test and circumcision (they would have cost $330 and $710 respectively).

Documentation
Picked up baby's BC 4 days after birth. Had the passport appointment 7 days after birth, picked up the passport same day. Received baby's SSN 2 weeks after birth. Applied for VOA myself via email, got the approval within 48hours. Paid for it upon arrival. The process was pretty easy and straightforward. Got all my zero balance receipts before departure.

BC - $23 per copy + optional $2 for plastic envelop for safekeeping
Passport - $165 (expedited)
VOA - $190

Accommodation - After my horrible experience living with a family friend during my last missionary journey, I decided to rent a one bedroom apartment via Airbnb. Paid $3,400 for 11 weeks. God blessed me with the most fantastic airbnb host ever. I can't sing her praises enough. She made sure I had everything I needed in the apartment to make me comfortable. She bought a dry mill blender so I could blend my banga and pepper soup spices, bought a bassinet for my baby, books and toys for my toddler daughter and a sweater for my mum when it got cold. She took me to my doctor appointments, to the hospital, passport appointment, shopping, sightseeing and then returned to pick me up afterwards when she could. She took me to pick my husband up from the airport when he arrived and even went to drop him when he was returning. Upon my departure, her car was too small to fit me and my countless bags so she rented a truck just so she could drop us off at the airport. At the airport, she helped with my bags and paid a trolley guy to move my bags to the check in area before leaving. All this she did at no extra cost to me. Even when I offered to buy her fuel for her car, she'd vehemently refuse and tell me I am spending enough already as it is. This is a total stranger o, oyibo woman at that. Someone I didn't know from Adam and had never met before. I was beyond amazed at her hospitality and generosity. She saved me a lot on transportation and made my trip a lot easier. She was simply amazing to my family and I. God bless her immensely!

Mode of transportation - Uber and Lyft. I'd do a price check on both apps and request the cheaper option.

That's all folks. That's as far as my trip went.

Goodluck to everyone still on the journey and congratulations in advance. May it end in praise for everyone of you.

Officially hanging up my child bearing boots! Thank God for everything!!
